Rate this book
A failed first kiss attempt. Teenage thievery and toilet-papering trees. Two severe thunderstorms. A mountain, a canoe, a campfire, and a Camaro. From the angst and mischief of his teenage years to mid-life maturity, no subjects are off-limits in this honest and thought-provoking journey that takes readers from the red pines and redwoods to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Rooted in years of journaling and discerning the depths of life and death, skeptical pastor Keith Long intertwines storytelling, humor, and daring Biblical interpretation in this revelatory memoir, Between the Trees .

What a wonderful book! Pastor Keith is not afraid to share about his past and how fear, faith, life and death have affected him through the years. His screenplay on the story about Adam and Eve should definitely be made into a movie - with all of the actors he wants to cast. It’s always reassuring to know that our spiritual leaders are people with a lot of the same feelings, doubts and fears just like the rest of us.
