Parks and Poltergeists

Rate this book
Frozen drinks, afternoon delights, and not a spirit in sight. Freshly sun-kissed and finally recovered from their ordeal at Finley Lodge, Brea and her Ghost Dudes have been living the carefree vacation life. But the time has come for the gang to get back to ghost hunting, and what better way to do that than by visiting Realms of Discovery, an amusement park that has seen better days. A new owner has his sights set on revamping the park, but mysterious “pranks” have scared off his crews and left him with one choice- calling the Spirit Vlog for help. These weird situations might be more than they seem. Among the broken lights and lonely rides, there’s a darkness that’s eagerly waiting for the park’s next visitors. Will Brea and the Ghost Dudes be able to uncover the truth within the lurking shadows, or will they join them? This is the second book in the Spirit Vlog Series. It's a mix of ROMCOM and Horror and is meant for audiences 18 and up.

This book was better than book 1 - they are all working like a team, and it was fun to see them unravel the mystery at this park. Plus, spooky abandoned amusement part, come on, that's fun for a haunted story!

This series is light, a little amateur-ish in tone (with editorial errors), but fun fluffy silliness. It definitely worked for my mood.

This book was even more delightful than the first! The haunts, the jumps, the romance; all of it was just so well done and really freaking enjoyable.

James managed to keep this group of ghost hunters relatable and down to earth, while still exciting and fresh. This adventure was far creepier than their first (these two, actually!) and there were plenty of twists and turns along the way.

Also, 🍍 If you know, you know.

Definitely pick this one up if you love a fun group of thrill seekers and things that go bump in the night.

I liked it more than the first. Brea still needs reining in but the guys have it handled. Plenty of ghosts, sex and lighthearted doting time. The situation with Mack was nuts. All the guys’ warnings and she doesn’t get it till the damage is already done. No cliffhanger but plenty of problems for the next book. Favourite characters were the witches. I’d read the next one.

This book was so much fun to read. I've always had a fascination to ghosts so this book was right up my alley. I love the laid back feel of how Brea does things. There's more to her than even she realizes. I could totally see myself in her place traveling the country and hunting for ghostly encounters. I loved it!!!

More fun with ghost hunters 👻

** Cliffhanger Warning! ** I love this book. It's a paranormal, reverse harem romance with a mystery, lots of action, ghosts, and steamy goodness. There's a ton of laugh out loud moments, as well as a lot of scary ones. I enjoyed how the story centers around the ghost hunting and the main characters' relationships.

I especially like how the relationship(s) between Brea and the guys are developing. I am excited to see how the meeting of the the parents works in the next book.

I also enjoyed all the creepy stuff. The old amusement park was super spooky. The scene with the animatronics, the fight with the dopplegangers... Eek!

At the end of book 1, I wondered what was up with the super fan/potential stalker? It seems that subplot is thickening. Answers are coming soon, I hope.

Several typos, but nothing too distracting. It looks like the writing / proofreading is improving.

4 Stars,

I don't know what it is about ghost stories or paranormal things but I just love it!

This book was shorter than the first and I wish it was longer there was more action in this amusement park than the hotel in the first book. We also got a little more information on Mack.... but still has yet to be resolved.

This does have an open ending, which is fine, but I wish we got more of the series throughout the year, I love all the guys and Brea. They are a great time, it makes me want to watch Ghost Adventures again, its been way too long since I have seen an episode.

I would recommend this series for someone new to the paranormal RH reading. It is quick and easy to get in to, there aren't any lulls and you are sucked in right away!

What do you get when you add ghost hunters, an amusement park, a stray minature panther, spa day face masks, and no shortage of hauntings? I'll give you one hint. It's not Scooby Doo and the gang of Mystery Inc riding around in the Mystery Machine! This was a fabulous book from start to finish. Jarica James has done it again with book 2 of the Spirit Vlog, making me wish that the Darklings were real so I could join along for all the mischief, shenanigans, and sexy times! Brea, Lincoln, Ben, Ryker, and Ethan are a wonderful team of paranormal investigators. There are thrills, chills, intrigue, snacks, and lots of fun. Hold on tight and keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times!

What the creeper!!? Don't read if you don't wanna know...

Ok so wow this series is a blast so far I literally can't wait for the next book hopefully sooner than next year lol. Mack is a stage 5 clinger I mean who sends Polaroid dick pics😂😂 she recognized him though so I'm hoping she remembers in the next book or maybe not and it keeps going for like 10 or 20 more books I can handle that.... I love ghost stories the little inn was awesome and the creepy twins was great the poor kid though what a shit dad to be ashamed of his child like that!! Anyway I loved this book and ry is my bbf just sayin...

Is this where we go for the spankings?

Oh my. This series is just... amazing! Brea and her boys are fantastic! I just kinda love everything about them. The whole concept of a group of paranormal investigators in an RH relationship feels really unique to me, I KNOW I haven’t read anything else like it. Also? This author knows how to write a spanking scene! It was just... deeply satisfying. 😘 And the ending? I’ve been waiting for that little issue to flair up and BOY DID IT!!! Can’t wait for book 3!!!

Brea, Lincoln, Ryker, Ben, and Ethan are investigating an amusement park in this book and let me just tell you.... it gets creepy, especially if you read this at night like I did, but I love how the guys try to protect Brea as much as they can. I can not help but to wonder what is going to happen with the whole Mack situation because I have a feeling it is going to get ugly with his stalkerish ways after what was revealed at the end of this book. Also, I can not wait to read about Brea meeting Lincoln's mom in the next book!

Ghosts and abandoned amusement parks what more could you possibly want? Throw in Brea and her guys and you are guaranteed an amazing adventure. I continue to fall deeper in love with these characters. I love the way Brea and the guys fit each other so well it truly makes the story that much greater! And the added bonus of ghost hunting you have another great read. There is also a new group of characters introduced in this book that you are sure to love! Can't wait for the next haunting adventure!

The ghost gang up’ed the spooky ante with this one!

Another fantastic installment with the ghost busting gang! I love how much this group is really growing as a team. They all have their strengths, but it’s cool to see their virtual fans recognize those and see them and connect with them. This continues to be a more light hearted read in terms of drama within the group which I love. It’s fun for the drama to be external (ghosts and bad guys) and the harem to have such a strong connection. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

All of the things that I liked about book one are minimized in this book. The author struggles to write realistic human interaction. Normal people don't giggle and laugh till they cry this much.
I almost feel assaulted by the overuse of exclamation points.

The plot itself is interesting, if a bit rushed. I wish we would have had more time in the various locations to be scared. It was all anti-climactic and a little Scooby-Doo-esque.

The stalker subplot seems thrown in there without any real thought.

I don't think I can continue with this one.

Must have more, please!?

Oh man, things are out of control spooky in this book! I love book one, it was right up my alley and checked all my favorite boxes: ghost hunting, paranormal spookiness, humor, a steaming hot guy with a bad attitude that comes with his own group of equally delicious male friends. Yup it had them all! This was even better, I just wish it were longer, and it had more delightfully naughty scenes too! Can't wait to read book three!

I love her novels

I simply love this author's novels. The paranormal element, the romance, the suspense, the PR are beautifully balanced. Only the spanking Brea gets and actually enjoys, is beyond my comprehension. I am a bit of an empath, and almost winced when she got hit, so had to skip that part. But otherwise, i just loved reading the story, looking forward to more, many thanks dear author.... 👍🙏

Wow this book was captivating and freaky. Brea is a fantastic character, she can be strong and stubborn but she is also caring and loving. The guys are supportive and all of them love what they do. The freaky factor comes into play with the "ghosts", it was scary and fascinating. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Just as great as the first!

I really enjoy the personality of the characters. This book followed mostly one particular haunt but that was not the only plot in action. I love the layers of action. There was some hot romance mixed in with all the mystery. I can't wait for the next one.

loved the adventures of how they worked together as the plot twisted and turned..

The research on the stones was great. I loved how they went from amatures ( with talents) to learning a new way to do things and not afraid to ask for help.. The twist and turnes was well written. Would love to read more books from the author. Keep up the good writing...

It's so easy to laugh with these characters even when I'm sitting here freaked out. Brea and her guys always leave me wanting more! I can't wait to see what they get up to next!

Cute, fast paced story. I liked that this books follows the ghost story to the end unlike the first book. You also get more depth into the Mack issue. This book is mostly focused on the the ghost story though, very little smut (maybe 2 scenes), and the Mack bit is in the epilogue.
