*Please read entire description before purchase.* If you don't enjoy an angsty slow burn, with in depth character and story development, don't buy.

Trigger Warnings listed within first pages of book

When a Biker with a tortured past, meets a mysterious woman in a dangerous situation, she becomes a light in his dark life that he'll do anything to keep. But she has a dark past of her own. One that is creeping ever closer, threatening to extinguish that light forever....
*This is the story of Dean and Vanna. Two star crossed lovers who come to realize that they need each other to survive, in more ways than one. *
Dean Keegan is a Vigilante Biker with a tortured past, who makes abusers of women and children pay for their crimes against the innocent. The story begins with Dean at rock bottom, on the verge of giving up after having lost his marriage and about to be thrown out of his club. His personal life is a wreck, but then Dean meets a unique woman named Vanna, who is unbeknownst to him, in hiding from her ex fiance cop currently doing time for nearly killing her years prior. They both have emotional scars and inner demons they're dealing with, that effect their lives and especially their budding relationship.*

This is an in depth love story between two damaged characters that takes place in a small country town in a fictionalized region of the Carolina's. If you're looking for a book to breeze through, this isn't it. Though every page is written for a reason and there are layers to each and every scene.

*The main story line of this book is wrapped up by the end, with a happily ever after for now (HEAFN), however there is a building story in the background that will continue and carry over into the upcoming Book 2. So technically you could say there is a "cliffhanger". *
This isn't exactly an insta-love story, but could be considered a mutual insta-lust, that develops into true love. It's a slow burn romance, and the circumstances around their relationship are unique and complicated at times, especially coming from two different walks of life. Dean and Vanna DO NOT cheat on each other, and though Vanna self identifies as a pagan witch, this is NOT written as a paranormal romance. There are witches in the world, just as there are bikers. It's up to the reader to decide whether or not spells or magic are real. Also, there isn't an extreme age gap (28h/37H)*

SAVIOR Book 1, is not your typical MC Romance style book, though the main character is a Biker with connections to an MC. At 660+ pages, it is fast paced, and centers more heavily on the love story than MC politics, for a majority of the book. However, the MC politics are brewing in the background throughout the story, and will carry over into the sequel.*

Trauma can cause your brain to remain in a state of hyper-vigilance. It can cause you to suppress memory and impulse controls, and trap you in a constant state of intense emotional reactivity. Savior Book 1 & 2, Deal heavily with two main characters navigating life and relationships through and after, trauma.
As I write my characters true to who they are, they will be far from perfect, and might not make the same decisions you would. We all deal with things in our own ways. This is their story.

TROPES AND Vi 0 lence, Blasphemy, St@ lking and Vigilante Justice.

Literally could have been 300 pages less. The main character was supposed to come across as sweet but actually just came across as annoying. The amount of times I screamed in anger because she was standing in her own way or being… excuse my language… a f**king moron with how she was keeping her secrets. I hate leaving a book unfinished so I finished but honestly nothing really happened for the first 500 pages except minor stuff which didn’t actually add anything to the story. Rant over but I don’t recommend this book and I probably won’t read the next one.

Damn Jennifer Saviano I was totally hook on this book. I couldn’t put it down. Plus so manny times I wanted to through the book or get inside the story and slap some of these characters. Amazing characters the way you explained from the story to the characters what they felt.
It the begging from Dean what he went through. Plus Lucinda always trying to screw his life. After couple years pass and he finds Vanna.

Also in the beginning of the story explains what happen to Vanna and who is Jack as well. Your emotional will go up and down for this story.

Viking he was to funny love him to death. But also I understand his part to always protecting Dean.

You want suspense you got it. You want hot romance you got it. You want your emotional get all screw up you got it. I love this story so much I couldn’t put it down. And it so hard not to explain about it. Thank how good it was. Jennifer Saviano thank you for this amazing story. And can’t wait what happens next on book two.

Amazing story

This story takes you on a wild ride with Vanna and Dean

Both have had turbulent relationships. Dean's filled with lies and deceit.

Vanna coming from an abusive relationship where her ex was a former cop that she sends to prison.

Times ticking and she needs a savior to be able to rescue her for when her is released.

Throughout their journey there was many ups and downs. But they ended up working things out each time pulling back to one another.

This was a great story that kept you on your toes waiting for what would come next. I can't wait to read book two.

This is the the authors debut novel and it was sent to me in exchange for a review.

Its really well written and the characters feel like real people with real flaws even if they were infuriating sometimes. It reminded me of a movie because I could really easily picture exactly what was happening because the author put a lot of detail into her descriptions.

It’s different from any Motorcycle club romance I’ve ever read. It is definitely what I would consider a slow burn. There is a ton of will they won’t they and just when you think one of them will give in the other backs off.

The MC romances I read are usually with the outlaw one percenter MCs and though those exist in this story, our mans MC is not one. However, our love interest, Dean, is a bit of an outlaw himself.
It actually comes off like a fairly realistic depiction of a real life MC.

Our female lead, Vanna, is a curvy witch in the real world. This is not a fantasy story. She’s a normal woman practicing witchcraft, which I found super interesting.
I found myself noting how so much of this seems story comes off super realistic, which is not something I usually get in romance and specifically not in MC romances.

All that being said This would not be an honest review without me warning you how long this book is. I normally burn through stories quickly and this one took me a while, which is ultimately why I can’t give it 5 Stars.
While I really appreciated the in-depth character work and detail, I couldn’t help feeling like this story could have been cut down a decent amount.

I’m still genuinely impressed this is a debut novel. The writing is super good and engaging, the dialogue is literally laugh out loud funny at times and heartbreaking at others and the characters feel super real and different. I am ultimately super glad I finished the book because the author gives us a good ending and there’s a few twists in here that had me literally gasping out loud.

The book is currently on KU so if you have that there’s zero reason not to pick this book up and give an unknown but really talented author a try just know it’s a bit of a ride to get to the end.

A HUGE theme in this story is domestic violence so please keep that in mind if you’re going in. There’s a fair amount of explicit violence, SA and stalking.

I actually found this author on Etsy. Bought the book from her store (FYI it is thick and same amount of pages as kindle) and attempted to read it. Yes attempted but couldn’t because the font is too small even with my glasses on. Anyways I searched on kindle to see if the book was available and it is on KU. The story was good but very drawn out. Vanna bugged the crap out of me. She was so wishy washy on the “I want you Dean” and then putting him in the friend zone. The went on for more than half the book. I think the two finally did the deed about 75-80% into the story. For being an ex kind of biker I would have thought he be more alpha in claiming her and not being forced into the friend zone. The potential was there, it just needed to be sped up on the story and not so drawn out. I give the story 3.5 stars.

1. How can an author know how to use the word “phlegmatically” but not know how to use commas properly?
2. I thought it was pretty tacky and classless for Dean to call up a waitress that he had a ONS with to use her to get a reservation at her restaurant for him and Vanna.
3. I hate “Doll” as a nickname for a woman. I also hate the way Dean always said, “Aces!”. It sounded ridiculous and didn’t suit his character at all.
4. I found Dean’s constant sexual innuendos during EVERY conversation they had to be crass and off-putting.
5. Dean had absolutely NO right being annoyed because Vanna hadn’t told him all her secrets since he hadn’t told her ANY of his.
6. Dean completely ruined the importance of their first kiss by using it to piss off Lucinda.

This was SUPER LONG story for no reason. I don't mind the slow burn, but sheesh. There was no chemistry between the main characters. It was like it was stuck between being an mc/romance. They weren't very smart. I actually read the 2nd book. Pretty much the same. A total bore. I skimmed both books.

Nope

Slow burn and non-existent burn are two different things.
Also, is Character Development in the room with us?
Got it for free, happy about it.

I already loved MC romances but this one blew me away!! I LOVED it so much! Dean is perfection and I love how much he fights for Vanna throughout the whole book!

Vanna deserves the world and I’m so glad he had Dean to help her see how amazing she is and how much love she deserves!

Jack is a butthole and I wanted to torture him so many times 😆

Literally had a heart attack near the end there and I cried right with Vanna.

The witch aspects with Vanna were just perfect and the protection spell was the BEST!! 😏

I can’t wait to see where book 2 goes with everything that was building there in the background.

Viking is definitely one of my favorites and I need more of him!

I listened to the this on audiobook. This was my first biker romance type book and I was totally engrossed. The voice narrators did an amazing job with each character. They really brought the characters to life. The storyline kept my interest the whole time and there was a ton of action. I couldn’t wait to listen to more. I am going to be picking up book 2 on audio really soon!

It was a really good story with great characterization and a believable romance and healing journey! I do wish that Vanna and Dean's story has ended in book one and the overall plot continued with Viking in the next book because I'm not super interested in reading another book this long with the same two characters who may or may not repeat their little separations AGAIN (which really dragged on for me at times in this book because it felt like nothing at all was happening and like their characters were completely going backwards). I also don't really want to read the same fights over and over again, which I know I probably will. There were several times where, though I absolutely LOVED her character, I was so frustrated with Vanna that I kind of hated her because she was being willfully ignorant, which is understandable given her history but not really to the extent she would repeatedly take it. All of that being said, I really did enjoy this book! I loved the characters and their depths and differences and hardships. I really want some of the side characters' stories!

Needs more work

DNF
By 34% I started skimming. By 40% I just couldn't anymore.
I can see the story's potential, but the author needs a reliable editor to not only fix glaring spelling errors and misused words, the throughout, but to help eliminate the info dumps that bog the story down to the point that I just got tired of reading.
There would be moments of "finally we're moving on" only for there to be another page of unnecessary info dump.
After 4 days of struggling and only getting to 34%, it is not a reader problem, but a "this needs more work" concern.
I hope to maybe come back to this again if it's reworked.

Amazing. Savior is a MC romance book, the amount of detail and world building that is put into Savior is very beautifully done. You can feel the emotions of the characters and feel as if you could be in this world with them.

The main characters both come from abusive pasts. Dean is putting himself back together after a relationship built on lies and cheating, while Vanna is on the run from an abusive ex who threatens her and her friends from a distance.

The detail that is put into the couple coming together and trying to work past their scars and demons ,both individually and together, is wonderfully done. While there are couple issues happening side by side in the story, Jennifer did a wonderful job at not giving whip lash between any problems and kept the story flowing smoothly.

It is a Slow Burn romance but the tension and build up the Dean and Vanna getting together is hot!!

I absolutely cannot wait for book 2!

Aces!

This book was beyond my expectations! I truly couldn't put it down! I didn't even want to sleep because I needed answers 😅

Vanna is this sweet but strong woman that had to overcome so much insecurity and trauma when he knight shows up.

Dean is this ruggedly handsome presence that has his own demons to battle.

I loved these characters so much and I was just so invested in this story. I need more! I can't wait for book 2! This was written with all the passion that the characters are experiencing as well. It knocked my socks off. I can't even find the right words to explain how amazing this book was. 😍 Well done 👏 and please give me more!

Honestly, I have no words. This book was absolutely amazing. I’ve never read MC anything before. This one blew me away. Dean may be my new book boyfriend. Yummy, caring, tough and brave — what more could you ask for? Already queued up book two. The narrators were also incredible! I’ve met Paige in real life and she was so convincing, I forgot she wasn’t Vanna. And, PJ nailed Dean. Excellent listen!

I Loved this book. I could not put it down. It was the right amount of drama with romance. It had me at the end he of my seat multiple times. I also loved that the characters are all built as actual people so you can picture that this could be you. I’m so glad this was recommended for me and cannot wait to read book two.

I listened to Savior book 1 on Audible and I was blown away by the performance by Paige Reisenfeld & PJ Freebourn. The story is really what makes this story stand out. It’s LONG, but so worth it. I’m already making my way through book 2 and I’ll be devouring book 3 as soon as it’s available.

One of the best MC books...

Dean and Vanna, this is one unusual couple and I mean that in a very good way! They are two people who have been hurt and betrayed by the ones they loved... Dean's ex wife ugh!! I thoroughly enjoyed the start if this series and I said it was one of the best MC books because in my view the club complimented the storyline. It's focused on the heartbreaking love story of Dean and Vanna.. I really enjoyed how the story unfolded and since I'm reviewing I really don't like giving away plot points so coming from an avid reader of the MC genre this is 600+ pages of everything from sad, tragic, depressing to happy, full of love throw in crazy ass ex's and the Saviors MC drama alongside the love story of Dean and Vanna it makes for one hell of a beautiful read!! Take a chance and grab this, you won't regret it

Why can’t I give this 10000000000 stars!!!!

If you’re looking for a book to hurt you so good, then look no further than Savior! I STILL can’t stop crying! That ending. I can not even!

Damsel in search of a savior, a dark night. To keep her save from the demon of her past.

This is the perfect morally grey motorcycle riding bada$$ who will do ANYTHING for his girl. Ah I loved every freaking minute! Onto book 2!!!

I wish I could rate this book higher than five stars because this book is my favorite book I've read. Savior had me hooked in the first chapter and I couldn't put it down! The story line, the characters, the love and thought you can so easily see was put into this incredible story... Everything pulled me in and I am so freaking happy about it. I was squealing, giggling, crying, and absolutely in awe of how beautiful it was.

I don't want to spoil anything because you should give it a try to see yourself. But the way the main characters grow, even through their past relationships, the way the whole story just flows through the book, everything about this story is absolutely amazing.

Dean Keegan has easily taken his place as my new book boyfriend and favorite male character I've ever read about! And Vanna, oh my goodness, I love Vanna with my whole heart and soul, she's so sweet and adorable and beautiful and I just want her to always know that. The rest of the crew as well is such amazing characters, I would die for a book about Axel and Cherry! And one for Viking!!

If you read this book (Like you should) Be prepared to sit and read for hours because that's exactly what I did! I even messaged Jennifer at like 3am because I just couldn't stop myself from reading. The author herself is so kind, so thoughtful, and so caring!! I'm glad that I won the giveaway to win this book (But I totally would've bought one anyways) because it's a total game changer!

“We are Saviors, not Saints”

This book….this author…just WOW. I have never experienced anything like this. This story sucks you in from the very. first. page. I want to highlight every single word of every single page. I have read this book twice in one year (and she is thick at 666 pages!) and I will be just as enthused when I pick it up again for a third, fourth, fifth or for the millionth time, this book lives in my heart.

Dean and Vanna are end game, from day one, don’t worry, it’s not insta-love, but definitely soulmate behavior at first sight lol. You will get to know these two so well, and really go THROUGH it with them. While we really get to dive in with the characters, the story is fast past but so in depth, and Jen does such a great job of teaching us about the MC lifestyle, and we get to learn some amazing and meaningful Pagan traditions. She also does a fantastic job of taking us through all the emotions, including the ones you didn’t know you had haha! This story will make you think, feel, hate and love. You will end book one feeling like all of her characters are real life people and you are also on your way to the Twisted Throttle on Friday night to hang with your girl Vanna.

This book is definitely a slow burn, but so, so, soooo worth it, a medium - dark romance, and is suspenseful, with a morally gray Motorcycle Club President MMC who is also a bad-ass underground fighter and is as loyal as they come who has a dirty mouth, and a soft heart. Proceed with caution because you WILL fall for Dean Keegan, and he WILL ruin you for any other man.

As always, make sure to check your trigger warnings….or don’t ;)

Ok

I wanted to absolutely love it. I see it on my fyp all the time. But I couldn't like Vanna. I tried. Even at 80 percent in.. to like her. Her he proved time and time again he was sincere an i just don't see the chemistry there. There was literally her kissing him them walking away for days without notice. Him taking any scrap. I am not a Dean girl. He so sweet and loving. But I would want more of a fighter. I have a bad past also. But it seems to make Vanna so... Naive? Everyone around hee was telling her about MC life. She just always made it seem like she was better. Even after they got to be honest. I didn't see the chemistry. He has a big savior complex. He's a physical fighter but I just wanted him to really walk away for a bit. Have her chase him some. He deserves the world. Even after everything said an done. She still isn't really a Queen for the MC. Cherry is. She gets it. She know what's up. She takes no shit. I wouldn't mind Vanna being with someone like axel or another sweet mc guy. That would make more sense then making someone like Vanna a Queen of the saviors. She's sweet. Loving. But she is not tough in the way the MC needs. Their love just seems forced. It was a long read. Long long. Slow burn but make it snail pace with naps. Longer book I've read of just relationship drama. I didn't start skipping after page 425. I had to. I hope Vikings WOMAN (lol) has more grit. Takes no shit. You know. Good banter. The 3rd book is legion? Now that will be interesting.

Did not really like the story

This story could have been so much better, if the author did not draw out the drama. Way over the top for unnecessary drama. Dean should have put the stop to his ex wife. A hard stop but he is too weak on that subject. Vanna is hard to believe as a witch. The whole love spell and her constant mixed signals, it is only a small part of the reason why I did not like this book.

Spoiler alert
Dean's ex wife is how Vanna's ex is able to find her. Dean not being able to cut his ex from his life, it could cost him the life he wants with Vanna. Plus there is so much wannabe MC bs going on in the background.

The best part is the last 30%

This started out so good and with great promise.
But it soon fizzles to a long drawn out repetition and almost grinds to a disappointing halt.
I almost gave up about halfway through.
However there is some redemption as the best part comes towards the end as the last 30% moved me from 1.5 stars to 3.
The storyline picks up as does the romance and action.
