Okay. I messed up here. And Lucas Scott is not afraid to let me know it. But once tempers have cooled, he’s not ready to leave.

But I couldn’t help it. Once I saw where he lived, I had to bring color to his life the way his pastries light up mine.

Now the baker is watching. He suspects me. And he doesn’t seem angry, in fact he seems... charmed.

Chef Ballard had better stop leaving me pastries. My heart can’t resist someone sweet.

Cute little compilation of novellas - super quick read, right level of spice.
I'm not really into a lot of insta-love premises, but I understand it's a must when you're writing a short story.

I downloaded the 4 box set so this review will be broken down into each book. I enjoyed reading it as a set more than I think I would’ve as separate short stories.

Best friends dad, not to much to the plot. You can still have one even though it’s a short story, this one was just a little too predictable.

Sexy biker rides in on his motorcycle and saves the girl.
Ivy and Samson’s story is a romantic one. I mean, it COULD happen right?!

Big Boxer 4/5
Beck and Lucas’s story is also a cute one. Girl meets childhood crush and gets to have her fantasy come true.

Big Baker 3/5
Chef Javier and Zoe, this one also lacked a sense of “This could totally happen”. Also pretty rushed with holes in the plot.

Great bundle of the first four books in the Big Boys series. The books included are:

He may be big but their love was bigger.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with some Christmas holiday romance thrown in. The characters were easy to relate to and likable. Kate was a wonderful friend and daughter once she calmed down a bit. Jacob and Daphne met three years ago at the first dinner she was invited to with him and Kate. Daphne had been crushing on Jacob since then but knew that there was no way that he could be interested in her. Jacob had been fighting his feelings for Daphne mainly by telling himself that there was no way she would ever be interested in him. A little mistletoe removed their blinders and allowed them to admit more about their feelings for each other. There was some drama but it’s resolved quickly. I loved their happy ever after.


Big Biker
Appearances can be deceiving.

I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a few exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Ivy’s father was horrible. Her mom wasn’t helpful and didn’t stand up for Ivy. Ivy was sweet but she was trapped in a very nice prison that she longed to escape. Samson was protective, possessive, and a total sweetheart. One smile at Samson from Ivy after they met, let him know that she was the one for him. He started taking immediate steps to get her away from the people she was afraid of. Ivy was floored when she saw Samson but she was excited about getting to meet him. They were really good for each other. I liked how the story ended but I wish there was an epilogue further out.


Big Boxer
Finding love with your former crush is awesome.

I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. While there was an age gap, it didn’t seem to impact their relationship. Beck cracked me up with how excited she was to get to go see her teenage crush box in the ring. Lucas was fighting again but wasn’t really into it. After Beck called him out in her article Lucas confronted her about it. There was some steam, some awkwardness, and some angst but they figured it out. I loved their happy ever after.


Big Baker
You never know what will bring you to love.

I really liked this short story. It was sweet, entertaining, and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. Rochelle was a great friend and coworker. She was a hard worker and a supportive friend. Zoe worked as a room cleaner but her passion was art. The chef where she worked was an artist as well but with food. He inspired Zoe and to repay him she gave him something. Javier loved her present and was determined to find her. When they are face to face they are drawn to each other immediately. I really loved their instalove romance. Javier and Zoe’s happy ever after made me smile.

I recommend reading any or all of these books!

No ha estado del todo mal, no es que me encante el cliché de instalove pero aun así he podido disfrutarlos. Si no hubiera sido una edición combinada probablemente no hubiera pasado del primero de la serie, la verdad, porque no es mi estilo, pero estoy intentando adentrarme en la lectura de relatos y entiendo que para escribirlos hay que sacrificar trama y desarrollo de personajes. Creo que mi libro favorito (por trama y personajes) ha sido el tercero, pero las profesiones de los dos protagonistas del cuarto me han encantado. Ojalá leer una novela bien larga de un chef y una pintora de murales anónima y famosa.

I am a sucker for a good big boy/dad-bod main male character. I live for these types of stories, so once I found Cassie Mint's big boys collection I had to buy a physical copy of them. I love every single one of these stories. I think that they are quite original, and I had to read them all at once. I remember I stopped working on a school paper to finish reading these stories. I promise they are so good you won't regret getting them!

I love the story it was very delightful the part I don’t like about it leave you hangin. It’s a kind of story that makes you one more this can’t be the ending not like that . As for sharing it most definitely I love short stories they so compact. The first one is not my taste

Another smash

Cassie Mint writes great short insta-love stories that are believable. There is space for angst, humor, steam and emotions in the short read. It's quick entertaining and keeps me coming back for more. This one's focus is the Chef in a Hotel and the maid who loves his desserts.

This is a set of four short stories. They are not connected in any way, they are all good teasers. Possible fairy tales!
I think I liked them all, but the one about the boxer is my favorite. I will be looking for more books by this author.

Four delicious stories.

They were like four little delicious morsels. The women were sweet the men were extra large and knew what they were doing. These are worth reading over and over again. Great plots. Very entertaining.
