Former enforcer to New York City’s most prominent crime families? Absolutely.
Now successful CEO? Yes.
But a good man?
Not on your life.
There is no room for light or goodness in my carefully ordered days. Going legit means longer hours, memos, and conference calls, but it's worth it to rule my new world. I don’t intend to give even an inch of ground to my competitors. That includes a grueling month-long work schedule---a move that has my second in command enforcing a weekend of mandatory fun. But the kind of fun I enjoy isn’t the kind you mention in polite conversation, or in broad daylight. My weekend of letting go can only be done in one place--The Cairn, New York City’s most exclusive BDSM club. It’s within the walls of The Cairn that I let my urges take control for the precious forty-eight hours I’m allowed.
I might not be a good man, but I am good Dom. A Daddy Dom to be specific. And it’s time to let Daddy out to play.
Come To Daddy is the first installment of The Cairn series and features a dark and sexy encounter between a Daddy Dom and a lonely Little in need of a firm hand, if only for one night. Enjoy this sexy as hell look at what kind of man, Dom, and Daddy, Lawson Sokolov is while he gives his chosen play partner a once-in-a-lifetime encounter. He may not be this Little’s perfect HEA, but he is a perfect Daddy Dom. Lawson is not a man that believes in love, and his novella is not about a forever kind of love but never fear, Lawson will be brought to his knees by a kinky as hell happily-ever-after when he meets his forever Little in Honey, Honey, an utterly dark and romantic novel of love and angst.
Rebel Carter loves love. So much in fact that she decided to write the love stories she desperately wanted to read. A book by Rebel means diverse characters, sexy banter, a real big helping of steamy scenes, and, of course, a whole lotta heart.
Rebel lives in Colorado, makes a mean espresso, and is hell-bent on filling your bookcase with as many romance stories as humanly possible!
Ok this was fückïng good! This is a prequel/prologue to the other 2 books in the series and features the MMC. He’s a daddy dom so in this novella it’s set in a shmex club where he meets a sub. So a lot of what is covered is good communication between the 2, consent, limits and understanding the 2 roles. If you want to learn more about this world then this book would be great for it.
So go into it knowing it won’t have the traditional HEA that your used to. Nothing bad happens but just think of it like one shot hook up novella. It is short too
The goodies Daddy Dom/LG sub Praise Spanking Edging Shmex club
The cover reeled me in---the hot story kept me reading. Lawson is a man with a past who's cleaned up his act and built a legitimate empire all his own. He works hard and when he gets the rare chance to unwind, he chooses to blow off steam at the Cairn Club- a private den of debauchery for New York's elite. Lawson is a praise dom- a Daddy dom who use pleasure and praise to teach unsuspecting but willing "brats" how much pleasure can be gained from submission. He thrives in this role and for one weekend indulges in his darkest fantasies with a girl visiting from out of town. This is a prequel and introduction to the Male heroine- there is no happily ever after or happy for now- but you will end up meeting the girl who just might make that happen---in a set-up to the sequel. Happy reading and highly recommend this book!
This was not only steamy but tender. I want more more I say. If you are looking for a praise kink recommendation look no further Lawson is a Dom/enforcer who takes his job role very seriously and we like to see it.
Heat level: Hot
CW/N: mob activity, money laundering, Dom not following rules
The praise and daddy kink and sex scene were great but “Lemon Drop” is such a distracting nickname and definitely makes you laugh a little and I’m sure it’ll become clear in the full-length book that follows but how exactly are Law and Honey connected?? That epilogue from Honey’s POV seems to come out of left field. I’m guessing Honey was “Lemon Drop” but it also doesn’t sound like that totally so I’m not sure??
Well normally I love this type of book. This 1 left Me hanging Where is the rest of the story Yeah yeah I see great story. Wonderful characters But there's no ending He just walks away It's not a love story. It's 1⁄2 story that needs an ending like Okay Grady had a great weekend with her but where's the rest of the story where is the love story it's gone Normally I give this book a 5 star but This story is sadly lacking it needs an ending
This book/novella has a lot of potential. You get your older workaholic alpha male daddy dom who takes a weekend break before he has to work hard. I feel there were several areas of weakness when it came to him not knowing where his lemon drop was from Florida or Georgia... just a lot of information and some play time. There was a lot of talk and not enough play for me. I wanted to like it, and I did... just wanted more.
2.5 stars 1/3 short books that can be read as standalones (3rd book isn’t out yet). Smut is the plot. This was too short in my opinion. Nothing really happened, the smut wasn’t descriptive at all. The second one is better and it made sense without reading this one.
Spice is good, one scene, but it's a short book so I get it. Says 'alpha male' too much for me, saying it once should have been enough. Saying it all the time rips me out of the story and makes me cringe.
It was a good quick read. Spice was great. Story was good. Would I read it again probably not, I like my spicy books but I like more of a story I guess you can say. I'm so used to alot of action in a book.
Short and sweet, I really enjoyed this book. Law is a business man with a past. His assistant convinces him to relax before his super busy month and he does just that.
I can’t wait to read book 2! There’s something about daddy doms…
Yikes! This read like a bad Wattpad fic. If you end up reading this and you actually want to enjoy it take a shot every time he says "Lemon Drop" if you're drunk enough this will be a great read!
Spoiler Alert ☣️ Lemon Drop counter: exactly 70 😑

So, this is more of an introduction to Low than anything else. It's not really a romance. But, he's got depths and I look forward to seeing more of them in the next book.
This was too short? Like if it was supposed to be a One night Stand it should have ended after they hooked up? Idk spice was good but like a lot was lacking.
This novella was more like a short story. No HEA, one spicy scene. Not enough in this story for me to feel interested in the characters or want to move on to the next book.
Quick read, but the number of typos killed me. Very disappointed. I'll try Honey, Honey because, BookTok, but if that is more of the same I'm gonna have to pass. 🥺
Just no, did not land for me the way I was hoping. Something about the way they used the kink just was doing something a little different than I've read and liked before. So no thank you, I will not be continuing.
This was a good cute novella but a little random compared to the rest of the series. I guess it’s just to establish Law and the Cairn. But it got my hopes up cause I wanted Lemon Drop to come back in the next book.
