Gage didn't know his father. It was just him and his mum growing up. The last place he ever expected to meet the man who helped create him was in prison. When Gage kills his stepfather whilst trying to protect his mother, he meets Holden. His father. Together their relationship becomes something forbidden, taboo and illegal. The question is will their relationship survive the test of prison life? And will they have the chance to live in freedom? This is a very taboo M/M relationship. It has triggering subjects, such as domestic violence, rape and abuse. Do not read this if you are easily offended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

I’m super torn about this one because the bare bones of it are great. The ideas, the plot line, the pacing are all good. What it lacks is any form of editing, if this had been fine tuned it could’ve been a five star read.

The two MC’s have similar backgrounds in which they both end up in jail for a first time crime. Holden participated in a robbery gone bad that ended in murder because he needed to care for his pregnant girlfriend. Gage defended his mom against her drug addled boyfriend and ended up killing him.

The two are further connected because Holden is Gage’s father. Holden has the best of intentions wanting him as his cell mate. His need to protect him is overwhelming, what he did to keep him off the radar of the white supremacist’s leader was nothing short of heart achingly beautiful.

I didn’t see the twist with Kaiser and that was just another fascinating tidbit to this story.

I did find the guards unrealistically friendly, honestly the whole prison sounded great. Like other than the shitty food, sign me up.

It was an entertaining read that I want to give a better rating but I don’t have the conscience to overlook it’s many flaws.

Profoundly beautiful ultra taboo romance

Erotic, incest, fiction at its finest. 10 hours after finishing this and I am still reeling. ‘Forbidden Bound’ had everything I could ever desire in a taboo tale. There was love. There was heat. I’m talking serious spine tingling, full blush inducing, panty melting heat! There was a good plot. Exceptionally good when considering the length of the book. There was even an adorable puppy. I loved this book!

I love me a good taboo romance. I haven’t gotten into Smashwords yet, and it’s so hard to find taboo content. THANKS AMAZON 😒

This was pretty decent. I wish it was a little more fleshed out and there was a little more heat, but overall I enjoyed it!

"This place fucks with our heads and our emotions. There is no taboo in prison”

What the quote and the book name are trying to show is.... it's an MM father-son incest prison romance.
It wasn't bad per se, rather it was SWEET😬 ...and that wasn't what I was expecting from prison and incest tropes.
I have read some of S.L Davies' books before and she can write some reallllly fucked up shit, which I love, so I was hoping Forbidden Bound could give me that too but it didn't.

The story was good admittedly. Gage (who's 18 yrs old) kills his stepfather who was an abusive asshole and used to beat Gage's mum bloody. He gets sent to prison for murder where he meets and gets bunked up with his biological father, Holden. But they are both surprised to find out that they feel something for each other and it's not at all a familial bond and then, the romance starts.

What I didn't love were the character depictions. Individually, Gage and Holden were strong, deep and properly fleshed out characters. However, when it came to the two of them together, it felt superficial.
As if Gage, who was a virgin, was just horny and needed somebody to get him off....so what if it was his father?! Gage had, what I like to call....a foot stomping attitude. He pouted and metaphorically stomped his foot to get what he wanted like a 7 yr old rather than thinking about the consequences of his actions.

On the other hand, Holden was in jail for 18 years and he admitted that no one had touched him during that time. I felt as if Holden's thoughts went kind of like this...... "I need less bluer balls so why not fuck my feminine looking son, ...brings a whole new meaning to kinky and wild". 🤷
It was too insta and too sweet. For me.

But if you see yourself reading a prison incest trope, I think you should give it a try.

People don’t look kindly to this sort of relationship. We know that we aren’t doing anything wrong because we are all consenting adults. Society doesn’t see it the same.

I don’t usually pick out books involving gangs/crime and the setting of this story is in a prison... but it involves a taboo relationship so I absolutely had to read it anyway. And I did enjoy it. I wish it was a bit longer but I still liked it anyway.

Gage is 18 and gets sent to prison for killing his mom’s boyfriend who was beating her up so bad she ended up with brain damage. It was self defense, but he had a shitty court appointed lawyer who advised him to plead guilty. It kind of shocked me that he was sentenced to 15 years in prison when it was self defense, but I’m sure this happens all the time in the real world. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Gage’s father, Holden, has been in prison since he was 18 and never met his son. Gage didn’t know who his dad was so had no idea who Holden was when they ended up in the same cell at the same prison. Holden just wanted to protect him and didn’t end up telling Gage that he was his father for a little while, but eventually did.

They ended up with feelings for each other. And having sexy time in prison without other people finding out is pretty damn difficult, but they managed it a few times and I’m glad they did. 😈😈

The author says this isn’t a romance, but it sort of felt like one to me. There is an HEA and it made me happy for both Gage and Holden. I wish the epilogue was a little longer, maybe an extra sex scene thrown in there or something when they were actually home to get down and dirty and really enjoy it.

For a taboo read, this one was pretty good. Probably around 3.75⭐️ for me.

This was an ok read. It’s definitely a taboo book. Son/father relationship. If that’s a hard no for you. Then I suggest you skip this book.

I like how this story didn’t jump right in to the main characters having sex. There was a story about how they came to be in the situation they are in. Holden made a stupid mistake when he was 18 years old. He wanted to get some extra money to help take care of his pregnant girlfriend. He trusted his girlfriend brother Kaiser. And that was his biggest mistake. Things went south and they both got caught.

Fast forward 18 years and Gage woke up to his mom screaming for him to help her. Gage didn’t really have a normal childhood. Money was always a issue and so was his mom’s husband. He got use to his step dad beating his mom. Until one night... the step dad took it too far and Gage had to step up and defend her.

Holden knew Gage was going to his prison. He asked for him to be in his same cell. He wanted to get to know his son. He was nervous. Because he knew he had a son. He never reached out to establish a relationship. So Gage was truly a stranger to him. Kaiser was also at the same prison. He made life very hard on Gage. He made him feel really uncomfortable.

But Holden did something that I felt so bad about. He wanted to make sure Kaiser wouldn’t mess with Gage anymore. I couldn’t stand Kaiser. He was horrible.

As time went on. Holden got to know Gage. And that’s where you can kinda see it. The lines getting crossed. They both didn’t feel like they were related because Gage never saw Holden as a father figure and Holden never helped raise Gage as his son.

Yes, it was wrong. And they both knew it. They thought about everything before they jumped into something.

The ending was nice. I liked how the truth came out about Holden and that crazy night 18 years ago that got him sent to prison. And I liked how Gage was able to get a better deal for what he did to protect his mom.

I saw that magic word for when I fancy it- ‘taboo’.
But I didn’t particularly enjoy it. Needs editing and the storyline wasn’t what I had hoped for.
Sorry. X

I joined a facebook group that has taken me down a kink/taboo reading hole. This book was recommended in a thread so I decided to check it out. On the plus side, the premise was hot and the story included a few interesting twists. On the con side, the taboo elements were pretty tame and strangely glossed over. The main characters were weirdly blase about the taboos they were crossing. Also, the son, a virgin, was unrealistically unconcerned about losing his virginity and falling in lust with his dad. And finally, the sex scenes--which are a key element that draws readers to this genre--were only briefly summarized. This author has potential, but I would recommend they check out some well-regarded books in this sub-genre (Nicky James' work is a good place to start) to dissect them to better understand why they work so well.

It wasn’t the relationship between Holden and Gage I disliked. It’s just that the book was so...bad. The writing is...not great and really needs some editing. Nothing in the storyline seems likely or even plausible. And while the relationship between Holden and Gage was fine, the characters just did nothing right, there was no real strength in action or deed other than the author telling us they had it. It was all a bit irritating.

Huh

This was not horrible, there was the taboo of a daddy/son relationship but something was off. Like this is not how prisons are run. This is not how court cases are done. Why would there be so much publicity about a poor guy who killed a druggie?

“I want to be forever bound to you.”

A little messed up story but good.

P.S. I was promised “hard and animalistic fucking” in the author’s note and I am disappointed :(

(still hot though)

Taboo, father/son. Holden has been in prison for the last 18 years when he sees the news that his ex girlfriends son had killed her husband and being sent to the same prison he was in serving a 40 year sentence. Gage killed his step father in defense of his mother after he was beating her to death. In shock and not knowing what to do, he pleaded guilty and was to serve 20 years. When getting to prison, Holden is aware that Gage is his son, having known his girlfriend was pregnant when he got arrested. He let's a guard know, and they make arrangements for Gage to be roomed with Holden. After Holden tells Gage they are father/son, Gage admits to not loving him like a normal father/son. They both want each other and don't care that they shouldn't. There is a gang rape in this story so just be aware. The sex isn't graphic or detailed.

This was a pretty fun read actually, for an incest, prison story with a rape scene.... That's sounds a bit contradictory doesn't it. I didn't think as the story progressed and Holden and Gage's relationship changed it became obvious this is not meant to be serious book. Well actually, I think it was meant to be a serious book but it was so far fetched that it ended up just being sort of silly. Don't take this book seriously.

I would probably give this 3 stars for a few different reasons but I'm rounding it up to account for pretty good 'conflict vs we never actually knew each other' reasoning behind their relationship starting and having it all take place in a prison, quite unique.

Interesting Take on The Domino Effect

A leads to B which causes C which sets up the circumstances for D. A bullying hypocrite and a weak woman don't handle a pregnant daughter with love and nearly 20 years later, a very young man unknowingly shares a prison cell with his father.
It's nearly a Greek tragedy but...no everyone in the world is a slimeball.
A surprisingly hopeful story.

I enjoyed this forbidden and taboo novella. Gage is such a sweetheart and got the short end of the stick, his father was never in his life, was sent to prison when his mom was pregnant, she ends up with an abusive drug addict when he was 8, and at 18, the man tried to kill her, so Gage protected her and found himself in prison, where he finds himself meeting his biological father. Holden knows his son is being sent to prison, and has some strings pulled to have him be his cell mate, he goes to great lengths to protect his son, cause while he feels protective and connected to Gage, he doesn’t feel like his dad. Their relationship goes from there, to a taboo and delicious place. There’s some evil men in prison though that will target Gage and by default, Holden. I enjoyed this story but I thought things were wrapped up too easily and prettily. And Kaiser going from the evil guy he was to what he became, didn’t sit right. While there are a few flaws I see with the plot and side characters and not as dark as I was hoping for a prison story, it was enjoyable. I loved Holden and Gage and loved how the story played out.

I was fucked up. It was one thing to be in prison for murder. But to be thinking about fucking my own son. That was too far.🧐
Sounds promising, right? It's not. It's awful. The only realistic part of the book was Gage getting a retrial for his stupid murder conviction.

I give it a 1/5 on the 'cesty scale. The sex scenes were cookie cutter boring. Zero angst. No "dad" "son" thrown around during inappropriate times. Flat characters. Just awful.

I would say skip this one for sure.

This story, leaving aside the taboo of a father/son consensual adult sexual relationship, is rather preposterous beyond my ability to suspend disbelief. Specifically, I'm talking about the depiction of legal procedures in the U.K. When an author is asking us to accept something as rare as a loving, consensual sexual relationship between a father and adult son, the balance of the story needs to be as realistic possible. We don't get that here: this is not the way that modern courts work.

As a lover of everything taboo I have to say that this was a pretty good read, it took me ages to find this book online. I loved this book thw story line the plot thw father and the son falling in love inside the prison. It was just lacking a little more of detail I wish more heat had been added. But I did love reading the story of Holden and Gage

I didn’t mind Holden or Gage but the writing was poor. The story was also so far fetched that it was funny.
