She graduated from the Universities of Southampton and Reading, where she received degrees in Archaeology and Cognitive Evolution (both highly entertaining to take part in, but with the career options of a ground witch’s toe bone.)

There's some interesting world-building here. The town of Willow Tree Falls is inhabited mostly by magical or magic-working beings. Tempest Crypt's family are responsible for maintaining the prison for demons that's housed in the town cemetery. Tempest herself is a skilled demon hunter, frequently leaving town to track and trap demons at large. She does her work well, in spite of sharing her body with a rogue demon who occasionally tries to take control and is determined to kill Tempest's sister.
As if that weren't enough for one witch to handle, she also is one of the few responsible, thinking adults in town, and generally winds up solving mysteries in spite of the town police force (entirely made up of big, strong, beautiful, and extremely stupid angels).
A fun read, as long as you don't get too hung up on the details.
Tempest Crypt (perfect name) and her witch family guard the cemetery in Willow Tree Falls. But Tempest, who harbors a demon inside her, is also a demon hunter and crime solving woman. These books are fun and each murder happens early I’m each book, so most is how the murderers are found. The myriad suspects, along with family and town happenings give each book interesting turns of events. The final happenings and discovery of each murderer is surprising and only happens in strange and unusual circumstances. Well worth the reads.
This series was great. I have read a whole other series by this author and what she writes in all her series are good stories that keep you wanting to read the next book and the book after that she leaves the ending making you wanting more and I personally like that in an author. Her characters are very smart intelligent and wiggles who is tempest crypt hellhound he keeps the laughter going through all the hard work of finding clues to the murders they are trying to solve . Great series on to 6-10 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Did not finish. Read the first book. An engaging heroine, rather dumb and frustrating to read about. The writing is confused and strictly in the POV of the heroine. The plot is sluggish; the heroine struggles to understand what’s happening around her and doesn’t do obvious things to get to the heart of the mystery, and deal with her many issues, mostly self inflicted. No subtlety to the themes. The world building is weak - inconsistent.
I love, love, love this series. The characters are quirky fun. The whole talking dog thing is not too weird to think it's lame. The mysteries keep you guessing. The story line keeps you involved enough that you can't wait to start the next one. I have to go now so I can purchase the book 6. Happy reading!
These books have kept me reading and not getting anything else done for days now! They are so engaging and I never see the killer in the ending! I haven’t figured one out yet. That’s why I love this author I cannot predict the ending in 10 chapters. Such a wonderful author. Highly recommend all their books.
I liked the characters, especially Frank &Wiggles. Tempest is a strong character who believes in right & wrong. She finds & captures demons for angels. Angels who are as thick as mud. Oh boy. Did not like not being told how Tempest & Frank ended up together properly.
Unfortunately, this collection of books follows the all-too-common pattern of many books sold in a multi-book set. Book #1 is pretty good, and then all the rest of the series are just rinse-and-repeat versions of #1: change a few names, add a different villain, change the title, and call it book #2, book #3, etc...
Absolutely fantastic, this paranormal mystery was entertaining, enjoyable and interesting. The characters were awesome and the stirs intriguing. I cannot wait to read more about Tempest and he friends and family. Excellent!!!
I loved these characters . All of the troubles they get into make for a story with a lot of twists and excitement . It's fun to try and guess what's next.I'd recommend Anyone that likes stories about magic read this author. She keeps your interest all the time.
There are cute little cozy mysteries, and are completely fine. They are not super original or ground breaking, but that is not what these kind of books are meant to be. Nice easy read overall.
The first book started off amazing and kept my attention the whole way through. The intense feelings between characters and demons and half demons and everything so magical! I love it so much! Cannot wait to read the rest!
This book was a fun and exciting read. A magical town, witches, demons and even a hellhound. There were interesting characters and a murder to solve. I am excited to see what happens next.
Very entertaining. O'Connor has an interesting premise with a generational family of witches who guard the crypts while our protagonist tries to lead a more normal life while capturing demons and solving murders. Jump right in!
This is a fun book series. Each book is a different mystery. There's danger and scares aplenty as well as a healthy dose of humour. The characters are engaging and fun. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.
Really liked it in the beginning , but by the end of the series, I already knew the ending. Got monotonous. Read the first book or two, then stop. Maybe come back for the next two at a later date.
This is a good series, Tempest and her family deal with demons, she helps solve the murder mysteries. Definitely some twists and the characters are what keeps you reading. Some laugh out loud moments with the hellhound too!
It was a fun series. I got it for free and I dont think I'd pay to read the rest of the series after mb the second book bc the format of all of them is basically identical give or take in all 5 books. But i really enjoyed the hell hound he was really cute and funny and he's mostly why i stayed.
I really loved this series. It’s exciting and very interesting. I’ve read a lot of paranormal stories, but this is unique in every way. You will love it.
A great story with brilliant characters. Wiggles is my favourite. I loved the way the characters evolved over the five books. I'm looking forward to the next book.
