This book adds to a much needed body of literature about what PLC can look like in a small school. It does offer some practical solutions. However, it also offers narrow viewpoints around why teachers might leave a school in the midst of change. Toward the end, I felt it also went off the rails and either began focusing solely on high school level PLC or just giving generic advice for PLC you might find in any book, rather than one tailored to small schools. It completely missed some obstacles small schools face in doing so.
