"Postcards from Breakfast" serves up a fresh, unique perspective on storytelling. The flavor details are so vibrant as the author describes coffees and teas, and the emotions are so heartfelt as the author portrays scenes of reflective moments, letters, coping with change, and the satisfying ritual of enjoying a favorite beverage. The illustrations complemented the lyrics in a beautiful way with actions and colors depicting the emotions and energy of the poems.

Words that moved me in so many ways

I found myself chuckling on one page and tearing up a few pages further. So many poems spoke to me, helping reflect emotions I could not verbalize on my own.

The artwork is so fresh! I hunted for images to see what would surprise me next. Each piece felt linked to the words while independently offering so much more.
