Falls Ende #4

Falls Ende - Quartus: Justice falters, Loyalties Fracture, and the Truth Becomes more Dangerous than Silence

Rate this book
The monastic order of fighting monks, the Knights Templar, was home to Sir Odo Brus, and he'd taken strict vows of obedience, chastity, and poverty. His brother knights were like family, and without thought, he'd sacrafice his life for them. The forbidding deserts of the holy lands were where he selflessly and bravely fought the Saracen oppressors, and then, in a single, brief moment, everything changed.
Forced into questioning his Templar vows, Odo had to choose; should he forsake what is closest to his heart? Can he overcome his fears and begin a new life, an unfamiliar life, and a life with new challenges and commitment?
As Odo Brus learned, no man should ever experience such misery and heartache. His pain and despair are crippling, but one severe option is left open to him. Can he end it all and be reunited with those he loves? Through his lonely and painful ordeal, he is driven by resolve and a newfound determination; baby Odo must survive. Life must go on, and he will protect his son at any cost. Even if he is abused, beaten and humiliated, he will withstand the torment and endure.
Falls Ende - Quartus is a tale of hope and promise, an emotional journey through the turbulent life of Odo Brus. It's an unforgettable story that will keep you awake and reading long into the night.

Paul W. Feenstra is a New Zealand historical fiction novelist whose character-driven stories are meticulously researched and deeply human — creating a dramatic and entertaining window into our complex past.

Born in Wellington to Dutch immigrants, Paul relocated to the United States in 1985 and spent over 27 years working in Hollywood as a multiple Emmy-nominated television post-production professional. Recognised for his contribution to his country, Paul was honoured by the New Zealand government and invited to join the prestigious World Class New Zealand network. He has been sought after as a public speaker by educational institutions, professional networks and organisations across New Zealand, sharing his unique experiences from a remarkable career.

His sixteen novels span medieval England, colonial New Zealand, Victorian London and WWI espionage. The Falls Ende series — seven books of medieval historical fiction set in 12th century England — is his most ambitious work. It is a completed series, from Primus through to Outlaw. The Leonard Hardy mysteries explore Victorian-era colonial Wellington. The Moana Rangitira novels examine early colonial New Zealand and its impact on native Māori. The Austin Willems series begins with A Gentleman at Heart in Victorian London, with a second novel, A Dangerous Game, currently in development.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys photography and wrestling bears.
