Nirvana Made Easy: Obtaining Enlightenment Through Simple Physics...And Other Stories

Rate this book
For thousands of years Buddhist sages have been preaching various paths to Nirvana. In this book, a coherent view of enlightenment is described using simple physics as the starting point. Modern science gives us a relatively accurate model of reality. We can use this to our advantage. Instead of mystery, a simple picture of the universe, and our place in it, becomes obvious.

I liked how the author mixed interesting travel tales with the philosophy.
Lots of physics that underlies his philosophy; brilliant if sometimes a bit hard to follow.
A must-read if you think science should form the basis for contemporary philosophy.
And if you like funny/interesting travel tales including hitchhiking in Australia and northern Ontario, Canada.
