Small Town Boy | Shards of a Life : pure fiction

Rate this book
Dylan Hayes takes a walk on his favorite trail into the Three Sisters wilderness, carrying with him 80 years of life experience, a vial of lethal pills, a diagnosis and memories of times that have slipped away.

He remembers life on the farm and his life-long preoccupation with those Meti and Blackfeet, Cree, Cherokee, Assiniboine, Sioux and Crows who went before his family homesteaded in Montana. He carries his childhood kinship with dinosaurs.

He encounters armed radical militants who claim the wilderness is theirs and the lawman hunting them into the bush.

His life takes new turns as he plows old ground.
