A Famous Mystery Writer... A Crazed Fan... A Murderous New Year...
It's almost New Year's Eve, and Jaycee, Jax, and Gramps are getting ready for the big party at Gone with the Whiskey. Too bad a crazed killer is on the loose! When author Andrew Tipton moved to Traveler's Bay to be closer to Jaycee's mom, Elizabeth, no one expected what happened next--a murder at Andrew's new house. And the craziest part...the killer left a love note addressed to Andrew. With a nod of approval from Gramps, Jaycee and the girls jump in to help find the murderer, and with all Andrew's fans hitting Traveler's Bay to hear him read from his latest book, there are plenty of suspects on the list. Even more disturbing, it's only a matter of time before the killer tries to come after Jaycee's mom. Can Jaycee find the killer before her mom is next? Or will this New Year's Eve be Elizabeth's last?

with Andrew's renovations going on at the mansion he's turning into a retreat. Jaycee and her friends go to drop off some artwork that Andrew had purchased.
They wind up finding a trespasser and the body of the electrician who had been doing the work.
Jacee, Jax, and the gang are once again on the case, much to Mike's chagrin.
Another fun story with developed characters and a good bit of humor.
Murder in the New Year is Book 9 in the Sullivan Sisters Mystery Book Series. This book reads as a standalone, but I highly recommend starting with the first Book in the Series, Murder on the Vine, I read that book and was so HOOKED on this series!
I love the characters in this book, Jayce who owns a bar/bookstore is such a well-developed character. Along with her sister Jax who is her pastry chef. Detective Mike , Gramps , mom and LET US NOT EVER forget Tillie. OH my gosh this book is character driven and is so amazing.
There is a big party at Gone with the Whiskey and a killer on the loose with a famous author moving into town the suspects are plenty.
This was such a fun and well written mystery, kept me guessing and LAUGHING until the very end.
This series is great. Each book is a fast read and you don't get mired down in too much description, but you definitely know what's going on around everyone. Although there are numerous murders and attacks, loads of suspects, some romance, lots of laughs, and no sex. Each book has a few new quirky characters added to the old ones. The author really knows how to hold your interest. Highly recommend.
A bit of a thriller as Andrew has a stalker and there are way too many suspects to feel comfortable around anyone. Niles is a wonderful hilarious new addition to the town and acts as Jaycee's sidekick in this quest to find the stalker/killer before they kill Mom to get her out of Andrew's life. Fast-paced and hard to put down. Such a fun series and can't wait for the next adventure.
I love this series! I LOVE Niles!!! Quick, easy read with characters so well developed you feel like they are REAL people that you know! This story wil make you laugh out loud, hold your breath with anticipation and then have you in tears.
I love this series. There is going to be a June wedding so there has to be another book. Jaycee will have to stumble on a dead body on her wedding day. Please please keep writing Ms St James
Jenna St James has done it again!! This is another wild ride for Jaycee and her “gang” and we get a new addition to the bunch that is definitely a keeper!! You won’t be able to put it down!
That was so good, lots of excitement, twists and turns and plenty of suspects. I so enjoyed the book. The characters are old friends now and the town feels like home. I can’t say enough good things, you’ll just have to read it!
Another great story. I had it narrowed down to two suspects but was surprised in the end when the killer was revealed. Looking forward to the next book.
