In Pihanjin, half a year into her marriage, Mu Fulan wakes up from a bad dream, and decides to return to her family. When her husband, Xie Changgeng, returns home to find his wife gone, he makes a point to go and follow her. Thus begins a long journey of fixing the mistakes made in their past lives.
The farther I got into this book, the less I thought I'd like it, but Peng Lai Ke can go ahead and count me as a fan. This book was a journey of remorse, and I feel like it's a necessary addition to the Rebirth trope. I thought that it really asked and answered the question of "how much can you blame the current versions of the people from your past life if they haven't even had the chance to think about how to hurt you?"
If you like Rebirth, Remorse, and Atonement mixed in with what is essentially a Marriage in Crisis, this book is definitely for you.
