This is a book for every child, every teen, every grown up, who has had to face an illness of any sort. It is a book especially for people who have never been sick.
The illustrations and writing drew me in. I saw and felt the struggles of an ill kid and felt the warmth of the unknown heroes who healed and cheered her on. It takes an army to fight a beast and this book shows it.
I was touched by the beautiful writing, the highs and the lows and it made me cry. It is a book filled with powerful emotions- success, courage, fear, loss, hope and most importantly, love. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. For every child in some shape or form.
The illustrations brought the words to life. In WARRIOR, every patient IS a warrior!
Love this book! I hope it ends up in the hands of every hospital.
