In this day and hour, fasting is more important than ever before, yet it is a weapon in our arsenal that is often overlooked. Josh Herring brings his experience and insight to this critical subject, explaining the significance of fasting and its impact on advancing God’s Kingdom.
I have watched Josh Herring on youtube preaching and was supposed to hear him personally this last week. He didn't come. I had begun a fast and wondered if he had written any books so I looked. This is a book about fasting that everyone who has not reached their destiny in fasting is meant! It is life-changing, focused, and determined to reach the broken world we live. This book will prove to send more men and women to the field than any other!
I hope one day I can thank the author personally for giving us these answers and motivation.
Bro. Herring writes in a way that encapsulates the words of the apostle Peter when he wrote about Paul “…in which some things are hard to be understood…” This book is thick, thick with spiritual knowledge. It will both empower and convict. Be prepared to be challenged and offended at the same time. This book is more than just another book on fasting, it is a guide to fasting. All of the How, who, why and the when are wrapped in this great little 158 page book. Highly recommended if you want to get a deeper insight into fasting and take your walk with God to another level.
Physical book. I borrowed this book from a friend after she recommended it in 2023.. I started this book in Feb and marinated on it throughout the year— fasting is a big deal. I wanted the words and the Lord to work on me but to not just consume the book and move on. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to go deeper in their faith, understanding and/or is desperately needing change to occur in their life/family. Fasting and prayer breaks strongholds — it’s a spiritual battle. I will be buying this book.
This book is an incredible book on fasting that I hope to read over and over again. I am inspired to increase my fasting so I can fast forward.
Favorite quote: Someone once said that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different outcome. I would like to add the definition of spiritual insanity: it is to do nothing every day to pursue God and his glory, yet expect to have more of God and his glory. - Josh Herring
If you are struggling with fasting, need an answer from God, or want to know how to go deeper in God and stay there in a place of continual hunger… this book is for you! It’s hard to put into words how much of a blessing this book is for the one seeking to start fasting, or the one that wants to fast longer.
Quick, to the point, encouraging and relevatory. Many lessons and preaching points if you're looking to teach from this as an outline. If you don't, this is a must own book.
I’ve been in church all my life but the principles learned in this book really helped me understand so much more clearly. This book invigorated my desire to fast more than ever before. I highly recommend this book.
This book put a new fire in my spirit to go further than I’ve been before in my quest to fast! You cannot read this book and not be ready and willing to have a spiritual life of consecration. I’m ready to pray hard, dream big, and fast long!
Min. Herring layout out such a wonderful framework on fasting. You will be encouraged to fast as you read this book. He adds the practical aspect of fasting. I like how he correlates certain events to fast, such as the runway and the mountain. Excellently written.
Wonderful book on fasting. Practical spiritual insights on how fasting moves individuals into supernatural territory. The author delivers the message in an easy to read format, and it doesn't complicate the topic.
I love Josh Herring!!! I love him and i think he’s a man of God… Unfortunately i read this when i was ignorant and didn’t know about “Fasting” and why we fast- Unfortunately there are some unbiblical principle. Like “Fasting for a miracle” Unfortunately i don’t see that in my bible. and i don’t recommend reading it on the stance of fasting. But it’s a great read as i love him and his teachings.
