The revenant war is officially here.
Armed with a list of reapers who have turned to the dark side, the Grimlocks are at a crossroads. Izzy Sage knows that they’ve barely scratched the surface on the evil that’s pervading their world but she’s unsure where to look. Then the problem comes looking for them.

Meh. Bored with this series. I'm not going to continue. Good because I don't have the other books anyway.

as always the most entertaining and action packed urban fantasy/paranormal cozy mystery series
As always this is one of the most entertaining and action packed paranormal cozy mystery/urban fantasy adventure series. A spectacular cast of characters and an extraordinary storyline. Izzy is the keeper/manager of the death gate in the Detroit area. She has half river and half which. Along with her team they guard and control the gate where the souls of those who have passed on our shuttled to the other side. Reapers go out and collect the souls those who pass on and then transfer them to the gate complex where they are sent across. Izzy also happens to be the girlfriend of a particular Grimlock brother named Braden who is part of the Grimlock family of reapers. This series is an expansion of the original Grimlock series and now includes many other characters including the deaf crew and more repair families and others. Once again the revenant creatures are causing problems and they have another new issue to deal with. No spoilers but once again this is action packed entertaining and a few surprises thrown in as well. Read on and enjoy the adventure.

Heading towards the final battle.
With each book Izzy and the Grimlocks learn a little bit.more about who their enemies really are. This book starts with a car crash which Izzy witnesses, she also notices that one one of the people involved in he accident died but no reaper turns up to collect the soul. Cormack promises to look into it and the answer is pretty dire. Turns out the souls of the deceased are returning to their bodies and reanimating. The Zombie apocalypse has arrived in Michigan. The NonZombie Zombies don't seem to be a danger to anyone at first but then start to focus on Izzy, the Gate and Luna. Izzy and the Grimlocks have no idea.what is behind this catastrophe and have no idea how to deal with it. One thing they do know for sure this.situation will get out of hand quickly if they don't manage to figure it out.

a jam-packed adventure of epic proportions
I’m always going to think Nombie now!!!
Izzy and the Grimlock’s are back in action, along with Luna and Zoe for added comic relief…
Will the revenant threat ever end or is there much more to it?…
Izzy is feeling overwhelmed and drained all at once, luckily she has a huge family at her back now, her grandfather, aunt Max, the Grimlocks, Luna and her tribe, Zoe, Aric, Sami, Oliver, Brett and Paris even Claire and Colin when they are not fornicating in bushes…
Bob and Bub both make appearances and little Lily is growing in leaps and bounds, that kid is going to be interesting she has so much of her mother in her but with empathic abilities lol
There was so much going on in this story it was fast-paced and action galore I can’t wait for the next book it’s going to tie everything up in spectacular fashion.
I’m always going to think Nombie now!!!

Reliable action and characters
I enjoyed the promise of the nombies. However, by book 8, you would think we would know that Aisling had a big mouth, always wanted to be with her brothers on the action, Braden seems almost useless, and whiny and they didn’t develop his character to be any better. And Izzy says constantly I can take care of myself, but it’s clear that she can’t. I read book 9 because I’m in it, but I wish the character development had progressed a little bit more. Oh! And Maya. Poor girl never got to show up anywhere even though she was a nurse. Everyone everybody else was told to stay put no one called her at the hospital. No one worried about her coming home too many loose ends.

Always a fun time with the Grimlocks.
I’m enjoying this series, but if I’m honest, I’m just ready for it to be over. Izzy finds out about the night her parents died, and a character, or two, from previous books make another timely appearance. A nicely paced story with some fun action sprinkled throughout. More is unveiled about the ultimate goal of the revenants, and there are also hints that Izzy hasn’t even begun to access all the power she has. The hook for the next (and hopefully final book) has me excited for the final battle, so I’m going to binge read the series when the final book comes out so it’s all fresh in my mind.

My new favorite in this series
1st I can't wait for next one . I love cross over ones and Zoe Luna Bob and my favorites creature it hard n
Doing review with no spoilers makes brief but important appearance . but great twist to remnant storyline new enemies . but next book hopefully Sammi will be there to fight with grimlocks be great if aunt Tillie would make appearance and can imagine trouble her and grimlocks could get into . lol no crossover with them yet . seriously I read all but one of her series this is my favorite series , then any with aunt Tillie or Zoey and her family . plus I hoping Jerry wedding is in Next book .

Bored out of my mind at the 49% point
This is book 8 and I have really enjoyed the previous 7 but this one is so tedious I was using it to help me fall asleep. When the Grimloch family, including Aunt Maxine and Jacob, FINALLY see some action in the cemetery with the zombies who are not zombies, only Luna and our Bruja heroine do some fighting with magic..no one else seems to do anything and it’s over in two minutes. I have no idea why Aunt Maxine gets dragged along, she never does anything. TERRIBLE action. The entire first half is centered around Lily the baby and sibling squabbling. The author has lost her Mojo, I was bored crazy and had to quit.

A step closer to..
.. unraveling the truth.
When Detroit is inundated with "nombies", non-zombie zombies, and the reapers are unable to collect souls Izzy and the Grimlocks are hard pressed to find a way to fix it.
With Luna and the cathedral coming under attack and Belle Island being held by a hoard of nombies it's all hands on deck to eradicate the distraction and find out what is going on behind the scenes with the revenants.
Curnunos brings Zoe Lake Winters to help win the battle but as usual they only have half a tale to work from. But will it be enough to stop the nombies and revenants from taking the gate? And how can they stop it when new gates keep appearing?

The Storm Breaks
I've been looking forward to this book so much and it does not disappoint. Although I wanted to learn Izzy's back story, there was also the hope that this wasn't the final final Death Gate adventure. There's so much action in this story, so many different threads and reappearances of beloved ones. Plus a few new people that add a frisson of excitement to the building tension. So if you want to know what happened on that fateful day in Belle Isle that started all the Izzy Sage adventures, then read this book. If you haven't read the preceding ones, you really should as each story has its own nuances and thrills building to this battle.

I seriously hope this series NEVER ends!
This was by far my absolute favorite in this series! Sometimes there's a bit much filler talk and there was none of that. It was all exciting, snark, and Grimlock greatness. I read anywhere from 3-5 books a week and this series is the one I get the most excited and antsy waiting for. The combo of characters and humor is amazing. Honestly its hard not to get addicted to any of Amanda's series. Im a sucker for good solid snark!

Awesome read.
Love loved this book. My 1st favorite character of Ms. Less is back about a third from the ending. And from that point on the book becomes funnier, more sarcastic and action packed. This book was a page turner and I want more cross over stories with the "greatest mage in the world" joining in the on the action. The Grimlocks and Izzy on their own are hysterical & sarcastic add in Luna and it even gets more everything but the mage is the cherry on top.

Piling it on
I love it when other characters from the Magical Michigan universe come together, but as the Chaos began to spread I couldn't help but wonder if it has spread to Hemlock Cove, and what Bay would think of the not-zombies. Or Scout. And I thought I Izzy had magically translated The Book in the last episode. Also the tension waiting for Jerry's wedding is almost worse than waiting for the next undead battle.

anything with zoey
I will read anything with zoey in it she is by far my favorite character right along with aisling. I honestly wish zoeys story was still active. I could read about their family 24/7. That said I love the grimlocks love the family love the addition of Luna but the story line on this one kind of dragged on. I would like a little more maya info it’s about time she is dragged into the shenanigans

Wow! Great Book!
I love this reading this series, the characters are fun and the story lines are great. This latest book gives us more information about what happened all those years ago with the original gate accident. Its a fast moving book and I didn't want to put it down. Can't wait to read the next in this series.

Happy faces all around! 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Love the whole Grimlock's death gate crew. They keep laughter alive from beginning to end. Crossovers are the greatest! I was so sad when the Grimlock series ended. I found the Death Gate series and was happy. I get attached to the characters and never want them to end. I am hoping the end isn't close.

need next book asap
I so love these books but I need next book! I seen review there was a bad statement I call bs I read entire book in 4 hours lived every bit of it. Amanda let that shit slide right off your brain and keep writing I love your books I’m on my 4th series and I read a book a day and I won’t stop til I’ve read them all! Thank you

Oh so good!
The only bad part is that we must wait for Book 9 to learn what happens next!

I'm waiting to read about Jerry's and Aiden's wedding. And then the proposal of Braden to Izzy. Should make great reading. The fight goes on, Zoe is back helping all. I really liked it when Izzy told Zoe that she wanted to be just like her when she grew up. Need to find out more about Luna. When will Izzy finally figure out all the power she is supposed to have.

Great story
Izzy and Brandon and all the Grimlocks Are great. Pan the new thread is interesting. Bob had better come back. Help this story goes on until little Lilian grows up. can't wait to see what she can do. Can't wait for Christmas and New Year's that should be interesting. As I said before Amanda M Lee Is an amazing storyteller and writer.

Exciting
Another great story for Izzy. The Grimlocks some other friends are getting to who the real target is in the problems with revants. The plot and subplots move quickly and the humor keeps the story from getting too intense. A great series! I can't wait for the next book.

Awesome, as always
My only problem with this book is that it ended.
So much to love about it, I don't know where to start. Izzy rocks. Enjoy! I know I did. Always fun to get deeper into the Grimlock history.

Whoa!
What a battle! It’s always fun to hear more about Izzy and the Grimlocks but when you throw in a Mage and Bob it’s a party. This is a wonderful continuation of Izzy and Braden’s story. I can’t wait till the next book.

the Best
I freaking love this book. It was non-stop action from the first page to the last. The only wish I have would be for Zoe to make Brett And Oliver able to walk In the sunlight like Rafael.

Amanda M Lee is amazing! Only the Evil is down right one of the best books I've read this year.

This is one of my favorite series by Amanda M Lee. The characters are my favorite- the Grimlocks are awesome- Lizzie is fabulous. If I could pick a book to be in- this is it… can’t wait for the proposal.

Great story!
This is a really good book by a very talented writer. The storyline kept me on my toes. I can't wait for the next book about Izzy's adventures by my number one favorite author. Ms. Lee is a very good and original storyteller! You won't be disappointed at all.
