The Hospital is the third installment of The Advocate, and definitely my favourite of the series so far.

In this installment we ventured through the doors of the Adrenna Psychiatric Hospital with DI Swanson in his search for the devil.

I'm loving this series, and The Advocate has TV series written all over it!

A gripping, fast paced psychological thriller that's atmospheric, chilling and nail bitingly suspenseful.

I've literally binged them all over several days as the storyline is so compelling.

I can't wait to see what happens next for DI Swanson.

Many thanks to the author for my gifted copy.

Thank you to Ashley Beegan for the ARC of this book!

The third in The Advocate Series, DI Swanson investigates Adrenna Psychiatric Hospital after Summer Thomas, an advocate at the hospital, is attacked and fighting for her life after coming face to face with the devil. DI Swanson now has to figure out quickly who is behind the attack and what is going on at the hospital so that no one else meets the same fate. DI Swanson is also met with his own health issues, one that could cost him his life. Will he be able to figure out what is going on at the hospital before it’s too late?

This was an enjoyable, fast, easy read. It has everything that you want from a book – it was creepy, thrilling, and shocking. The chapters from the Servant’s point of view were the creepiest. And while I did figure out somewhat of what was happening about 3/4s of the way in, it didn’t ruin the enjoyability of the book as there was still so many more shocks and twists that I didn’t see coming.

I would absolutely see this evolve to a Netflix or HBO Max show. I think it would be so suspenseful and a joy to watch. I can’t wait for the next book in The Advocate series.

Make sure you read the first two books, and then pre-order this one today!

Great series! A definite must read!

I have read the past three books in this series so far back to back and I’m loving every second of them. They definitely keep you on your toes with lots of twists and turns.
I also love the relationships between characters they become very real very quickly! All I would say is you have to start from book 1 otherwise the rest won’t make sense but I definite must read for any suspense or horror fan!
And with that I’m off to start the next book in the series!

Solid, creepy, murder mystery.

This is the third book of The Advocate Series. It came across my Facebook feed in an ad. It is feasible to read it as a stand alone.

I finished it in an evening. It was an enjoyable way to pass the hours while battling with insomnia.

The characters are engaging. There are quite a few story twists without plot holes. If you enjoy murder, mystery and mayhem in spooky asylums, definitely read this title.

The Hospital by Ashley Beegan is an absolutely gripping psychological thriller! From start to finish, the suspense had me hooked, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the ending completely surprised me. The characters are engaging, and the plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat. If you’re looking for a thrilling read, I highly recommend this one! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 👹

Honestly not great. Too many characters with too many side stories and little to no development. The servant was predictable and the one potential twist in the story (“the devil”) was super rushed and underwhelming. I didn’t really feel invested in any of the characters or storylines and felt like the whole book was more about reminding Swanson he had a brain tumor than anything.

This is the 3rd book in The Advocate series and it’s a good psychological thriller with suspense by the bucket loads. Although it could be read as a stand-alone I would definitely recommend reading the previous books by way of background to the characters. Summer Thomas is The Advocate and has a pivotal role in this story, although much less ‘page time’ than in the previous books. Written from the POV of Summer, Swanson and The Servant this had all the trademarks of a horror story, I couldn’t work out if the Devil was a person or an entity!

Briefly, after Summer is attacked by ‘The Devil’ when visiting the Adrenna Psychiatric Hospital DI Swanson rushes to see her and admits to himself his burgeoning feelings for her. He is convinced that something strange is going on at Adrenna and when the body of a nurse is found he determines to investigate despite all the obstacles the staff throw his way. Can he find out just what is going on and safeguard Summer?

This is a good, fast paced, easy read that I devoured in one sitting. More of a police procedural side to it than in the prior books and full of twists and turns; I didn’t see most of the reveals coming. It’s very creepy and quite scary in places and hard to know who to trust. I enjoyed the read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The third in The Advocate series & what a fabulous psychological thriller it is. This could be read as a standalone but, in this instance, I would recommend reading the previous books to gain a greater understanding of the main characters. Each chapter is from a different POV either Summer, Swanson or The Servant & the author’s writing style draws you in through show not tell & I’ve got a very vivid imagination!

Summer is an advocate in training &, whilst visiting the Adrenna Psychiatric Hospital, is viciously attacked. At this point, DI Swanson comes to the self-realisation that he has feelings for her & believes she is still in danger.

Short chapters make this an easy, pacy read. Plenty of nods to the horror genre without going overboard & yet keeping within a police procedural plot too. My imagination has much to answer for & there are plenty of shocking reveals.
A brilliant read, highly recommended & I can’t wait for book 4.

Following DI Swanson as he investigates Adrenna Psychiatric Hospital, this was by far my favorite book in the series. I enjoyed the suspense and different twists. The author does a good job with build up, while also keeping the pace quick and entertaining. I have such a soft spot for Swanson, so the blurb had me a little worried.

Through each chapter, I was trying to figure who the devil was, or if it was the actual devil himself. I would think I had it figured out, and then something else would happen to make me question what I thought I knew.

I would have liked to hear more from The Servant at the end. His pov was always interesting. And I'd love to know more about what happened with Astrid. But that ending! I've been waiting since the last book for that to finally happen!

If you like a good psychological thriller, I definitely recommend this series!

I didn’t realize this is a series so this is the first book that I started with there I didn’t get much of the characters’ background and development but I got the jest of what was
going was on between them. I took that into consideration so my rating is not based on that but based on the mystery itself.

I feel like it didn’t make a whole lot of sense nor did it really draw me in or make me care or react in anyway. The writing was in the POV of three characters, summer, Swanson, and the servant and neither of them pulled you in and made you hope for more info. Not until the end where the answers are suppose to be given but it just leads to more questions.

I don’t think based off of this book, that I will continue reading this series. Maybe down the line I’ll try from book one, but as of right now I have a long list of other books I leak my interest more.

The Hospital is the 3rd book in Beegan’s Advocate series. In this story DI Swanson is investigating the stabbing of Summer Thomas at Adrenna Psychiatric Hospital, a facility that’s had its fair share of unsolved killings and unexplained tragedies. Full of twists and turns, this one might be my favorite in the series, although all of them are great thriller reads! We get to know a more personal side of Swanson and a look into what’s coming next for both Swanson and Summer. All 3 of these books are quick suspenseful stories that draw you in and keep you guessing!

A wonderful thriller about deaths in a hospital. Filled with twists and turns and surprises. Summer Thomas encountered the devil and now is in a battle to save her life. DI Swanson investigates the happenings at the hospital but not before becoming in his own life saving situation. This is the first book I have read by Ashley Beegan, but not the last.

Just Ok. Had trouble keeping the characters straight, as in which ones were real and which weren't. Fast read, I read it in a day.
