... but my folks will lose their dream house if I don’t pay them back the money they lent me.
I might have had a chance if I had gotten the dream job I’d interned for. Then my roommates threatened to move out, and I got fired from my backup job.
Everything I’ve worked for is screwed, and I’m going to ruin my parents’ dream. So I took the deal, and pretended to be his fake fiancee . Now I’m living a lie — many lies. The third lie is the most troublesome because the only thing that could make my wrecked life worse is falling for a a man like Damien Bronson. I’ve made that mistake before, and I won’t make it again. I've learned my lesson, right?

I'm Tina Gabor, and it’s so much fun getting to write the books I love reading. Gorgeous men and fierce, feisty, and funny women are my jam.
And since there’s nothing like a love story with a dash of sun and fun ...
I set most of my in Southern California and Florida. I grew up in South Florida, and now I live in Southern California with my fiancee and a stray cat we named Fred.
OK so my main problem with this book is i didn't really like either of the main characters.
Damian is so arrogant, so full of himself and the way he speaks about women is so wrong and he never really changes or grows. He expects everyone to change for him.
McKenzie is so annoying. All she does is complain and shes kind of full of herself too. She gets assaulted twice and she does report it to HR but she kind of blows it off like it happens cos she is so awesome.
They meet in a club. He sees her and because she is wearing a tiara (yes a tiara) he calls her My Queen. Then he calls her that throughout the book. He is calling her that in the same thought as he only wants to bang her once. Now this one night is 40% of the book and honestly nothing happens. He basically guilt's her into giving him a kiss at the end of the night.
The agree to fake date which is usually my favourite troupe but this was not done well. He is trying to buy some stores from a guy who values family and she needs money to pay back her parents who need the money to buy their dream house so they make a deal. Fake engaged until he signs the deal and he will give her the money she needs. They just have to go on a cruise and impress the guy and his wife.
There's some stuff that happens that never go anywhere. She hears him say hes not really attracted to her but she doesn't confront him and its not mentioned again. Her ex tricks her into meeting him and Damian gets really mad and jealous but then nothing really happens with that.
So they go on the cruise and they mention that the haven't known each other a week yet. Which is crazy because they say they love each other on the cruise. He has thought about having sex with her a lot but he says hes glad they waited because now he loves her. They finally have sex and agree to keep seeing each other once the deal is done and it not be fake anymore.
He basically then expects her to drop everything to move to his hometown. She also gets pissed because he tells his father the truth but lied to her parents. A bunch of stuff happens and she owes even more money to people as well as her apartment burning down and her ex offering her a job that she doesn't really trust. She breaks down and tells the woman she is supposed to be impressing the truth so Damian gets pissed that she ruined the deal for him and they break up. All in a week!!
He does try to say he will help her but shes sees is as him controlling her.
So they are apart for a few month and she finally sorts her life out. She move in with her parents and tries to get her career of the ground while he mopes basically.
Then we go back to the party for Lauren in the first book (totally forgot these books were related) and they decide to try again and bam-epilogue.
For a book that is nearly 400 pages the time line should have been longer. The first book was over 3 days and this is only a week. There is no build up to make me believe that they really fall in love so fast.
There is some side stories that we didn't need and her roommates were pointless. I didn't dislike this story but there wasn't enough content.
"The Billionaire's Faux Fiancee" by Tina Gabor is the second book of the Bronson Billionaire Romance series. The timeline partially overlaps with the events of the first book, but it works well as a standalone.
Two years after quitting the music business to get her life together, Mackenzie Harper believes that all of her hard work is about to pay off. She's on the verge of being hired as the assistant band director for a local high school when she learns that the position has been eliminated due to budget cuts. The timing couldn't be worse; her parents, who've supported her the entire way, are making an offer on their dream house, and she's promised to repay them the money she owes by the end of the summer. With no other options, Mackenzie accepts a promotion to assistant manager at Rexford Drugs. Meanwhile, playboy billionaire Damien Bronson is in Florida to gather information on the potential acquisition of Rexford Drugs for his family's company. A series of accidental meetings with Mackenzie leads to him asking her to play his fake fiancee to help him with the acquisition. She agrees, but only because she needs the money to repay her parents. The more time they spend pretending, the more the relationship starts to feel real, but Damien has never been interested in a serious relationship before. Can Mackenzie change his mind?
I really enjoyed the fast pace of this story, as well as Damien and Mackenzie's chemistry. It was a slow burn, but when they finally got together, there was plenty of steam. I also liked Mackenzie herself, who was wonderfully strong and independent no matter what challenges she faced. It would have been easy for her to give in to Damien when he tried to step in and solve all of her problems for her near the end, but instead, she stood up to him and got her life together on her own.
Unfortunately, I wasn't quite as big a fan of Damien. His arrogance was rather off-putting at times, as was his tendency to lean into the billionaire lifestyle and throw money around to get whatever he wanted, day or night, no matter the inconvenience to other people. I loved that Mackenzie called him on that and made an effort to show him what it was like to exist in a world without limitless resources. Aside from that, I would have liked to see Damien be a bit more open about his feelings for Mackenzie. There didn't seem to be a lot of progression; it was more like a switch flipped after he had a conversation with his brother, and he suddenly decided that he was in love with her. Finally, the book's ending felt a bit rushed to me. I would have liked to see more of Damien's transformation into a patient, supportive partner shown on the page.
While I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as the first one in the series, I would still recommend it for all fans of contemporary romance and romantic comedy. I look forward to picking up the next book, which will feature Damien's brother Bradley and Mackenzie's friend Carolyn.

Any working adult has been in Mackenzie’s shoes sometimes no matter how hard you work, something usually will go throw you off your plan. Mackenzie has so much talent but can’t seems to make it every turn she made lead her to accepting this fate getting a job to make ends meet even that isn’t working as planned. Damian sexy as all get out billionaire who is used to getting what/who he wants when he wants it/them, and meeting Mackenzie was something different offering to hire her to be his pretend fiancée she agrees but not without a lot of second guessing herself and him to be honest. But what they couldn’t pretend was the intense attraction brewing between them Mackenzie doing everything she can to ignore it and Damian doing everything to get her to see she belongs in his world matter of fact she belongs to him, but will he be able to convince her, will she accept him, or will she continue to fight him, and where is it all headed on a path to happiness?

This a good read. It has great characters, some ups and downs, some good chemistry, and a HEA ending. I enjoyed this book for the most part. Not everything was my cup of tea, but I believe that most people will enjoy this story. Happy reading.

This is the story of Mackenzie, a talented singer, songwriter and musician who’s walked away from performing to get a responsible adult job. She’s made the ultimate sacrifice but it’s not exactly paying off since everything keeps going wrong through no fault of her own. Her plight is relatable and pulled me right in but Damian was a welcome savior. He truly wants to help but he can’t see how demeaning it might be for her to accept it. These two are fun together and I love their story. They’re funny and steamy with a sweet HEA.
The heroine Mackenzie is an aspiring musician who is down on her luck in more ways than one. She is a creep magnet who gets harassed by more than one slimy dude in the story, and it ruins several career options for her. An ex stole her song writing credits and made her a persona non grata in her previous musical circles. Her roommates are idiots. She is in financial trouble and has to sell her belongings. Enter Damien who offers her money to play his fake fiancee in order to negotiate a business deal.
The hero Damien was a minor character in the first book of the series but this can be read as a standalone. The trouble with the book is that he comes across as a douchebag. In the first few chapters we learn that he despises all of his hook-ups and thinks he's such a God's gift to womankind that every female wants his money and his babies. His assistant wasn't into him so he assumes she must be gay or asexual. He saw the heroine getting harassed and I was surprised his kind of a man would even notice. After her apartment burned down she said she wanted to talk and he rolled his eyes and thought that her problems are minor compared to his.
I liked some fresh twists in the plot and the way the heroine values integrity and her independence and doesn't end up letting the man solve all of her problems although her character growth largely happens in between chapters in the end. But some of the character motivations seemed a little haphazard. Things just happen without the couple actually resolving anything. She overhears him saying that he's not into her and it seemed like a relationship problem to me but she just forgets and never really talk about it. Damien thinks he's in love with her but he never actually tells her. Somehow they both just end up assuming that he wants to continue the relationship.
One of the creeps who harassed Mackie was Damien's business rival and I was looking forward to some comeuppance for him but there was nothing of note.
Steam level: Damien thinks a lot about how to get Mackie in bed but there are no graphic scenes.

This review has been a hard one to write. I started out really, truly enjoying the book and the characters but then everything fizzled out and I actually thought there wasn’t going to be a HEA (which would have infuriated me). Fortunately there was an ending tacked on to provide one but it was all very flat and forced. From the end of the cruise to the end of the book Mackenzie and Damien changed characters so completely it was like I was suddenly reading a different book. She became selfish and arrogant and he became a weak, spineless wimp. And when they “get back together” we suddenly jump ahead a year and boom! everything is ok? Did some chapters get missed? It certainly seems they did. This was very disappointing to me as I really enjoyed the book until the end of the cruise.
I didn’t realize this was the second book in a series until I went to post the review. It works fine as a stand alone until the end when suddenly people show up and we don’t know who they are. Even reading the first book, though, can’t save the disappointing end.

1.5 stars I only finished this because I was 64% in it already But the writing and the dialogue is so simple? Like there is no suspense and they have the wildest mood swings. One moment ml is like “oh lemme close the deal on her” and the next l, literally the next sentence he is “omg the future with her an d out three children” UGH it’s described in such a simple manner I can’t even. And he is the textbook bad billionaire playboy but all wrong 😑 NO SLOW BURN it’s too fast paced with little to no explanation and build up.
This book could’ve easily been 100 pages longer if the author just took her time really build up some suspense and not change the minds of her characters every page.
And I’m sooooo tired of reading “my folks”
It had most of the right elements to be a good book, but then the description and writing messed it up.
SPOILER::
It had the don’t touch her, and the creep who tries to hit on her but gets beaten up, him being rich and ambitious but it alll gets overthrown by his asshole personality omg.
There’s was also this time where they had sex and then the next morning all is fine and dandy but then she gets a phone call and is like “oh no I’m so depressed I can barely get out I just lay in the bed and cry now” GIRL WHAT
This story gripped me from the beginning. Poor Mackie was trying to be responsible and kept getting kicked in the teeth. I really enjoyed the progression of this book and so many unexpected things happened, I loved that this book felt fresh and new, not like the same story with different characters! If you love a story with a strong, unlucky heroine and an arrogant billionaire. This book is for you! I was all in.
This is the second book in this series, however it is not necessary to read the first one, but it does happen in the same world and since book 3 is coming out, might as well dive in!
Also, let me add that I really like Tina Gabor's writing style. The descriptions of people, clothing, locations all help bring this great story to life!

Mackenzie had a year of nothing going right and needed cash really quick. Through meeting Damien several times, he asks her to be his fake fiance during the takeover of the company she works for. Not liking the idea, but needing the money to pay back the loan from her parents, she accepts. Things start to go wrong again, right before things are signed and now Mackenzie needs to get her life in order. The characters are complex, with secret plans and great arguments. The storyline is a roller coaster of hidden agendas, drama, surprises, romance, writing songs for her ex and others, second chances and much more. They have great chemistry and determination. Terrific ending.

Damien and Mackenzie are from two different worlds, but their parental background are fairly similar, and gets quite important through out this book. Damian is a hunk of a billionaire, that is used to getting his way. Mackenzie is a broke musician, who struggles to make rent, and does not accept help. It was fun to read how Damien tries to get Mackenzie to accept him, his world and his offer to help. I really enjoyed reading this book, and especially all of Mackenzie's snarky comments. This is definitely a must read book for all who loves Pretty Woman, as it has a lot of the same vibes.

This book was a bit mixed reviews for me, felt like it was almost written at two different times. The characters both start out well defined Mackenzie down on her lunch and Damien your typical billionaire good looking with too much money and arrogance. The storyline was intriguing and their interactions between them was notable, but it changed and it seemed their characters flipped, she became more self centered and him a shell of his former self. I did like the ending, but thought it could have been wrapped up a little neater, as I felt some loose ends were left open.

Mackenzie is a musician in financial trouble, struggling to pay her rent. She is also not comfortable accepting help, but she doesn’t want her parents to be hurt by her mistakes.
So when Damien Bronson offers to hire her to pretend to be his fake fiancee so he can win a business deal, she reluctantly agrees. But she has to make sure she does not actually fall for the handsome Damien. Is her willpower strong enough? Can she resist him and walk away after this is all over? Grab your copy and find out.
Very good with good characters 4.5 It's a very good romance, a little predictable at times, just as unpredictable at other times. I liked Mackensie, who keeps her morals and struggles to deal with the lies she is forced to tell, but who tries to stay honest (even if it means suffering the consequences). Her story with Damien gradually builds in tension, but it remains exciting, despite the wait because their story and their feelings are well written and well described. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Read this book series awhile ago, just writing my review. This was my first time reading books by the author, I loved the whole series. It’s funny, spicy. Loved the FMC in all the books as characters are interconnected even tho they are standalone. The MMC are swoon worthy. Really enjoyed
