This novel has one of the nicest, sweetest and kindest parents in any universe. It makes me wonder, are there parents like this out there in the world or was I brought up in a strict environment? Most probably the latter as I was brought up in a typical brown household XD
I loved the clueless Yue Zhishi and at the same time had an innate playful side that came out during their time alone. The confession caught me out fo the blue but I still loved that there were no any misunderstanding and that they spoke to each other like mature adults. The more I read, the more I love Yue Zhishi and Song Yu. As I mentioned earlier the story is somewhat typical but at the same time unique with its own voice.
AHHHH....I am screaming. I did not go into this book with any real expectations, but I love them so so much. This volume was a big step up from vol.1, and I already loved that a lot and have that at a 4 too. The relationship development was handled beautifully, and their getting together was so special. They are so precious to me.
Apart from a few filler chapters about the competition (which feels very disjointed from what Zhishi is studying anyway), this book was almost perfect.
I loved the first book, but I loved this one even more. Other than one plot that felt very random and unrelated to anything else this was absolutely amazing to read.
it was cute but i was bored by the 50% point tbh the writing was okay…
the characters get together around the 50% mark and i wish the book was also 50% shorter after that because nothing interesting really happened. i love slice of life books but this wasn't giving it lol i kept comparing it to priest's guomen.
also gege used in certain situations *coughs* gives me flashbacks and just NO THANK YOU
