Damn I can't recall this part of the series.

It could be that epsidoes where he goes to a frenzy drive, all the way up to the toP RANKS> in milicom. Once there he tries to lure the traitor out with some scheme, but somehow he manges to get away on the last minute, on an escape vessel while he leaves all the others to die.

then he continues his hunt ( for the Quartz massacre to avenge his comrades) down in Nu Earth again>!!
but still I can't remeber tht particular image, or any robot helping him out in any way. Any of U fellas out there have a clue, tink tink,,,memory check.. It's a damn time-warp I can't recall for sure

OK so I am working my way through the Rogue Trooper collection and I think I have done it again by picking up the previous book to the one I read earlier - it does not help that there are no volume numbers and the Prog numbering is not clearly indicated which does lead to some confusion when trying to figure out where I am and more importantly where the characters are (since there are some references to places and events that happened before - though thankfully not that often).

That said once you get in to the storyline it's all good fun and then memories come flooding back. I know that the UK does not have the same number of comics as say the US but the impact 2000AD has had over the years is immeasurable and I hope it carries on so. Aside from launching some of the most creative and well know artists in the industry today, it has also given us characters which have stood the test of time and appear to be as popular today as they were when I first found them.

As for this volume I feel that the stories where shorter and didn't have the same grandiose feel as some of the other volumes - no huge events now game changing occurrences however the stories were still imaginative and definitely packed with action.

Pretty decent war fun with some really good bits and then some not-so-good bits.
