At Three Forks Ranch, Emmett Slade spends his days working horses and giving tours to city folk looking for a chance to experience cowboy life, and the running joke is that older, wealthier female visitors are always looking to experience something more.

Emmett is used to cougar jokes, but when he meets Paisley O’Brian, the attraction he feels is no laughing matter. She’s beautiful, sophisticated, and smart, and as far as Emmett is concerned, way out of his league.

Paisley O’Brian anticipated the trip to a Three Forks to be nothing more than a relaxing professional retreat, but she gets more excitement when she bargains for when her first trail ride ends in near disaster thanks to a lecherous foreman. She’s grateful when Emmett saves her, and his protectiveness triggers feelings she had long suppressed after leaving a relationship with an unfaithful Dom.

Soon neither can deny the spark, but not everyone approves of Emmett’s relationship with an older woman. Emmett’s friends are determined to set him up with a friend closer to his age. As for Paisley, the myriad logical reasons she has for saying no to this younger man burn away in the heat of their fast-growing passion.

But before it can go too far, Paisley tells Emmett her secret. She’s a submissive and responds to strong Daddy Dom energy. Can this younger cowboy give her what she needs? Emmett is ready to go the distance and prove that youth is no barrier to being a strong Daddy Dom.

They are determined to make it work, but first they’ll have to overcome the opposition of Emmett’s friends and a former co-worker who returns bent on revenge.

Ava Sinclair is a best-selling Amazon romance author who caters to readers who appreciate a plot driven book where the steamy sex complements the story, rather than overshadowing it.

A hopeless bibliophile, Ava avidly reads across multiple genres, and this is reflected in her varied body of work that spans contemporary, medieval fantasy, western, historical, time travel and sci-fi. She especially enjoys world-building and crafting interesting and relatable characters.

Because her books feature graphic sex and elements of power exchange, she gently cautions her readers to take her work for what it is – delightful, sexy escapism.

Ava lives in southern Virginia in a farmhouse tucked away on a wooded hilltop. The first thing she did after moving in was to rip out the dining room and turn it into a library/office. This is where she spends most of her days, writing and being ignored by her cats. When she’s not working, she enjoys roaming the woods around her house, or seeking the advice of Lucius, her Eagle Owl.

She got several elements right — English professor who would have studied geology if not English, the beautiful horses and their temperaments, the landscape.

But other things are pure fantasy — classics and English are two different departments, tenure in a year is hilarious, and the no kink conversation with insta-conversion & no condom thing is magical thinking. But we don’t expect hard reality from these, do we?

This series features older women and their Daddy Doms; I find this refreshing since DD/lg usually depicts very young women. Here we get Paisley, a college professor over a decade older than ranch foreman Emmett. Despite their differences, can they make things work?

This book is lighter in tone than the one before (or the one after); I think those looking for consensual kink scenes featuring two likeable, level-headed people will enjoy this. Younger doms and older subs are rare in this genre (though, coincidentally, Rewarding Avery came out not too long ago) so the MC was a nice change of pace.

While I liked this since it features my own personal preferences (a mature couple and believable situations), I didn't love it for three reasons. First of all, it's filled with too much information for the wrong things (in what medium Paisley prefers to read books; the incident with the horse, which we read of twice -- once when it happens and once when Paisley recounted it) and not enough for the right things (Paisley and Emmett suddenly become a DD/lg couple five seconds after she mentions it to him). Second, while the details pertaining to the horses seem authentic (I believe the author herself is a horsewoman), those regarding Paisley's profession are not. According to the book, she's either a Classics or English professor (you cannot be both); Romantic poets are considered Classical (uhm, no); and there's no college in the world who would send an entire department on a week-long retreat to a dude ranch. Finally, because Paisley and Emmett experience no angst between them (another refreshing change), the author is forced to create artificial tension using some heavy-handed one-dimensional characters out of place in an otherwise realistic world.

3 1/2 stars. I really appreciate how the narrative consistently points out the double-standard of aging: because women are often evaluated by their looks, they're treated more harshly than men when they age. That said, I found the title misleading: it's class rather than age that challenges this couple. I wish the author had explored this organic conflict rather than impose a pretty ridiculous one.

Ava Sinclair penned another delightful age-gap romantic suspense. Readers meet college professor, Paisley O’Brian, and cowboy, Emmett Slade. He works at a resort ranch and meets her when she came with other professors for a retreat. Soon, they are together. However, the owner’s useless brother, Craig Winthrop, threatens their happiness with acts of revenge. He despises Emmett and plans to eliminate him. Will he be successful? Will Paisley and Emmett be safe? Will they find happiness? You must read this book to find out.

I appreciate Ms. Sinclair’s slant on her plotline of the reverse age difference. Instead of the standard older man/younger woman, she chose the older woman/younger man model. She respectfully captures the latent discrimination that accompanies these relationships. Ms. Sinclair does a remarkable job crafting conversational dialog as well as internal monologues. Her descriptive language is outstanding. The scenes wherein the couple are outdoors admiring nature were vivid.

Paisley is an older woman and a very successful professor of English Literature at her college. This summer her department is spending a week bonding at a dude ranch. Paisley is happy because she used to love riding horses as a child even though she used an English saddle. Her first time back in the saddle with an american saddle didn't go well until a ranch hand named Emmett gave her some tips. Later that afternoon on a different horse Paisley is able to show off her skills. Unfortunately the ranch supervisor has his eye on her. In showing off his "skills" he treats his horse terribly and the horse rebels. Paisley's horse is spooked and tver the angry ex-supervisor isn't done with them yet.akes off running. Luckily Emmitt is there to save her. When they get back to the ranch the supervior tries to fire Emmett but Paisley stands up for him. The owner listens to her and Emmett gets promoted to supervisor. The bond grows between the two even though there is a bigger age difference. They find out that they are a perfect match because Paisley is a Little who needs a Daddy like Emmitt. However the ex-foreman isn't about to let things go.

I really enjoyed this Daddy Dom/Little Girl book. Paisley is an older woman, in her forties, who is confident in her abilities as a woman and as a professor at a private women's college. Emmett is in his thirties and very attracted to Paisley. Paisley sees the seeds of dominance in Emmett and tells him about her needs as a Little. Emmett embraces the Little in Paisley and their relationship starts. Of course, they face criticism not because of the age factor, as that would be fine if it was an older male/younger woman. No, the issue is that Paisley is older. Our society doesn't accept an older woman with a younger man. I think that the author does a good job with the issue. Both Paisley and Emmett are strong individuals that accept each other as they are. I highly recommend this book as the topic and the characters are great.

I enjoyed this story of Paisley, a college professor at a working ranch for her college vacation retreat. Emmett is the leader of the trail rides and cares for the animals on the ranch. After a dangerous incident involving the ranch foreman, Craig, Emmett and Paisley become close. Emmett is 12 years younger than Paisley age, but after getting to know each other better, they discover they each have something very precious in common. Paisley reveals she's a little in need of a daddy dom and Emmett is ready to fill those shoes for her. Other than dealing with opinions of others and disapproval of the man being younger than his romantic partner, the ageism seems to be people's focus. There is also the fired foreman who wants revenge for losing his job to deal with but you will see, love will find a way.

These books just keep getting better and better!

I love that Paisley is a professor but is very accepting and down-to-earth. She's smart and thinks fast on her feet in any circumstance, which was helpful in this story. She's also British. She is a strong woman who needs to submit to a Daddy.

Emmett is an alpha cowboy who is loyal to his loved ones, needed to be needed, and is very protective and mature for being 12 years younger than her. He is a true Daddy Dom who knew what he wanted and went after it. And what he wanted most was for Paisley to be happy and fulfilled, and he showed his little girl it all the way through to the end of the story.

Despite everything they went through, they both found a new future than the ones they had originally planned and ended up so lovingly happy together. ❤️ Wonderful! I can't wait for the next book. Happy reading! ;D

Emmett never expected to find this one true love. Paisley was at the ranch for a vacation with her co-workers. She didn’t think she would find love or even a new start. What these to find is precious and worth everything. I have to say ageism is always going to be around and this book does show how jaded it is with some. Emmett is a good man and honest. He cares about his job and his boss. You have to love that he also is willing to dive into a relationship that is new. He was always there for Paisley and not once allowed anyone’s change that. Paisley is smart and knows what she wants. I loved this book. Why shouldn’t an older woman have a relationship with a younger man. Yes, my relationship with my boyfriend is 13 years older. Age should never be an issue in a relationship. Thanks Ava.

This is a great story by Ava Sinclair. I really enjoyed reading and didn't want it to end. I loved the interactions between Emmett and Paisley. Emmett works at Three Forks Ranch, giving tours and taking care of the animals. Paisley and her college department are on a retreat. She needs something new than her usual summer plans. She doesn't expect to meet Emmett though. After a terrifying experience, Emmett makes sure that she is alright. They have a connection that Emmett wants to explore. He doesn't seem concern about their age differences. Paisley needs something a little more, will Emmett be able to give it to her?

age is just a number

This book had serious writing and emotions wrapped up in it.
The author brought to this story about how the public sees nothing wrong with older men and younger women but definitely see something wrong with older woman and younger man. The maturity levels are different with each person and no one should ever try to shame them or tell them that they are wrong.
Loved reading this and hope the next one is written just as well.
Emmett and Paisley were made for each other but did not know it or acknowledge it in the early stages of their friendship.
Also, remember Safe, Sane and Consensual is required on all levels along with age (no one under the age of consent)

Literary professor Paisley joins co-workers on a western ranch retreat. The British lady was used to horse riding and going on geological digs. The geology tours attracted her. She also caught the attention of the ranch manager, who was 12 years younger.

Elliott was drawn to the beautiful British professor. She was naturally submissive and pulled his dominating desire to protect her. The age difference didn’t challenge his desires. Age is just a number. The soul knows what it needs.

Soon they are exploring her Little Girl/Daddy needs, and he falls right into Daddy role. They are more than a fling. This is long-term.

Erotic novel when suspenseful subplot of embezzlement by a dangerous family member of the ranch owner.

I enjoy stories with an older woman/ younger man but seldom find good ones. Ava Sinclair has given her readers a really good story with this. Paisley is there to enjoy some time off work and Emmet is instantly attracted to her. I loved the connection between them but there were some characters that I didn't care for. One was the Craig and the other was Connie. And while I won't spoil anything, I will say I'm glad Craig got what was coming to him and I wanted to reach through my kindle and smack Connie. LOL The story may be a quick read but it has all the feels. This is one you won't want to miss!

I found this book very enjoyable. I'm a big age gap junkie, so this book held a little extra appeal for me, and it got super bonus points for being an older woman/younger man romance. I thought Paisley and Emmet were easy to like and root for. Their chemistry was good, and I simply loved the heat they generated between them. The Daddy Dom kink was like frosting on an already decadent cake as far as I was concerned. A smartly crafted combination of emotion, inner turmoil, tension and drama flows throughout and that makes sure your eyes stay glued to the page, while firmly keeping your heart in the game. I am independently posting an impartial review.

Finally, younger Daddy older babygirl

Cute story! I love the age difference and how Emmitt falls into that role. I like that she doesn’t negate his feelings and spend too much time trying to deny their connection as well.
I’m so happy to see someone finally writing about younger Daddy’s and older baby girls.
I’m 65 and I had no idea I was/am a baby girl until I was 55 and divorced.
All the Daddy’s I’ve talked with are younger and not one has had a problem with my age. It’s who I am deep inside and who can bring that forward that counts.

It is good to finally read a story with an older woman and younger man. It shows some of the prejudices that are associated with this age difference and how they successfully overcame them. The story is well written and entertaining with a lot of romance and danger that is finally foiled. This is definitely a story worth reading.

Emmett is a cowboy on Three Forks Ranch. He rescues one of the customers after her horse is spooked by the incompetent ranch foreman. Emmett is attracted to Paisley despite her being noticeably older than him. Paisley stands up for Emmett after the foreman tries to have him sacked. They start to develop a relationship, but the ex foreman wants revenge.

Emmett and Paisley's age gap romance is a well written story. The people Emmett considers friends turn out to be judgmental and can't understand what he sees in a much older woman. I loved how they both weren't afraid to go after what they wanted in both their personal and professional lives. Both were open to new experiences and made their relationship work. I'm not a particular fan of Ddlg stories, but there were very slight references that it did not affect the enjoyment of the book.

Sadly, an older woman with a younger man is still frowned upon, receiving unsolicited comments. I loved how proud Emmett was with his relationship with Paisley and not afraid to set people straight. Add a little attempted murder, jealousy, and mean gossip, and you have a great storyline.

Emmett and Paisley are easy to like characters. This is a dd/lg romance with an older woman/younger man twist. I enjoyed the storyline very much as it was developed with drama, danger and romance. Thisbisba very enjoyable read.

I love a good Daddy book, but I usually like the older man/younger woman. But Ava Sinclair gives us a Daddy 12 yrs younger than his little girl and I love it!

Emmett loves working on the ranch but it's definitely not what he wants forever. His heart is in his ironwork and his cabin...until he lays eyes on Paisley.

Paisley is at the ranch for team building with her University colleagues. Little did she know that her mini summer vacation would change her life.

I absolutely adored these two. Emmett NEVER let their age difference affect his feelings towards her...even when everyone around them had their two cents to share.

I am thrilled that the bad guy got what was coming to him, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Younger Daddy

This was a nice romance with a tinge of danger. It also pointed out prejudice in the form of ageism. I will look for more about the ranch and this couple.

This is so much more than a romance story as it explores ageism
and prejudice in a relationship where the man is younger than his
partner. As the title suggests, Emmett is much younger than Paisley,
which poses no problems with Emmett, but it does cause Paisley
to rethink their budding relationship. Communication and trust was
pivitol between them with Emmett being the daddy Paisley craved
if she was brave enough. He called to her body and soul.

Dr. Paisley O’Brien was on a vacation at a working ranch after her
ex lied to her. Here she met Emmett Holden, who worked on the
ranch. Meeting Paisley filled a void, and Emmett was determined
to make their relationship work despite their age difference. Despite
her best efforts, Paisley could not surpress her latent submissive
desires.

This would not be such a good story without the inclusion of danger,
romance, spankings, a sexy as sin cowboy, and an intelligent woman
who reached for what made her happy.
