This is a story about Yun Shu who transmigrated into a novel. She became a cannon fodder character who doesn't have that much presence in the story. Before the main couple of the story meets, she accidentally became the ML's girlfriend.
The premise of the story is what prompted me to read this. Unfortunately, it was too short that I felt it was lacking on the plot part.
The romance is bland. Though the chemistry of Yun Shu and Fu Ran (ML) is decent. It was also cute and a bit mushy. A few nsfw scenes here that this story can actually be tagged as sm*t.
The secondary characters are not fleshed out. A lot of one dimensional characters here, even the 'villain' just appeared a few times.
I wish it was longer. I wanted more.🥲

It's a short, lighthearted novel. I finished it in a few hours. Honestly I was going for some no-brainer plot driven novel and then I came up with this one and I am glad I read it.
There is mature steamy scenes but it revolves around how the ML and FL started a not-so-conventional relationship and then started dating like normal people.
The most adorable and attractive point was that- though the ML, Fu Ran, may be a domineering president who is cold and does things without any consideration, he is totally inexperienced and loves Yun Shu like any normal young man without any experience would do. He is considerate towards FL and dotes on her like a baby. The FL is also written meticulously. She is not a white lotus. She is a laid-back person without any ambition. She has flaws and strengths in her character instead of going for the Mary Sue or op route. The best thing is that the author didn't make her to be someone who does not know how to have a good time (if you know what I mean >_<). Most of the time in cn novels, the female leads are *reserved*, they can NOT like sex or they would seem uncultured or something, which I really hate. I mean man, a girl also has her needs, right?!
There is also the Fu family. Unlike other novels, this rich ML's family doesn't fight for wealth. Their in between conversations are hilarious. The comedic elements of this novel is well written.
Anyway, this novel is pretty good. The extras were a bit rushed but I am not going to nitpick about that. There are some plotholes but it won't bother you that much either, so it's okay.
We need more of this type of novels where the ML and FL have a healthy relationship!

I want a boyfriend like Fu Ran! Can someone tell this single dog where I can find one?! T_T

Absolutely love the story, though it can be a bit slow to progress but that is typical of most Chinese Novel I read and that's the beauty of it.
This isn't your typical weak to overbearing story as the female lead knows exactly what she wants in life that makes this story refreshing for me.
Though others are free to voice out their opinions as well 😊.
