Although the book seems like it is a bit on the bigger side compared to others of its size and content it is actually half that when taken into consideration every two-page spread has a colored picture. As a result if you are looking for a fast and cat-focused read this would be it.

The author in this book basically took a colored photograph of a cat and added a caption to it so not even the reading for each page is quite heavy. Instead they are simple and basic so any younger readers or those learning English may find this as a good stepping stone although some of the captions like the "Magic Fingers" vibrating bed may be lost to them.

Although some of these were cute and definitely reminded me of my Essie (again no tortie pics), they weren't something totally amazing and out-of-the-world. There was more attitude-sounding - nay cantankerous pictures instead of antics while the antics were just kind of ho-hum. Only a few made me laugh just since we are going through that "ready... set... shred" phase and "I am going to use you as my scratching post".

Most of these cats also tended to be of the same breeds or types so for those who are fanciers or like to eyeball cat breeds you'll just find mostly Persians and shorthairs within these pages.

All in all it was a decent read and like I said a fast one but not one I would recommend unless you are just seeking a time-waster before moving onto your next book.
