Damaged... what do I say? Fantabulous :-)

I strongly believe every person has a good and a dark side. There are no good or bad people per say but we've been groomed to believe there are. That secret dark side that not many people are aware and when it's no longer a secret, the person gets stereotyped. It's a super bold attempt to speak about it and take the effort to publish it. Kudos Aditi! You rock.

The standout of the book was the last paragraph of every story :) After two/three stories, I started counting the number of pages in the chapter as I couldn't wait to get to the last paragraph 🤣. While I loved all the stories, Meenakshi's story was a standout for me. While it might draw some 'dark' opinions from others, I felt it epitomizes the mindset that we all get into. They say - you try to stay away from a negative emotion and you keep attracting it eventually. Very well written.

That space in marriage was like silk. Short and sweet. Made me smile. The language throughout was super good and I enjoyed flowing thru the paragraphs. I felt the italics could have been different though. It took a couple of pages to get used to the typeface and format. It took some time for me to get into a rhythm in Majumdar's story. I was wondering where you'd be taking the puppy and Rani given how Majumdar is. The fact that I have seen such characters in real life made it spicy :)

Ishita's story was very sad and brings about the dark side of the society. The end was totally unexpected. Wow! By the time I got to Ishita, I had tuned my mind to the author and I guess that's when you start 'appreciating' the dark side of things :) Home was peaceful. Beautifully articulated and a subtle touch of 'hope' throughout.

What a refreshing book you've written Aditi. Many kudos to you and thanks for giving it to me. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

An excellent and easy read! I loved all the stories..all of them are so touching, pleasantly bizarre and achingly relatable. Loved the little details narrated in each story which makes one imagine the characters in the set while you read the stories.. whether be it the color of flowers or how the Mr.Mosai prepared bhoj. After each story you are curious about the next one which made it hard to put down the book till you finished all the stories .Lastly but most importantly the Eulogy was so beautiful and makes one think about the purpose and fragility of ones life. That lightness .. that's what we all finally want.

“Uncontrolled mind can be your biggest enemy, but it can be your best friend if you control it “ - Bhagavadgita

Unfortunately, what *the* mind conceives is not completely in one’s hands.
These amazing collection of eight stories gives insight into the journey of the human mind. Though on surface, how a person reacts to a particular situation has nonplaybook, the author convincingly narrates each character’s internalised thought process. The reader can relate to each of the characters.

Great work… Wish there were more than 8 stories.
Absolutely a must read.

Given a chance, I would like to get into the Author's mind and know how she thinks so crazily. A well structured stories which are really bizarre with some of the best analogies and metaphors being used.

A very simple English which can reach all sought of audience( even those who are not regular readers).

Excellent articulation of one's feelings, thought process and the sentiments. All of us can relate ourselves atleast with one story.

Looking forward for many such releases, Ms. Aditi Mukherjee

An amazing collection of short stories each leading the reader deep into the labyrinth of human psyche. Strap on and hold tight as you roar through this rollercoaster of emotions. I love the O Henry kind of feel and twist almost every story had. The last story is so beautifully written, a moving tribute. This book is a must read !!!

I am not an avid reader, rather I would say a selective reader. Damaged is so well written that not a single story has left my mind without a question. A question which only a reader has to answer for him/herself. For those who need ot short yet everlasting, please go for it.
