Necklace Trilogy #1

What If I Never?

Rate this book
A necklace delivered to the wrong Allison: me. I'm the wrong Allison. That misplaced gift places a man in my path. A man who instantly consumes me and leads me down a path of dark secrets and intense passion. Dash Black is a famous, bestselling author, but also a man born into wealth and power. He owns everything around him, every room he enters. He owns me the moment I meet him. He seduces me oh so easily and reveals another side of myself I dared not expose. Until him. Until this intense, wonderful, tormented man shows me another way to live and love. I melt when he kisses me. I shiver when he touches me. And I like when he's in control, especially when I thought I'd never allow anyone that much power over me ever again. We are two broken people who are somehow whole when we are together, but those secrets--his, and yes, I have mine as well--threaten to shatter all that is right and make it wrong. What If I Never is the first book in the Necklace Trilogy. Contains mature themes.

Loved it! It was a great start to a new trilogy. I enjoyed the mystery behind the missing Allison and her possible fate. I kept looking for clues right along with the other Allison (Allie), the heroine of the book.

I loved how Allie and Dash met and the attraction that was very, evident from the start. I don't have Dash figured out yet, but I know I'm going to continue to love him for Allie.

Tyler is harder to figure out. He came off more of a jerk in the beginning than towards the end...he may end up being a good guy, only time will tell. I'm also not sure what his overall role is going to end up being so he's pretty mysterious, as well.

Dash's sister, Bella, already has me wanting to eventually see a book for her. She seems like she will make a great future heroine. In the mean time, I love her sibling relationship with Dash.

This ends on a pretty big cliff hanger, however we don't have a long wait for book two. I felt like this first book was hard to put down, so I am eager to get to the next book.

The blurb was very intriguing and I was excited to read the first part.
But the story’s pace was slow, and my interest was lost from having only the heroine’s pov and her inner monologues...

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Trigger warnings: Infidelity, cheating, psychological abuse, violence, stalkers, mention of cancer, mention of death.

Note: This is a trilogy. Please read in order. First is What If I Never. Second Is Because I Can coming December 14th 2021. The final one yet to be released is When I Say Yes.

My god this book!

Just finished it and all I can say is wow.

Packed all the punches, and left me reeling so bad, I am sure I won't be forgetting this one for a long time.

With enough emotion, gut, sex, violence, and suspense keeping you on it's tiptoes, it's a guaranteed novel that will not make you forget it's name for some time.

But we do need a detailed review, so here we go.

Allison is given a necklace by mistake of identity, with no name, letter or indication of who it was supposed to go to.

What starts into a simple search for the owner of a precious and valuable necklace turns into a suspenseful, thrilling and a ride of a lifetime trying to find the real A who's supposed to get the necklace (no this isn't pretty little liars stop it). Along the ride come Dash Black, the one who charms, warms and melts the heart of our main FMC, and Tyler her boss and a possible link to the real Allison.

It is not simple. And the real Allison will make sure it seems to not be easy to find her.

Honestly I zipped through this entire book, despite it being a hefty sixty seven chapter book, but the way LRJ writes reminded me of her brilliance trilogy (yes I still have yet to catch up with the third book but whatever it's not relevant here), and how powerfully she writes, sucking me in deep and never letting go.

I was completely in love with all three MCs, tyler a bit less. Allison (our one) was strong, brave, logical, warm, and stubborn which I admired in her thoroughly, never giving up on herself or her family, and what I wish to be someday.

Dash black is my ultimate book boyfriend. Charming, caring, se***l, oozing perfection even with flaws, I was thoroughly hooked and crooked by the likes of him, and I hope to continue to enjoy this journey with him as with Allison.

Not my favorite comes along, aka Tyler. Sure took me some to warm up to him because god honestly his actions took me so much time to actually get used to him. But in the end what he did for Allison, kinda I guess touched that he cared so much.

But please I don't want a love triangle. God knows I don't love those.

I want someone for Tyler too. How about Bella? hmmm? I don't think it's a bad idea.

Anyway, my god this book just overtook my soul completely, made me weep, cry laugh and just be so much in love with all three of them.

Sigh..I don't think I have enough words to cover how amazing and wonderfully dark and enticing it was.

Plus I loved the song references so there was that. It was love and I loved it.

So yup, I am totally head over heels for this new trilogy and I can't wait for the rest.

Until the next read,

-TMR

As anyone knows who reads my reviews, I am a huge Lisa Renee Jones fan. I can’t say enough good about how she writes a romantic suspense story. How she drags her readers into the hearts and minds of her characters. She keeps you turning page after page wanting to know where the story is going and what’s going to happen next. I enjoy that … the suspense she creates, the characters she creates and the stories that she creates. Not a huge fan of the cliff-hangar but, for a LRJ book, I’ll live with it. Book 1 of the Necklace Trilogy is interesting. From the beginning, we know what PART of the mystery is. The rest will be uncovered as the story unfolds, I’m sure. But, what got me the most is that this story is set in Nashville. Yes, the one city that is on the top of my bucket list to visit. I loved all the country music references and how their hearts mirrored some beautiful songs. But, I digress. The Necklace Trilogy has a lot of moving parts to it. Allison 1 and 2 … Dash … Tyler. There is more than meets the eye to each one of these characters. As this is Book 1, the groundwork is being established and slowly being uncovered. But nothing is being totally revealed. Again … definitely a page turner wanting to get to the end to find out everyone’s secrets, their desires and their motivations. I can’t wait to find out what really happened between Dash and Tyler … what the necklace represents … where’s Allison? I’m sure we will find the answers to all these questions. Until then, we’ll just have to deal with the volatile relationship of Allison and Dash. We’ll have to enjoy the auction and the action and try to figure out how all parts are going to fit together in the end. The rest will just have to wait.

“We’re all flawed, Dash. And inside those flaws is everything that makes us stronger.” “And vulnerable,” he adds softly. “A very famous writer once told me that being vulnerable is not weakness.”

What If I Never is the first book in the Necklace Trilogy and this book will instantly pull you into the story here. Our heroine is delivered a gift, a priceless necklace, but waws delivered to the wrong Allison. When Allie goes to find the real Allison, who works at a neighboring business, she finds there is a missing Allison, and a sexy stranger in a elevator whom she is instantly attracted to. When she finds herself working another job through a set of events, and working with her sexy stranger, who also happens to be an infamous writer, and a mystery that she can’t solve, she is intrigued by the way her life has curved. She is determined to find Allison, who is missing, but no one can give her a real answer on her whereabouts. She and Dash are starting something that excites her to the bones but she also wonders what can never have that is only temporary, with her real home in New York. As Dash and Allie explore this new relationship, there is also a mystery to solve.

No, diamonds and gifts do not bring happiness, nor do they substitute for love. And they absolutely do not erase the sins of betrayal.

I will say that I fell for this book so quickly. I had grabbed the first book when I saw it as a freebie, but yeah I just had to read this series, and so I bought books 2 and 3. There is a unique quality to this author’s style of writing that seems to work for me in such perfect ways. I was so involved in the relationship that Dash and Allie start to build together. There is so much mystery that surrounds our couple both inside and outside of the relationship. On the outside, we have the mystery of Allison and what has happened to her Then we have the mystery surrounding Dash, he has many layers that Allie has to work into peeling one layer at a time.

Elevators are truly tiny boxes where strangers crowd inside and end up ridiculously close while pretending we are not close at all.

ABOUT THE SERIES
A dirty-talking alpha who just happens to be her boss...
A proposed marriage of convenience so he can inherit...
A passion neither of them can deny...

Tyler Hawk is a man with secrets and a dark past. A man who has known tragedy and betrayal. He wants for little, but what he wants is more power, a legacy that is his own, and not his father's. There are obstacles in his way, one of which is the scandal his father left behind and a will with certain demands.

Behind the scenes he is a man on edge, and only one woman sees the truth hidden beneath his strong will and dominant rule. Bella is somehow demanding and submissive, fiery and yet sweet. She can give him everything he wants, she just doesn't know it, not yet, but she will. If she'll just say yes and sign on the dotted line.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is book one in The necklace trilogy, and if you haven’t guessed, it all starts with a necklace, delivered to the wrong Allison

As with any book, there are things I liked, and things I didn’t like.
I really liked the mystery surrounding the necklace and the other Allison.

What I didn’t like was the toxic relationship vibe I got from Allie and Dash’s relationship. They’re not at that point yet, where I can say they’re not good for each other, but I do get the feeling of something not being right.
I’m curious to see whether I’ve been right about these two.

I normally read Lisa Renee Jones' books when they are first released but unfortunately or maybe fortunately that wasn't possible this time so I waited until all three books were released and did a binge read of the trilogy and oh man I am so glad I did!

What if I Never? starts off with Allison Wright, aka Allie, receiving a necklace that belongs to a different Allison W. so she goes looking for her to return it only to find that the woman has left her job and no one knows where she is or if she will return. Of course this sparks curiosity in Allie and she finds herself embedding herself into Allison's life.

Dash Black is a former FBI agent turned bestselling Author, he uses his past experiences as an agent to enhance his stories and he is doing a great job at it because now there are movie and TV deals in the works for his books. Dash and Allie are working together on a Charity Auction for a charity that is near and dear to his heart but their time isn't only spent working on the auction...😉 Let's just say they have great chemistry together both inside and outside of the bedroom.

This story is filled with twists and turns and some super hot scenes, it also left us with a cliffhanger which is why I was thankful that I decided to binge read the series because I can dive right into the next book. I listened to What If I Never on audiobook and thought Grace Grant did a fabulous job with bringing this story to life.

If you enjoy Steamy Romantic Suspense reads that will have you so engrossed you won't realize hours have passed since you picked up the book then I would definitely recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

Loved getting back into the feel of the Inside Out series although I have to confess, I think I love Allison and Dash the most. This was a great set up to the trilogy. It isn’t insta-love although there is some serious attraction. However, it isn’t acted on until much later in the book. Nothing is rushed or overdone and yet the chemistry feels real and absolutely sizzles.

Julie on Twitter:

We are slowly teased with the depth of the mystery and still do not fully understand what all is happening with it, leaving me guessing and anxious to find out all the details concerning it and the other Allison. Even as the author laid the groundwork for the next two books, I was engaged and curious to learn where she was going to lead us. You never know with this one!

Allison and Dash each have something in their background that they carry. We get a bit of Allison's but not Dash although there was quite a twister at the end. This isn’t heavy with danger, action or drama but it is filled with plenty of delicious character development as well as a fiery connection between this hero and heroine.

*sigh

DNF'ed the audiobook.

THIS is the couple I'm supposed to follow throughout 3 books?! A couple without a hint of chemistry, a story so boring, I rather watch paint dry?

Yeah, the premise of the necklace being delivered to the wrong woman was interesting, but that is where the intrigue pretty much ended...

The writing went downhill because there was no glue keeping it together. So I stopped that boring journey before I could really go any further, lol.

I wasn't even sure who was supposed to be her love interest, that Tyler guy or that author guy, think his name was Dash or something...

This is a romance, I should be able to tell because chemistry NEEDS to be palpable between the two of them, but there is just nothing there for me to grab onto.

Think i DNF'd at around 53%, but I am not even sure because I fell asleep in the middle of the audiobook...

Complete Trilogy Review- NO SPOILERS

Receiving the wrong delivery has somehow landed Allison a new yet temporary position at Hawk Legal. I am one of the lucky few that have been able to binge-read the entire trilogy from start to finish. All within a 24 hour period. I was absolutely consumed with this. So many different love stories are crafted together to form a mystery. Many of the different interactions and outcomes I did not see coming. I found so many aspects of this trilogy highly fixating. I literally couldn’t put it down. I finally finished at 2 AM. It goes to show Lisa Renee Jones has a knack for compelling storytelling. Those of you who have been in it since book one can revel in this last and final part of the trilogy. And those of you who haven’t had the pleasure... well, you’re lucky in my opinion. You get to do what I did and binge your through till the end.

What If I Never is the first book in Lise Renee Jones' newest trilogy, the Necklace Trilogy. It's a romantic suspense and Lisa starts this trilogy off very well.

This book is an extreme slow burn. The pace of this book at times was good and at other times, it was a bit too slow for me. But this book is definitely all about building the suspense and each of the character's part in this trilogy.

I really don't want to say too much and give any plot points away accidentally. The blurb gives you all that you need to know going into this book. Lisa does a great job of building the suspense not just between each of the characters but as well with the plot.

There are a lot of secrets, a hefty amount of suspense and lots of steam going on within this book. Lisa delivers a great first book to start this trilogy off perfectly. She leaves us hanging at the end of this one but we thankfully are left dangling over the edge too long.

This was really good!! I have a love/hate relationship with series that are all about the same couple because I feel like they usually get boring, but with the mystery added to this plot I can see myself really enjoying the next books!

Dash and Ally are great together, but for some reason I don’t think they’re as toxic as they themselves think they are?.?. I don’t know if that makes sense, but they keep saying they’re toxic when I think they’re really good together.

I’m excited to see the plot twists coming up and how their relationship progresses!

3.5/5⭐️. THAT CLIFFHANGER!!! I will definitely be reading the next book soon because I need to know what happens next!

This book got me hooked from the beginning and I loved the mystery part of it. Trying to find where Allison was and why she left was so interesting. The romance in this book was so good too and I immediately liked Dash from the moment he was introduced. I loved the dark vibes he gave along with the sweet side. As well as how he was an ex FBI agent turned famous author!! AND the smut-omggg had me blushing and eveything. But another thing I loved was how easy of a read this was with the shorter chapters and the fast pace which is one of my favorite things to read. Overall I thought this was a really good start to a trilogy and am excited for what comes next!

Disclaimer: I was given an ARC of this book.
4/5 ⭐️
This novel begins a bit slow but it picks up around the 35% mark and boy does it pick up. I love the way this book ties in romance and mystery. I never thought I would actually enjoy a mystery novel but the way both of these genres are incorporated is amazing. The MC and the love interest have great chemistry. They complement each other well and their love story is enticing. The ending, while I felt like it was a bit rushed, really had me hooked. (That cliffhanger?!?!) I cannot wait to finish the trilogy. I have to know what happens next.

This one sucked me in! I miss this type of romantic suspense from Lisa. The way she writes sensuality that just oozes off the pages, especially how Dash and Allison first meet. Great cast that also rounded out Tyler and Bella. I can't wait to see what is next because this series MUST be read in order.

I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Deja vu story.
Feel like I'm reading the inside out series again from 10 years ago.
That series was great, but this does not feel original, more like using an old recipe and changing a few things.
Again someone ends up with something that was meant for someone else. The original person disappears.
The new person slots themselves into the other person's life.
Slightly different job, less aggressive male lead, same nosey female lead.

WHAT IF I NEVER is the first instalment in Lisa Renee Jones’ contemporary, adult NECKLACE erotic, romantic suspense trilogy. This is former FBI agent turned author Dash Black, and former editor turned museum cataloguer Allison Wright.

Told from first person perspective (Allison Wright) WHAT IF I NEVER follows Allison Wright as she endeavors to return a priceless diamond necklace to the intended recipient at Hawk Legal but Allison’s arrival at Hawk Legal finds our heroine facing reclusive billionaire Tyler Hawk, who offers Allison a temporary position organizing an upcoming charity auction, a position recently held by another Allison W. As our heroine enters into her temporary position, she will meet charismatic author Dash Black, the man with whom Allison will fall in love but all is not well between Dash and Tyler, and Allison becomes a pawn in a game of one-upmanship between the two men trying to control her life. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Dash and Allison, and the potential fall-out as Tyler struggles to accept Allison’s relationship with Dash Black, revealing there is more to Dash than Allison could have ever known.

Allison Wrights works for Riptide Auction House in New York, but with the approach of the Christmas Holidays Allison has asked for some time off to visit her ailing mother in Nashville, but when Tyler Hawk offers Allison a temporary position in the wake of the ‘disappearance’ of the person who formerly held the job, Allison is immediately suspicious and slowly begins to unravel the clues as to the who, what and why.

The relationship between Dash and Allison is one of immediate attraction but her temporary boss doesn’t want Allison ‘fraternizing’ with the clients both on and off the job. Warned away by both Dash and Tyler, Allison is torn between the man with whom she is falling in love, and completing a job for a man whose attitude leaves something to be desired. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate.

We are introduced to Tyler Hawk, and his father Jack; Allison’s mother Cassie and her step father Barry; Dash’s sister Bella, as well as several employees who work at Hawk Legal.

WHAT IF I NEVER is a story of secrets and lies, power and control; splintered friendships, and struggling relationships. The premise is intriguing and captivating, and definitely, as the author has said herself, in the same vein as her Inside Out Series; the characters are curious, secretive, charismatic and embattled; the romance is seductive and impassioned. WHAT IF I NEVER ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.

If you are a fan of this Author’s Inside Out Series then you definitely need to get this. A book that is full of suspense, intrigue, attraction, control, romance as well as sizzling passion that will keep you riveted until the very last page. This story unfolds quickly and flows effortlessly from the start. A strong plot, complex characters, with twists and turns that were exciting and unexpected. This author has the uncanny ability to outdo herself every single time she writes a new book. I love how she develops not only the story, but her characters. I love how real they feel, their hidden depths and flaws, and how they evolve as the story progresses.

Allison Wright is working at Nashville’s First Art Museum taking some time away from her dream career at the World-Renowned Ripetide Auction House so she can be there for her mother, after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. But after receiving a rather impressive package that was dropped off at the museum, she realizes that it was delivered to her by mistake. As she tries to deliver this to its’ rightful owner she soon finds herself with not only a new job, but with a sizzling attraction to a new man in her life.

Dash Black is a famous author, who is also an ex-FBI agent. He is immediately taken by Allison and the sizzling attraction between them that is hard to resist. But with his version of taking care of Allison meaning taking complete control of her, will she be able to give that to him? Or is he hiding a different side to him?

What a fantastic beginning to this series, making me question every single character and situation the whole way through. There were little hints along the way that built this story, so many little things that started to tick off this list of what and who was behind all of this. I spent most of the chapters keeping track of all the big and small clues…what is real, what is not. Coincidences are they real or are they staged? Now I need the next book in this series now!!

Voluntarily requested a early copy and this is my honest review.

"Things happen for a reason. People come together at the time when they are needed."

When Allison receieves a package that is meant for another Allison, she finds herself searching for the right owner. That path leads her to Allison's job that she left it out of nowhere. And somehow, now she is working her job and staying at her house. Her new boss is good looking, cold billionaire, the type of men she is running away from. But she is not going to turn down this big opportunity because of him. Her mother's sickness is getting out the worst out of her, and this job is the perfect solution. But her new boss is not the problem, the man she meets in the elevator is. He has business endeavor with her boss. Good looking, smart and funny, plus there's the spark between them that can light a whole city. But behind those pretty eyes there are dark secrets that threatens destroying her soft and broken heart. Trying to deal with this new situation she got herself into, one question never leaves her mind: What happened to the other Allison that made her leave all that luxury behind? What or who made her run away? She is looking for answers but as she searches deep into it, she is caught in a dangerous zone.

The beginning was little bit slow for me but after that I couldn't put the book down. It has a tension in the air throughout the whole story that makes you read more and more. It ends with a cliffhanger so I'm not sure if my predictions are true. This is the first book in The Necklace Trilogy and has a great start.

I love how the author introduces all the characters. My favorite is definitely Dash. I loved all the scenes with him. His backstory is emotional and heartwarming.

This is my first book from Lisa and I wasn't familiar with her style, but I'm really loving it so far. Such a smart idea for a book and clever plot twists. I really enjoyed reading this story and can't wait to read the next part.

What If I Never? is the first book of LRJ's newest series, Necklace Trilogy. And it starts with a bang. As always, with an LRJ story, I can never quite figure out who is good and who is terrible. All I know is that we have a mystery going on, two dark and handsome men, a missing woman, and Allison taking the place of another Allison.

Dash and Tyler have some history that I have yet to figure out. I can't tell if it is sexual or just a bad work relationship. I have no idea if Tyler is hot for this Allison, or is he weird because she is sleeping with Dash. And to top it off, whom the hell sent that dang necklace.

With all the questions being asked, you would think the story isn't strong, but that is what makes the story go. Allison is in the middle of two powerful men, Dash and Tyler. She seems to only have eyes for Dash but is working very closely with Tyler. Dash seems to have some kink and history with that kink that he is scared about. Allison is a strong character but is she strong enough to finish this story and find out who sent the necklace?

Needless, to say I absorbed this story in one sitting and can't wait for the next book!

This copy was approved and provided by NetGalley, all opinions and feedback are my own

I want to state that every review is mood based. Not every day is the same, and opinions of some things, can always change based on the mood we're in.

There may also be spoilers, so read at your own risk.

I sincerely don't know where to start with this book. I started it months ago, and i have been in a slump on / off so i do think it affects my opinion here. But the case is, i DNF'ed it multiple times while slumping, because this book, is very confusing for me.

It has multiple short chapters (67 total), and i think it is too much by the end of it, like some chapters are literally 1-2 pages in the beginning, but yeah i don't know how to write a book, i just found it weird.

There was a scene at some point that seemed to rushed and confusing into the mix of the book all of the sudden, and i still haven't figured out what happened, it was so random and fast paced for me between the two main characters -
there is also a smut scene where it goes from smut, to a 360* fight all of a sudden, i have not experienced this kind of thing myself, so i have a hard time picturing this type of thing being realistic.

and the weird mystery about this book, just seems like there is no red strings, and no progress at all, very unsure what this book is really about honestly, it goes back and forth with the end goal.

HUGE DISLIKE: The main characters uses her crushes FULL name and occupation every other sentence for the first half of the book, after that it is just the first name and uses it less frequently.

The book is also left on a weird huge cliffhanger, so let's see if you continue after this book, because i will not be doing that.

Power and money do not define a man, good or bad. But character does. And anyone with a good character knows that you can't buy love, not even with diamonds.

I'd like to think that love is priceless, but i've learned that when the very concept of love is subjective, os is the cost.

I LOVED this introduction to a new trilogy by our amazing author Lisa Renee Jones. It has Inside Out vibes ALL OVER THE PLACE. that series was based on a girl who found diaries of a woman who went missing, who worked at Riptide and we watched how all that unfolded throughout the extended series. This story is similar that it’s based on the discovery of an item that was meant for someone else, for a woman who’s gone missing, and we get more Riptide vibes throughout this as well.

We start off with Allison (Allie) Wright – our leading lady who works for Riptide in NYC, but who’s on leave right now in Nashville taking care of her mother who’s been fighting cancer. She’s in remission now, but Allie’s not ready to believe that things are better. Allie is working at a museum while she’s on leave and she receives a package one day that turns out to be this expensive necklace with the note ‘Forgive Me’ enclosed – leading her to believe that it’s from her father or her ex. Then she realizes that she’s not the intended Allison W to receive this and that instead it was supposed to go to the legal office of Hawk Legal down the street to an Allison W there. When she goes to return it, she learns that Allison has abruptly left work and no one knows where she is and when she’s coming back.

The story from here takes a similar mysterious tone but we are engrossed just the same.

Enter a few leading men into this story. Tyler Hawk, the partner that hires Allison to jump into Allison’s role to lead up an auction that was left in the lurch, ironically something that our Allie is able to do with skill and expertise. Tyler is just like Mark Compton, the owner of Riptide, so Allie’s able to handle him, but we get dark feelings about him. He’s got arrogance for sure but there’s something more, something darker underneath the surface with him that we haven’t quite gotten to yet.

Then there’s Dash Black – an incredibly successful author that Allie has actually edited before, but at the same time, a man who’s powerful, sexy and has something unknown about him as well. For this guy, we get Chris Merit vibes. Chris was the love interest from Inside Out – a wildly successful author who has his own dark past and history that took several books to uncover.

There’s chemistry between Allie and Dash and we see them dance around it for some time. He brings something out in her that she’s never allowed anyone to do – he makes her drop her walls, but likely because they know that there’s an expiration date since she’s going back to New York soon.

Tyler is a wild card – we don’t know his overt intentions but we can begin to see that there’s something more that he’s either hiding or is going to share with us soon. He has a connection to the missing Allison – and one that no one really speaks of, aside from Dash towards the end of this story. It’s not unexpected, but there’s more that even Tyler was unaware about and that’s what makes us wonder.

The heat and chemistry that Dash and Allie share at some point becomes to much to avoid and we watch how they explode together – there’s a connection that is so heated and powerful that you want to hope that they are salvation for one another. We know that Allie’s past is haunted – there are enough teases about that to gives us inclinations of what it could be but we’re never able to learn the truth. We know Dash has suffered his own share of despair and pain, death over and over again that he feels that he’s without salvation and redemption. There’s something about this unexpected pairing that makes you want to hope for the best, but we also know that they are likely self destructive so there’s really no hope …not yet.

We have a roller coaster that’s a mix of some of the sexiest scenes that we’ve read by our author in any books, and then there are the explosive fights that put us off one another completely. There’s anger and fear, and then there’s a cliff that we’re about to jump off. Dash goes to a fight club to work out his anger, Tyler brings Allie there to save him an it doesn’t work. She goes home (to the house that Tyler’s given her mind you) and while she’s there, in the wine cellar looking for something to soothe her broken heart, she realizes someone is in the house…and she has no signal to call 911. That’s where we are left off
