Adea isn’t interested in dating or finding her Goddess-chosen mate. She’s determined to ignore the nightmares that plague her sleep, keep her job at Half Moon pack, and live a peaceful life. When her best friend, Mavy begs her to go with her to Desert Moon to find her mate, she can’t say no.
What does Adea do when she’s the one to find her mate at the Crescent Moon Ball? Will she be able to figure out what her nightmares are trying to warn her about? When she pieces it all together can she change her fate?
This book is amazing it dark and twisted with a splash of crazy that you just want more. The writer is so so creative and talented. This book is exiting there is always something happening. The author is amazing she also very exciting about her book as her reader. This also make the experience of reading this book amazing. You will cry and laugh and feel emotions of love stubbornness and hate.
Well that was a bit dark and anexpected....ivreally hated the fmc, she just wanted everything, she wanted Ethan but she wanted Shane too, she made the most stupid decisions and used excuses like " I must do that to protect us, to protect Ethan, to protect my pack...She never took into consideration of her "mate" , she never trusted him , she wanted to be all jer, do whatever she wanted, she wanted to be all, the queen, the strong, the brave , the protector, the right one...she never even thought of sharing her ideas or plans with him...I hated her and I still do. the real victim was Ethan and Shane, for me the right end would be either they both die bc of her and make it known that she killed them both, or for her to die and never ever get another life and the chance to ruun Ethan's and Shane's again. she is poison, she is sickness she is the worst fmc ever read in my entire life. I loved all the other characters too much. I even loved the wich for crying out loud but not Her!
I read this book non stop because it is FILLED with action!! The multiple points of view were helpful, and I really liked JP Sina’s treatment of Adea’s trauma and the inner dialogue with her wolf. Shifter books often have this sense of fate and destiny and automatic acceptance when I comes to mates, but Adea’s trauma interferes with that, which is frustrating to her wolf.
This book is deliciously dark, and intense, so check your triggers, people.
My guilty pleasure. Fantasy romance. I honestly really liked the book. The author did a good job with really making the characters come to live and not just personalities but also looking at their psychological transformations. It's interesting to see someone go from one extreme to the other like in Olivia's case. The writer does a good job with capturing our inner emotions and how that leads to the decisions those people make. Already read it twice and reading the sequel.
Started out great, it really did, then it got a little slow and boring, then it got weird and strange like perhaps the author really didn't know where to go with this story next. I don't know, I just really struggled to finish this in the end and honestly only stuck round to see how/if Gabes relationship with the grumpy beta progressed, unfortunately we didn't see that close off and so far I haven't seen their story, though the author didn't note there would be one and I do want to read that. I think this could've been shorter with a lot less twists, the lead MC just kept doing stupid shit and it passed me off. Yea I'm 50/50 on this one hence the 3 stars.
Numerous grammar mistakes. Abrupt ending, story line makes no sense, so much left unexplained, feels unfinished. Don't bother unless you get this book for free. Wish I could get my time and money back. Just terrible.
This book changed my world. I have read it 2x already and it still lives in my head rent free. Amazing Story. Lots of spice, Dark Romance. All the bad and all the good! Read at your own risk.
This book kept me ON MY TOES the entire time. There were so many moments where I thought I had things figured out and then… nope!
Let’s talk about the boys.
Shane… buddy. I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU. 😭 And then you went and did some HEINOUS ACTS.
Don’t get me wrong… I understand the whole “you want your girl” thing. The burn the world down for her. The possessiveness? Hella hot.
But sir…You may have gone a LITTLE too cray. I will still hold out hope for you in book 2….
And then there’s… ETHAN.
WOWOWOW. Okay. WHAT A FERAL BEAST. 🐺
Ethan had me absolutely hooked. The whole combination of Alpha + wolf + possessive energy + MATE? Yeah. I see the appeal. 👀
Erebus?! The wolf within the man. He was intense. He doesn’t apologize for anything.
Also, the scent details throughout this book were EVERYTHING. I love when scent becomes part of the world building and the connection between characters.
And then we have…
SABINE 🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮
I’m not even going to pretend I was reasonable when she entered the scene. Or even when she left the scene.
I HAD MURDER IN MY HEART. 😂
The story kept throwing twists, questionable decisions, possessive behaviour, and “wait… WHAT?!” moments at me, and somehow I just kept turning the pages because I needed to know what was going to happen next. Thank you JP for entertaining my DMs during this turbulent time.
This was such a fun mix of dark romance and romantasy, and the whole fated-mates-with-a-twist situation has me VERY intrigued about where this series is going.
"This is who we are,” we said, our voice dropping low. “This is your mate—the monster who will never let you go.”
#TeamEthan
Hold onto your pants or skirts or panties ladies and gentlemen- we are in for a dark yet delightful, dreadful yet alluring wolf shifter romance that will make you question your wants and needs of some not so gentle- men who make you question your morals and make you say thankyou for that 😉
Now, this story follows Adea who is an orphan with no wolf (or so it seems) and she's tormented by the current Alpha heir in her pack- Shane. At a visit to another pack, she finds her fated mate, Ethan 🫠, who is EVERYTHING! He's domineering, he's slightly cruel, he's also passionate and protective. But the underlying question still remains- is he a good guy? Is he a villian? Who knows where the story is going or what's going to happen, or who Vera's choice may be...
Its a spicy book as well, don't think I have forgotten about that, we uncover some hidden secrets involving Adea and Shane, sinfully hidden, but Ethan himself even though he's human, and a wolf shifter, imagine a size difference so big to Adea, its worthy of being a trope even though not technically monster romance 😉.
Please always check your triggers, this series is bound to get darker as it goes along, so take care of yourselves, and feel free to pick a team. I'm over here hoping for a why choose in the end, but a girl could hope for 2 dangerous men to kneel at her feet.
First of all... the absolute AUDACITY of the dedication telling me I had to choose my villain... Adea would not be choosing both Shane and Ethan and living the why choose life so I was not allowed to have both either. Rude.
So naturally I fell hard and fast for the tortured villain who does unspeakable things to her and you can't convince me otherwise that he's perfect. I'm not budging. Team Shane all the way! I have chosen my hill to die on and I'm staying here.
Yes we have the (secretly handsome) Masked Mad King Ethan but I can't explain it, I got a bad vibe and i'm going to keep an eye on him. He has the balls to think he can beat a book boyfriend afterall.
I'm not sure if it's already a real genre, and if it is, i'm here for it, but I am dubbing this a 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘆. Because yes we get this amazing world of shifters, castles, deep lore and battles, but there isn't a single character who isn't dragged through hell and back. My heart bled for these characters and I am hoping and praying that when this series is done, they all come out safe and happy and whole (praying hands)
I also can't wait for Adea to come into her own. At the moment she is just trying to survive, but I have faith that she will soon thrive and be the badass I know is in her.
The Forbidden Alpha has been previously released, but this is the new and improved version that I am so glad was my introduction to this world. I have already read this a few times to really let it all sink in. I can't wait to see where this series goes.
I absolutely loved this book and it was a 5 star untill the dream where they switched up the true mates. Didn't like the witch concept or how they tried to turn Liv or Ethan into a villian.
I love Ethan and Adea's chemistry so darn hot. Ethan is perfection the fact he still chose Ady made me so happy. My gorgeous main man Ethan was the stronger and better man in every way. Just wish we got more in the end of the book to see them fall in love and experience that need and love again in the end. Their love was too hot. Adea was a strong good fighter wish she fought for Ethan more wish we got to see her in action defending him when he was down.
Also what happened with Gabe, Odis and Leo?
I hate Shane still. He is a controlling creep. He doesn't get a pass he was a great villain and wish he stayed that way and didn't get a true mate redemption arc.
All in all, the author did an incredible job it was hot, twisted, emotional and everything you want in hot alpha book... untill the true mate switch it was an absolute favourite.
Always #TeamEthan that man lives rent free in my head forever! Thank you author for giving me my fantasy crush! Worth every penny for those Ethan and Adea moments.
I NEED MORE PLEASE! If another book is coming out with Ethan in I must have it!

I thoroughly loved this book. The main female protagonist is exceptionally well-rounded, and her journey is paced so brilliantly that I found myself reading straight through the night into the early morning. Adea is a wolfless member of the Half Moon Pack, reduced to serving those around her. Though the Alpha, Jaxon, took her in as an orphaned child out of apparent "mercy," the gesture always felt surface-level. It felt less about compassion and more about image. Then there is the Alpha's son, Shane. A textbook narcissist who treats Adea as his personal property rather than a human being. Adea’s only real ally is her sidekick, Gabe. While I loved their dynamic, I felt like he could have done better by her. With the suffocating toxicity they were both trying to survive, I do understand he did his best. Everything changes when they travel to the Desert Moon pack for the annual mating festival. Incredibly, Adea discovers her fated mate, the king, Ethan. Their bond is a catalyst to a series of events that only lead to death and heartache. While Ethan and Adea navigate their unique, they both stumble, but seem to always land together, a united front. With things ending on an earthquake or a cliffhanger I see this series being an intense, addictive read.
WOW, this book was incredible! 😭 It hooked me immediately, I legitimately could not put it down. J.P. Sina has a way with words that cuts right to your core.
This book is dark, twisted and just the right amount of crazy! This read is emotional and thoughtful, and brings you along a path of pain, heartache, regret, sorrow, love, joy, and happy endings. It's truly lovely for a darker book! Now, this is a dark book so check the triggers before you go in. Fortunately for me, I have none 😂 and this book was incredible! It got me in my feels, had me in tears and made me laugh. I connected to the characters in a way I didn't think I would, and I appreciate that level of writing skill so much!
My heart broke for our FMC, Adea many times through this book, but also warmed my heart SO much! And omg wait until you meet her bestie Gabe! I love that boy so much. 🥰 And we must take a moment for the SPICE! 🥵 Whewie, the spice written here is for us girlies for sure! 🙌🏻
This is a must read if you like dark romance, shifting werewolves and spice! Highly recommend (anything by J.P. Sina, really) but definitely add this to your TBR!
Listening (mostly) and reading on the Lovella app. The app is too expensive and I don't recommend it although the AI audio narration isn't too bad. It's important to remember that AI narration is only as good as the writing and layout of the book. If the book is riddled with bad grammar and inappropriate line breaks you will hear it in the narration.
I'm at "episode" 148 out of 340. These aren't chapters. They are too short to be chapters and because the app wants to either charge you or serve you ads at the change of every episode or chapter you can expect 3 to 5 "episodes" per chapter.
This is one of those romance series that is mostly porn, and this one is very rape-y. If you're into non-con you might like it but I'm fast forwarding a lot because the quantity of smut is way outside my tolerance range. I like a good one-handed read as much as anyone but this is too much to hold my attention. It's a trilogy but I'm not sure I will bother with the others.
This book was truly exceptional. I read it on the Moonlit App and sincerely hope your novels will eventually be available on Audible as well, they deserve to reach an even wider audience.
The story was an exhilarating journey from beginning to end, filled with compelling, magnetic characters. Ethan, in particular, left a lasting impression on me. He embodies the strength and confidence of an alpha character, yet his depth of love and devotion made him profoundly moving. The past life element added such a unique and emotionally resonant layer to the narrative. It was both beautifully original and heartbreakingly poignant, and it stayed with me long after I finished reading. I’m very much looking forward to the second book, though I may need a brief pause before diving in as I suspect I’ll still be longing for Ethan and hoping for his happiness in every possible universe. Thank you for such an unforgettable reading experience. I truly loved it.
This book is very, very good! I suggest you definitely read it! The twists and turns and the big shock at the end I did not see coming. My heart is broken, I'm devastated but I can also understand that not all books have happy endings.
I do not like how this book ended. It could have ended happy for all parties involved but it wasn't to be. Like I said, not all books can have the romantic happy ending. Although Alpha Shane, starts off as the villain, my heart shattered for him by the end - he was just looking for his Luna, for many lifetimes! And she chose someone else AGAIN!
Great book and wonderfully written, now off the read Alpha Shane, I'd love to read a book about Gabe and Odis also. Read this book!

I was quickly intrigued and wanted to know what was going to happen next, I didn't want to put it down
Adea a wolfless orphan, was taken in by a Alpha. She helped repay his generosity by cleaning, cooking and he left her go to the local school with his kids.
Mavy and Shane the alphas kids are spoilt and entitled, with Alpha blood they have the power to back them up
Mavy is almost like a sister to Adea, but Shane is not very brotherly
With a mating festival coming up everything changes and it is heartbreaking and awesome at the same time.
I can't wait for book 2, I am hooked with revelations still to come, this is going to be exciting
As always with the books I read, check your triggers if you have any ❤️ This has many triggers and is in pitch black territory
Adea is a fighter. For what she went through and all the bulling she endured, weaker people would have crumbled but not Adea. She had to be broken to rise again stronger.
Where the two guys are concerned, Shane and Ethan, it was not a contest in my mind, who the winner is. For me it is Ethan. Shane and Ethan are completely different as well as the spice level.
Ooh, I really enjoyed this book. What a first book too. If you are a fan of romantasy books, you will want to add this book to your tbr pile. The storyline is rich and the characters are ones that you will hate and love. Looking forward to continuing this series.
Ok it’s hard to give a review without giving away all the different plot twists and turns. My emotions towards the characters was all over the place. Throughout most of the book I absolutely hated Shane. Once the dreams were explained and other parts of Shane’s life come to ur attention, I became team Shane. But then there was Ethan and while in a lot of reviews people are against Adea, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. I couldn’t imagine getting visions of the future and past and trying to make sense of it all.
Can’t wait to read the other books by JP Sina related to this story.
I read some of this on Dreame and borrowed the original paperback special edition. What a wild ride! I thought the middle was kinda slow but I enjoyed the set up and the end was absolutely insane. Adea’s questionable decision making had me on the edge of my seat. I didn’t know whose side I was on. Such a unique story line. I know Goodreads says this isn’t released yet and I think that’s because the author is coming out with a second edition. Definitely looking forward to reading that and the next book in the series!
A better version of the werewolf stories with a mate marriage thats hell on the heart. Orphaned as a child Adea no longer with a pack or wolf gets taken in.An alpha brings her into his pack. I absolutely thought Shane was gonna be the mmc but im so glad he wasnt. Ethan as the alpha who ends up saving her life one night brings chaos and an intense bond to there world. JP absolutely knows what shes doing when it comes to building a fantasy world, writing emotionally deep characters and some great spicy scenes.
