신선하고 흥미로운 소재라면 어디든 달려가는 만년 동화 작가 지망생 제인. 여느 때와 같이 소재를 찾아 헤매던 어느 날, 제인에게 시체처럼 창백한 얼굴에 몸에는 상처가 가득한 한 수상한 남자가 찾아온다. ‘제인 레이나’라는 자신의 이름과 주소만이 적힌 쪽지를 들고 찾아온 이 남자가 흥미로운 소재가 될 것이라는 걸 즉시 실감한 제인은, 추운 겨울이 끝날 때까지 자신의 집에서 함께 지낼 것을 ‘만들어진 남자’에게 제안한다. 오래전 연금술사에인 주인에게 만들어졌다는 남자는 ‘살아있다’는 것이 무엇인지 제인에게 받아들이는 것을 조건으로 제인의 집에서 머물며 자신의 이야기를 들려주기로 하는데…. 이름이란 것을 가져본 적이 없고, 어떤 감정도 느끼지 못했던 남자. 제인은 창백한 피부에 파란 눈을 가진 남자에게 ‘윈터우즈’라는 이름을 지어주고, 윈터의 이야기에 귀를 기울이기 시작한다.

Lo arranqué sin saber de qué iba así que me sorprendí mucho cuando resultó ser una onda Frankestein xd pero igual estuvo bien. El dibujo no me terminó de convencer, y le habría sacado mínimo unos 40 capítulos. Además ese final… top 3 finales más apresurados que leí en mis 25 años. Pero igual con todas esas cosas negativas, la historia te atrapa porque Winter es un bebe hermoso y Jane una idola, así que se disfrutó <3

Winter Woods touched my heart in ways no other webtoon ever has.
This isn’t just a story about a man who’s not neither alive nor dead. It’s a letter to anyone who’s ever felt incomplete or felt like they were a mistake.

The art was not my cup of tea in the beginning (yes, even though I love Van Ji's art), I came to like it. The expressive and cute facial expressions capture raw emotions so vividly, and the occasional comedy gives readers much-needed relief amid the deeper themes.

I still have questions about Sarah and what will happen to her in the future, but overall, everyone got the best ending they could have based on their choices and growth.

Winter Woods is now my comfort read. I’ll come back to it when I need to remember that we all are a work in progress and that growth is born from imperfection.

Highly highly recommended for anyone who loves emotional storytelling full of life's invaluable lessons.

This was one of my first exposures to this genre, and I was HOOKED. The humor and entire premise felt so unique. However, it was so well written I somehow could imagine myself in the story. Despite the unique situations the characters found themselves in.

I really appreciated the way the author gave us multiple really well fleshed out characters that went through a lot of growth.

I think you will like this the most if you enjoy romance, but there were also some thrilling aspects to it!

First time ever I came across a manhwa of this genre. IT WAS SO CUTE (Alhtough I didn't expect it to be when I read the 1st chapter). The storyline is unique, but there were a lot of loose ties and unanswered questions in the end that I feel like the author just ended it without much thought. But this was their 1st story, and it was quite good.

A beautifully illustrated webcomic with a charming story and engaging characters. The pacing is steady, and the fantasy elements add a nice touch.
