Humbled on Christmas Day isn’t A cute little Christmas story. It’s a Spin-off from the best-selling series, Humbled by a Real N*gga, and if you’ve read it, you know how that story went. This Book is based around the holidays, but that’s just it! The original Characters make an appearance or two, but this is not their Book! This Book is Daylani's (the wedding planner) and Rut’s (Lita’s side boo, ex boo, or whatever you want to call him) story. Putting it simply, the n*gga’s are gangstas. Periodt.

This book irratied my soul. The girl was so dumb u couldn't possibly have a chick this dumb in a book. What got me was the end. U shouldn't even have wrote this book. U took ³ hours out of my life that i can't get back for reading this crap

This was a pretty good read and a nice little spin off of "Humbled By A Real N*gga" I like being able to look at the life of Rut and bringing in past characters at the right time... This book had a nice quick flow to it and pulls you in just enough to keep you reading....
I liked Rut... He is overall a good guy... He just needed a real woman by his side... and that is where Daylani came in... she was such a good woman with a good head on her shoulders... She just had a horrible past with a very abusive ex... This kept her kind of sheltered...
Once these two crossed paths again, it was like nothing could keep them apart... The chemistry was so strong no matter what they did, they could not fight it... But little did she realize how much that little past they had that she does not even remember would effect her future...
Then we had Dasani which is Daylani's sister... This girl right here is a very wild mouthy one... She is funny to me... But one thing she let be known and that is that she does not play when it comes to her sister... And she definitely proved herself when it came to her sisters ex boyfriend...
Ize is the best friend of Rut... They met back in his prison days... He is also a very wild one and thinks the world should bow down at his feet because he is the DON as he says... But when he came across Dasani he definitely met his match... And to watch how these two interacted was so funny... But also with them that chemistry just kept pulling them together... Now this...
How will the future of these 4 characters play out... I guess we will have to see if they will have their own little spin off because this was a very short Christmas read and gave me just enough to grab my attention and have me wanting more... So let's see what the future holds for them...

I didn’t realize this was a spin-off from another series, so now I definitely need to go back and read those books but overall, I loved this novella. It was a quick, easy read with a storyline that pulled me in right away.
The dynamic between the sisters was one of my favorite parts. You can feel the love and loyalty they have for each other, and they weren’t letting anything slide when it came to protecting one another.
Rut and Daylani were everything. From the moment he saw her again at the game, he stepped up like he’d been waiting on that moment. Their connection felt real and natural, and the twist in the story made their ending even sweeter.
Christmas Day came with everybody getting hit with some news, and I actually loved that it kept things interesting and set up the bigger picture perfectly.
Overall, this was a great novella. I enjoyed it from start to finish, and now I’m excited to read the full series before and after this one so I can really understand the characters and their journeys.

Great Read
I laughed at Dasani and Ize because the both of their mouth was reckless. I knew there was an attraction between the two. It was good to see Cartier, Diorsey, Saije, Holden, Don, Gab, Aurora, Ivoree, and even Doe crazy ass make an appearance in the book. Doe would be the one to point out that he knew something that had slipped Daylani mind. When Daylani admitted to being pregnant. I was a little shocked at how she thought it happened and the fact she didn't remember her and Rut. Joseph constantly stalking Daylani and threatened Rut freedom didn't work out well for him. Daylani couldn't enjoy her pregnancy because her mind was scared of the unknown until Rut told her the truth.

3.5⭐️ The book overall was good it just bothered me that there were so many grammatical errors!enough about the negative here are my positive thoughts though. I loved how close the sisters are , and even how close rut and ole dude was because they weren’t blood but respected each other like brothers. rut and day were a cute little couple but dasani and ole dude kind of pissed me smooth off. having sex without a condom is disrespectful and could’ve definitely ended badly. anyhow i love the christmas time story and would love to read more books in the series. you just gotta work on the grammar sis.

Ize, that was a foul, foul, foul move…swimmers entrapment😮🥴🤨🤭‼️”Humbled On Christmas Day: Lani & Rut” was a confusing yet intriguing read. Now though I know why I was so darn lost during this novella 🤦🏾♀️. Honestly, I didn’t know there was/is a “Humble” series prior to read this book. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have indulged in a preexisting storyline. Clearly there’s a lot more to these characters than this novella can provide. Nonetheless, I’m sold, humbled, confused & equally intrigued. I’ll circle back to this book in a few days.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was to short I need more on Lani and Rut I'm glad she finally remember him and to know he knew that was his baby all the time. I'm glad Joseph got his karma. I don't know what Dasani gonna do with Ize because I know her hands about to be full for the next eighteen years lol. Now the kicker is Don about to be a daddy. Can't wait for 2022 so I can read about these characters again. Awesome job.

It was so good seeing how great the sisters loved one another, no jealousy, envy or mistrust. Lani had so much going on that she thought she could never be happy. So glad she unexpectedly got q great gift that she never knew. Now she can and will be happy and whole.
Dasani, has met her match, now let's see how much fun these two are going to have. It is gonna be a crazy ride but good for Dasani and Ize in the end. Great Read🥰🥰🥰🥰

Rut don’t play!
I love a good messy hood romance. Lani is reeling trying to come to turns with being pregnant and not recalling how she got there. Her only theory is her ex had to have raped her. Although, she’s really pregnant by Rut. So running into him starts drama from the get. Factor in Ize and Dasani both just got out of jail and happen to be at war with each other. This crew is so crazy.

Stealthing happened and I was not a fan of that. This is a dark romance.
The story was a nice short read. Some things could have been fleshed out more for me, but there were only 90 pages and 4 characters.
The story kept me interested and I enjoyed it even with the moments that pissed me off because there were horrible decisions made. Maybe that was my issue because at no moment was I told that Ize is a nice guy.
I really loved the relationship and love of Dasani and Daylani.

I throughly enjoyed this book. Nice way to end this series. It gave everything it was supposed to give & more. We caught up with the gang, and was introduced to some new couples. Rut & Daylani made such a sweet couple. Ize & Dasani we’re toxic, but perfect for each other. I can’t wait to get to know the new additions to the crew.

Can't wait until the next books comes out. The Humble series is always fun and laughter. Yeah adding the Don to the mix just made it more laughter especially since he trapped Sani. It's nice to see everyone in good health and still loven' each other. As always Lisa pen game is Humbled.

I love me a hood book and so impressed that it could be compressed into a novella so well without too many questions remaining unturned. I can’t wait to see how everything turns out especially with Dasani and Ize crazy selves. I loved their hood chemistry and Dasani’s smart mouth. I’ll definitely be on the lookout

I’ve missed the crew
This was an amazing story. I’m glad to see Ms. Lisa keeping the stories going. It’s wonderful knowing the crew is still together with more to add. Of course I want to see how the sisters lives are changed by the men that are the fathers to their children. I can’t wait for the next stories.
