I wanted to like it because many have wholeheartedly recommended it for its fresh and authentic writing. But this didn't work for me. It felt like a work of carefully curated authenticity. It has some beautifully chiselled sentences to evoke certain emotions and paint some fantastic portraits. I would have enjoyed it a lot in a work of fiction. But it was tough for me to appreciate it as a memoir. Give it a try, YMVV.
