Night of Vulnerability
During the new moon, when Inuyasha is in his fully human form and most vulnerable, Kaijinbo attacks under the control of the sword Tokijin. Despite the group's efforts, including Miroku splitting Kaijinbo's head, the body continues to fight. Toto-sai arrives with the reforged Tetsusaiga, but Inuyasha, unable to harness its full power, struggles against the formidable Tokijin.
Testing Limits
As Tetsusaiga and Tokijin clash, Kaijinbo's body disintegrates, revealing Inuyasha's need to build strength to wield his sword properly. Sesshomaru, seizing Tokijin, tests Inuyasha, forcing him into his berserker full-demon mode. Toto-sai intervenes, allowing the group to escape with Inuyasha and repairs Sango's boomerang. The group convinces Inuyasha to keep Tetsusaiga with him at all times to prevent his dangerous transformations.
New Threats
Naraku introduces new detachments, Juromaru and Kageromaru. Juromaru, partially bound, engages Koga and eventually crosses paths with Inuyasha's group. Once freed, Juromaru destroys Naraku's surrogate puppet. Kageromaru, emerging from Juromaru's gut, joins the fight with incredible speed, injuring Inuyasha. As Kageromaru threatens Kagome, Inuyasha regains consciousness and re-enters the fray, driven to protect her.
