It's all coming to an end this year, one way or another...

It's Mal's final year at Legend Valley Academy, and the only thing she's worried about is finding her dad. She needs him to come out of hiding and prove to the world that he wasn't a screwup.

Everything else can take a back seat.

Including Korou, her ex-boyfriend, who she had to dump in order to save her best friend.

Because she's moved on. Totally.

And then Mal learns that there's a mole at the Academy...a shapeshifter who can hide in plain sight.

When the Cult finally sets its endgame into motion, it's up to Mal and her friends to save the Academy - and maybe even the world.

When I started to read this I hadn't read the first two books, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this novel. I really enjoyed reading this and found that while I missed out on some scenes, that might have been better understood had I read the first two, it wasn't as bad as some might think. I will however be going back and to read and check them out cause I know there are scenes that I would like to know more about what made it happen.

Enjoyable read filled with a lot of great magical scenes that I thoroughly enjoyed. You really get a feel for the characters, even without the backstories that would have been in the first two. Author does a great job giving the characters personalities and helps you get into the novel.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I feel like it's biggest strength comes from the use of mythological creatures from all cultures. That aspect remained horribly interesting throughout the series. Korou and Mal's relationship felt genuine throughout and I would love to see their continuing adventures together.

A fitting end to this series. A fast paced page turned that is impossible to put down. The characters are great, well written with the typical YA issues. The slow burn romance comes to a head. Loved the climax, a little short perhaps but the taster for the new series looks great. An author to look for if you want an inventive well told story. I received a complimentary copy from the Author and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

The last book in the series.
A very engaging story.
Great characters and a good romance.
The ending was also good and certainly not disappointing.
A book to put on your must read list.

Series Review, since I read the boxset in one go while traveling.

I really enjoyed this trilogy - Kuruganti did a good job of creating a flawed, yet compelling, main character with likable friends and a cute love interest. It was a nice mix of the usual "something outside the academy is going down" trope and "academy classes, love, etc" so I liked that. Sometimes academy books lean way too much into the former part for my tastes and forget about the classes and day to day drama.

Something else I appreciated: The cast is very diverse and each of the characters feels unique and real, despite the fantasy setting. I quite like Mal's grandfather in particular! And Mal herself feels quite compelling simply because she sounds and acts like a teenager (flaws included, haha).

If I have any complaints:

Overall, though, this was a solid academy trilogy, free of some of the issues that usually mark the subgenre. Check it out! 4 stars.

I loved it!

Magic, romance, family, friendship, bravery to never give up and stand up for yourself and those you care about, grief, and so much more embodies this final book in this epic story adventure. This book will touch your feels in a mega way, one part even made me literally cry. I finished it all one sitting for I couldn’t put it down so anxious to find out how it all ends and it didn’t disappoint.

It's all coming to an end this year, one way or another...this is the third novel in the triology
It's Mal's final year at Legend Valley Academy, and the only thing on her mind is finding her dad. She needs him to come out of hiding to stand up for her and her family – that is the only thing that matters to her nothing else. She gave up her boyfriend, she gave up everything to prove that her family is worthy and then she discovers there is a double agent, a shapeshifter – who can turn into anything he wants, he can hide in plain sight. An agent of the Cult. Now the Cult has put its end game in action to destroy the Academy. Mal and her friends have to stand up and give their all, even their lives if that is what it takes to save the Academy to safe the world. This was an engaging novel that will keep you engaged from the beginning to the last. Sudha Kurugant is one of the leading authors in this thrilling multicultural series. I recommend that you read the novels in order. I received this novel from Story Origin and this is my true and honest review

I really enjoyed this Trilogy It was different to most Magical School books as it took on board Diversity and Race Issues, It follows Malaika, an Indian-American whose father left when she was a baby, unaware of her magical heritage until a local Sheriff who happens to be Supernatural himself sees her using illusion magic and introduces her to a whole different world.
Where she finds best friend Nik and Leela and romance with Naga Prince Korou
The world of Legends Valley is refreshing and different. It’s much more diverse than other magical school series, challenging assumptions about certain creatures being good or evil by default
many of the students want to live in the human and go into non-magical professions once they graduate
I’d happily read more books both in this series or from the Author

Righteous (Legend Valley Academy#3) by Sudha Kuruganti, that I received through StoryOrigin is the final book in the series. It is Mal's final year and the only thing she is worried about is finding her dad, and then she learns there is a mole at the Academy... a shapeshifter who can hide in plain sight. When the Cult finally sets its endgame into motion, it is up to Mal and her friends to save the Academy- and maybe even the world. Righteous is a diverse fantasy featuring strong heroines, unusual shifters, myths and legends, and story twists. I enjoyed reading this and the rest of the series. This book, along with others in the series that I recommend, is available on Amazon.

So many things went wrong for Mal in this book that I wasn't sure how she could pull through, but she saved the day in her own way. A satisfying ending for the series.
