Hazrat Amman Jan – An Inspiration for Us All
A tribute to Hazrat Sayyedah Nusrat Jahan Begum(ra), the wife of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as), The Promised Messiah.
This book is a tribute to Hazrat Sayyedah Nusrat Jahan Begum(ra). She was an inspirational and devout lady who had the special and exalted honour of being the wife of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as), the Promised Messiah and Mahdi awaited by many religions, and the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The literal meaning of her birth name “Nusrat Jahan” which was “Helper of the World”, was to be a Divine intimation of the profound impact this pious lady would have world-wide. A devoted and loyal life-companion of the Promised Messiah(as), she was also a loving mother, a carer of orphans and a guardian of the sick. Fondly regarded as “Hazrat Amman Jan”, she was also a spiritual mother and source of Islamic knowledge to thousands of ladies of the Community. She also enjoys the exalted status of being the source of a blessed line of four of the Khulafa (spiritual successors), of the Ahmadiyya Community to date.
Her depth of faith and conduct were exemplary. Throughout a spectrum of trials such as the loss of children, religious opposition, financial hardships and political unrest, she displayed remarkable fortitude. This book presents an insight into the key events and character of this great Ahmadi role model.
