She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

2 Not So Christmasy Stars

If I had one word about this story it would be: NO

I'll begin from something that annoyed me outside of the book.

^This is not a size 18 woman, she's just a woman with big breasts and an atletic but not stick-thin body. This is a size 18 woman...

If you don't want to put a model that would look even remotely like the book's heroine on the cover, don't put one at all. There are always great artistic pictures of BDSM equipment that make for awesome covers. Would I have ignored this if I liked the book? Yes, but I didn't.

At the beginning of the book I was sooo happy. The first scene is one of Jillian with her crazy, selfish, air headed sister discussing how Sabrina hired a company to kidnap her for a weekend of BDSM play. It was fun and humorous and I thought the rest of the book would follow suit. Yeah, that didn't happen.

Jillian is supposed to be the level headed, sane sister. So when a guy that looks like a thug(a guy she thought looked like a serial killer in his black van) kidnapps her, she should have put up a fight, even if she knew it was staged. A sane woman DOES NOT HIGHJACK AN INSANE WOMAN'S BDSM FANTASY. She put up a minor fight for about 5 minutes and then just decided to go with the flow, despite not knowing her sister's safe word or what her sister had put in the fantasy application. What if her sister wanted to whipped? Or gang-banged? Or something equally extreme? Her sister is famous for her bad decisions.

Still, I knew that this would happen going in, I didn't expect it quite that bad but I knew so I shouldn't complain but I just can't. The dialogs between the hero and the heroine were so corny I wanted to kill them and the BDSM play was in no way enough to negate the fact that Jillian thought of Kyle as "her master" ten minutes after meeting him. And that there was way too much use of the words pussy, master, submit, and the phrase "Be a good girl" or "haven't been a good girl". It was like someone took a few words they knew would be used in a BDSM environment and used them again and again.

Aly told me that I should be more lenient because the book came out in 2008, I guess she means because it came out before BDSM became a trend BUT Club Shadowlands came out only a few months later and it was nowhere near as cheesy as this one.

Okay, I'll say it: there was nothing remotely believable in this story, but I liked it. A lot. Yes, I did!

Kyle was yummy, Jillian was very likable and the BDSM play was sexy and as light as a feather... Well, maybe not that light, but there was no humiliation, no torture, no unbearable pain and no heavy spanking with whips, riding crops or paddles. *shudders* Plus, Kyle was a responsible Dom, always attentive to Jillian's reactions to what he did. Jillian never felt unsafe in his hands, and that's what allowed me to relax and enjoy the "show". ;)

The only thing that bothered me was the Big Misunderstanding near the end of the story. Big Misunderstandings are usually designed to create conflict between the H/h and pave the way for the Great Epiphany that makes the H/h realize they are in love. That plot device was completely unnecessary in this story, IMHO. When the Big Mis was thrown into the story, Kyle and Jillian were already ready to take things further and start a relationship, so the conflict only served to annoy me. Ms. Anderson should have used those pages to give us more smut, LOL.

Overall, this was a very fun and hot read. I wouldn't mind being 'napped by Kyle. *lusty grin*

And just so you know:
Ouch

This was a pretty good holiday read. Interesting concept of a mistaken identity in a planned kidnap senerio.

This is one of those reads where I had to suspend reality quite a bit. He mistook size 18 sis for size 3 sis? Um...okay.

They fall in love over one day of beatings and sex? eh...I'll let it go.

The whole mistaken identity doesn't get resolved until 3 weeks after the fact? well I guess at this point this book could have taken place on Mars.

But at the core of this book, is some smokin' writing, and a connection between two people, which in a shorter read like this is all you can really ask for. The book moved fast for me, and I was interested the whole way through.

I was only meh about the ending. For me...a belt across the ass is not the "I love you" I'd have been waiting for, but hey, that's just personal preference. I also thought the DOM could have asked a couple of questions, rather than dumping his sub off and running, but again, that's a personal preference not a reflection of the writing.

Good story. 3.5 stars.

Light, fun, sexy and perfect for the holidays.

KIDNAPPED FOR CHRISTMAS is a treat as sweet as gingerbread cookies at Christmas. Don't expect anything profound or deep. This is a tale of undeniable chemistry and self-discovery as two perfect matches find their round-about way to each other.

Jillian looks identical to her sister, Sabrina, who is a year younger and much flightier. In typical impulsive fashion, Sabrina has bought and paid for a BDSM kidnapping fantasy for herself, contrary to Jillian's warnings of concern. Then she sails off to Key West with her new boyfriend, leaving Jillian to care for the cat and her apartment.

Walking out of Sabrina's apartment, Jillian is mistaken for her sister, gagged, blindfolded and taken to the BDSM dungeon to live out Sabrina's fantasy. Unable to explain through the gag, Jillian ends up finding herself curious and turned on by not only the BDSM but the enigma mastering her body. When the gag does come off, she not only doesn't know the safe word to stop the fantasy, she is unwilling to call it quits before her curiosity is satisfied.

Kyle reluctantly agreed to stand in for the first time for his brother who owns the new kidnapping company, only because he finds the client exactly to his taste. As the fantasy plays out, Kyle has a difficult time abiding by the rules of the company. His attraction to Jillian and her responsiveness to him is just too powerful.

I enjoyed Jillian's journey of self-discovery and found myself wincing each time the poor girl was pushed farther, thanks to her sister's fantasy request. It was quick, tantalizing and cute (if you can describe BDSM as cute). The whole thing was just a naughty little holiday break that will leave you twitching in your airline seat on the way home for the holidays. Enjoy!

My review contains spoilers and they're mostly my thoughts as I went with the book...

Really, when was the last time I rated a book 2 stars? Hm... maybe last year. I like to believe that I’m quite liberal when it comes to rating a book. I try to think hard before I rate one, be rational/reasonable because love it or hate it, I respect an author for his/her work. But this book? I didn’t have to do a lot of thinking, at all. It was so full of moronic activities by the H and h (and h’s super moronic, insensitive and self-centered younger sister) that the whole read for me was a big eye role and a waste of time. Even hot sex couldn’t save this one for me. I’m just glad it was a short story and took me a few hours to finish. I’m sorry but this review is probably going to be a rant more than a review.

I already said what kind of a sister Jillian’s younger sister Sabrina is, the most irresponsible too. Jillian is the one always wiping her butt... er, sorry, I meant cleaning up the mess she leaves after her every misadventure (don’t make me mention those, as those are beyond stupid). Her recent adventure is about being kidnapped! That’s right, a local BDSM club offers personalized kidnapping for women who want it and make their fantasies come true. Of course, now Sabrina has to give it a try, even if it means cutting off her father’s Christmas present money. What a nice thing to do for your parents! Jillian, even though she doesn’t agree with Sabrina’s stupidities and kinda tired of cleaning after her, she never really speaks out as well which made me a bit mad. Why let her have her way when you know where that’ll lead to? Anyway, Jillian dislikes the brief description Sabrina gives her about the company We Kidnap U but she gives into her wheedling and puppy dog eyes. After all, she’s the eldest sister indulging the youngest. Sabrina is a size 3 with a bony body while Jillian is not so bony... a size 18 exactly. But still, they look alike and people mistake them for each-other; even though they aren’t twins, they don’t have the same body type. Really? REALLY? I’d like to know the recipe of this, with which I can make my curvy body look like my bony cousin. Right!

Anyway, of course, Sabrina, being the ninny hammer she is (with the attention span of a 2 yrs. old) soon changes her mind as she’s ‘found the love of her life’ in some random guy she met in her workplace. So she’s off to some place to have a romantic weekend. At midnight, she calls Jillian who was sound asleep, asking her if she woke her up. *blinks* She then proceeds to give Jillian a lengthy detail of her ‘newfound love’ and then asks Jillian to take care of her mother’s old cat while she’s away. FYI: Sabrina took the responsibility of looking after the cat which is riddled with old age complications when her mother went to visit their grandmother for Christmas. I think you get the picture here. Jillian agrees, as usual. (Can you feel my respect of Jillian going down notch by notch?) Later in the week, Jillian stops by to look after the cat, Buster and feeds him tuna, meds etc. She’s happy that Sabrina has called off this crazy ‘napping thing (she told Jillian she’d call them ASAP to let them know about it... I don’t think I have to elaborate that she didn’t) but she can’t help but look through the brochure in Sabrina’s home. Jillian is quite turned on by the visuals the words of the brochure bring to her. When she’s out of the apartment, she sees this black car waiting outside with a big, muscular man sitting in it. She was still thinking of the BDSM things as she was making her way to her car when suddenly someone grabs her from behind, saying ‘Your fantasy has just began’. Oh goody!

Kyle’s younger brother Adam runs We Kidnap U. He’s a dom, as Kyle himself is. Though Adam loves his job, Kyle is more of a private person and doesn’t care to let his dom side out of the bedroom. Since I don’t know much about this lifestyle, I thought if you’re in a lifestyle like this, you definitely have a sexual relationship with your sub, other than the usual BDSM play. Here, I read that even though some doms do this, Kyle puts a line into it and never has sex with his subs. But the other vanilla style relationship doesn’t excite him so he’s kinda floating around at the moment, waiting for the right woman who’d be the both for him. Adam is going off to some convention and now wheedling Kyle to fill in for him for this one client. Kyle won’t at first, but as he sees Sabrina’s photo, he becomes weak. Even though the girl is a bit too bony for his choice, she’s still pretty so what the hell! Adam is off with a few basic rules, such as no penetration sex and no dating the clients/getting closer personally etc. Then, Kyle waits for Sabrina outside her apartment and mistakes the size 18 Jillian with size 3 Sabrina. He keeps on thinking that she’s Sabrina through the whole BDSM fantasy thing they played.

At first, I wasn’t mad at Jillian because she was gagged and remained that way for a long time. Kyle just ‘assumed’ she loves all the rough handling he’s doing to her since that’s what she’s written in her contract form. Kyle kept assuming things for a long time, almost in everything he did to her without taking off her gags, which include touching her everywhere, in every way possible, giving her a bath and orgasms etc. 1st few of their encounters happened when Jillian was still gagged. I was hoping the moment the gag’s off (it has to at some point) she’d fess up. But NO! She’s already falling into the allure of her Master. WTF? It didn’t matter that the said Master thinks she’s her sister. I DIDN’T like it. So she doesn’t fess up, lets Kyle do things to her (Sabrina’s fantasies mind you, not hers). They talk about their lives afterwards. Jillian talks about her ex-fiancé Boring Barry. Don’t look at me, this is exactly what she called him. So tell me Jillian, if he was soooooooo boring, why the f*ck did you go all the way with him, even got engaged? And now you (and Sabrina too) keep on calling him Boring Barry. Whatever the man was, I didn’t think he was an evil person who did something drastic to deserve this. It was so mean that I was this close to slapping both sisters. Kyle talks a bit about his dom streak and his relationship with his subs and so on. Of course, Kyle breaks the rules because he was already feeling this ‘Sabrina Marks’ is the one he’s been looking for. So, when Jillian asks for sex over and over again, he caves in. They had great sex and stuff and spend the whole night together.

The next day, Jillian wakes up. They were about to make love again when suddenly Jillian remembers about... hold on to your seats, yes that’s right, Buster! She was soooo full of Buster’s thought (and not knowing this was the ‘safe word’ Sabrina chose) that she calls out his name. She didn’t even have the mindset to explain Kyle about this or about her deception. She was up and got ready to go check in on Buster who needed his medicine, leaving the man she so far thought was the man of her dreams. Just like that! I mean, C’MON! Do you expect me to believe that? You want me to believe she couldn’t take 15 minutes and give Kyle a brief, maybe take him with her because I know Kyle was nice and would’ve understood. The cat was THAT IMPORTANT? (I know all the pet lovers and cat persons would hate me for this but I can’t help screaming in frustration!) But I did believe, because after all she’s Sabrina’s sister! So she hurts Kyle with the safe word (however unknowingly, I don’t give a sh*t) who misunderstands that as a break, thinking maybe she’s got some other man waiting for her and so on. Kyle acts rude and cold (very reasonably), which the featherbrain interpreted as he being a jerk to her without any reason at all. He leaves her to Sabrina’s apartment and leaves.

Three weeks pass. THREE FREAKIN’ WEEKS and Jillian is still moaning the loss of her lover. Good! It would’ve been better if Kyle showed her the door when she finally gets the truth from Sabrina and puts two and two together, then goes to make it up to him. I would’ve danced with glee because she deserved something like that! Yes I am pissed and I can’t help it. *headdesk*

2 stars, thank you!

I know what I want for Christmas this year and certainly isn't socks! We Kidnap U is a company bonded for Bondage, who kidnap you (at your request!) and then carry out your fantasy. For Jillian this experience becomes an actual kidnapping when Master Kyle mistakes her for her scatterbrained sister and 'naps her and starts carrying out deliciously dirty bondage scenes, which sensible Jillian relalizes might just be her fantasies after all...!

This book was waaay hot, I loved it, it had some of my favourite things; a hot muscular man, a bit of bondage, duurty talking, spanking 'cos she was a very naughty girl and also had a little humour in it to. What more could I ask for? It wasn't a deep book and didn't delve into any complicated relationship stuff but it was a fun read that had we all squirmy but smiling at the same time!

So if you are looking for a quick light bondage read give it a spin!

Fave Quotes:

"I mean, just think of it—you’re walking along down the street at any hour of the day or night—you never know when it’s going to happen—and suddenly you’re grabbed by this huge, menacing man, blindfolded, handcuffed and shoved into a van. Then they take you back to their lair and do all kinds of things to you—but only the things you specified on the form,” she added hastily. “What could go wrong?”

~~~
Kyle frowned. “You don’t have to apologize for not having the anatomy of a toothpick, sweetheart. After all, who wants to be with a bag of bones?”
“Are you for real?” She opened her dark eyes wide. “Where have you been living lately—in fat girl fantasyland?”
Review for Evangeline Anderson's Kidnapped For Christmas
It's your typical holiday story...girl meets boy (by being kidnapped), boy spanks girl and gives her the best sexual experience of her life, girl falls in love with boy (after a few minutes), boy and girl have a huge misunderstanding involving a diabetic cat's name (which also happens to be the "safe word" for their BDSM play, unbeknownst to the girl), boy and girl pine for each other for three long, lonely weeks, girl shows up at boy's place of work in a trench coat and sexy lingerie, boy and girl make up with a spanking and sex-on-a-table, girl invites boy to her family's Christmas party.
So, here's what I liked about it...the heroine is "curvy" (not a skinny supermodel) and the hero is totally hot for her. The sex is spicy, the BDSM is "light" (not too crazy), and even though this story really has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas, it's a fun, sexy read. I just find the whole idea of these two "falling in love" pretty ludicrous (as far as I know, it takes more than some spanking to fall in love), but other than that I thought this was an entertaining read.
Grade: B/B+
Erotica. An adventurous twin decides to have herself kidnapped for Christmas, with the kidnapping including BDSM up to, but not including, actual intercourse. The less wild and more curvy sister gets 'napped instead, which is fine with the hero/kidnapper who actually looked at a picture of wild twin and wished she was a little fuller figured.
4 stars instead of 5 for a couple contrivances that could not be ignored. The kidnapping agency made a point of the "victim" having a safe word, and yet our heroine was gagged for quite a while while all sorts of, um, stuff was done to her person. Of course, when she's ungagged she no longer wants to set the record straight. Still, what's the point of a safe word if someone cannot use it?
There was also a standard misunderstanding over something she said, but it almost worked, so I'm letting it slide. :)
This was a nice fantasy, really, and what woman doesn't dig a hero who wants the curvier sister?
I really really REALLY loved this! (And I can not believe it wasn't already in my book shelves!!)
This was one of my first BDSM reads and it was great as a beginner because it's not too scary...but it was very intriguing to say the least.
I totally fell in love with both characters. They were two really sweet and likeable people who came together in very unusual circumstances. I don't know if I had consciously realised that I had a kidnap fantasy, but I sure as hell do now!
Now I understand from reading other reviews that this is generally thought of as unrealistic and idealised, but come on...I am someone who reads as much romantic and erotic fiction as I can get my paws on so I'm obviously not looking for too much reality am I?
I want two people to meet, have incredibly hot (and hopefully a bit naughty) sex and have a romantic HEA that makes me sigh dreamily like a great big girl!!
WARNING: Strong language ahead.
“You don’t have to apologize for not having the anatomy of a toothpick, sweetheart. After all, who wants to be with a bag of bones?”
A men who can say words like these is a real men. I'm curvy and I love my curves. Whoever cannot appreciate a little bit of body can literally go and fuck themselves. I think this is why I enjoyed this read so much. It was real and funny, ok, fine, hot as hell too. Thank you Read Me Romance for yet another great recommendation.
I have no idea what has happened to me in the last three months but it looks like I'm reading steamer and steamer books, with each position that lands in my hands. The worst, or the best, is that I quite enjoy it. Who knew a written word could be so arousing and incredibly handsome. Who knew there is this whole world of hidden guilty pleasures that play a great part in my real life foreplay. It might be too much information for a simple reader like you but I can tell you this-this book will make you hot like no erotic film ever did it for you.
Evangeline is like a magician that pulls out a pleasure instead of the rabbit, from her hat. Card tricks are spanks and moans and disappearing game is the tension that evaporates after the Big O. You are a master of a written fantasy!
It was a short, fun read. I like the premise of the story which included a fantasy kidnapping business & mistaken identities.
I enjoyed getting to know the characters in the beginning. The middle dragged a bit because IMO, too much time was spent
setting up the steamy sex scenes. I also liked how it ended, and overall it was worth reading!!
This is going to be a short review as the book is short as well. First is is a short book. Nothing wrong with that. What bothered me was it was an VERY overpriced book for the length. I never really look at the length of a book but this one burned me on price.
The story starts with two sisters around Christmas time. They aren't twins but they look a lot a like, except the Sabrina is the younger thin sister and Jillian is the older, plumper sister. By older I mean 13 months older.
Sabrina starts by telling Jillian she bought a kidnap scene from a "bonded by bondage" company. Throughout the entire book they like to abbreviate it to 'nap or 'napped. A little irritating.
Adam owns the local kidnapping business, but has to go to a conventions so he enlists his brother Kyle's help. Both are Doms, but Kyle hasn't found the sub he wants.
Through a series of incidences, there is a mix up and Jillian is kidnapped by Kyle for a fantasy weekend Sabrina planned out. The only way out is the safe word the Jillian doesn't know. Jillian learns a lot about herself and Kyle finds the woman he wants to take on as a sub.
Overall, it is a short novella and you don't really get to know the characters really well. The romance takes place very quickly, less than 24 hours. So mostly is has a unbelievable feel about it. Overall, it just wasn't something I enjoyed.
I’ve always said if you make me laugh, you’re automatically my favorite author, and Kidnapped For Christmas delivers lots of humor along with yummy BDSM goodness.
Even though Sabrina Marks is impulsive, she knows what would make a great Christmas gift – being kidnapped and living out your favorite BDSM fantasy. So when Christmas comes around, Sabrina quickly signs up to be kidnapped. Sabrina’s plus sized sister, Jillian, is always there to clean up after her sister’s messes, but this time Jillian thinks Sabrina has gone over the deep end and she advises her sister to cancel.
Unable to dissuade her Sabrina from going through the kidnapping, Jillian lets things lie and everything seems to go back to normal. That is until Kyle, the replacement Dom hired to live out Sabrina’s fantasy mistakenly kidnaps Jillian instead.
Gagged and bound, Jillian can’t tell Kyle what a terrible mistake he’s made. But as Jillian undergoes Kyle’s expert care, she gets weak at the knees and hungers for more. When Kyle finally takes her gag off, Jillian decides to live out her sister’s sordid fantasy. I mean a little BDSM never hurt anyone, right?
Note: The only setback to me in this book was how many times we were told Jillian was plus sized. It got tedious after awhile. Other than that, I loved everything about this book and its characters.
Kidnapped For Christmas features:
BDSM
oral
backdoor play (toys)
candle play
spanking
humor
This was a quick and enjoyable read and very, very hot ! Jillian is plus-sized, practical and always does the right thing. Her younger sister, Sabrina is the total opposite, she is wild, irresponsible and always getting into trouble that Jillian has to bail her out of. Jillian is shocked when Sabrina tells about the Christmas gift she has arranged for herself. She hired a company to "kidnap" her not knowing when it will happen and then she will be dominated and pleasured by the person. Sabrina takes off on a boat with a man she knows before she can call and cancel the "Nap". Kyle is a Dominant just like his younger brother, Adam but he doesn't like his business of custom kidnapping women and bringing them to his dungeon. Adam begs Kyle to do a "Nap" for him because he has to go out of town for business. After looking at the file and thinking Sabrina is beautiful but way too skinny he reluctantly agrees to help Adam. When Kyle sees Jillian leaving her sister's apartment he is pleasantly surprised that she is curvier than in the picture he has. Jillian is handcuffed, blindfolded and gagged put in a van and taken to a dungeon. When they get there he keeps the gag on her at first so she can't tell him he's made a mistake. Then she actually starts enjoying everything being done to her, no one has ever made her feel this way.
My Rating: ★★
Book Description:
Kidnapped for Christmas Evangeline Anderson Plus-sized and practical Jillian Marks is the responsible one in her family. She got all the common sense and her little sister Sabrina got all the skinny genes. When Sabrina plans a custom kinky kidnapping as a Christmas present for herself, Jillian tries to talk her out of it but her ditzy sister won't listen. Muscular and intense Kyle Stephens is a Dom who is looking for a permanent sub-a curvy woman who can submit in the bedroom but still think for herself. He takes Sabrina's file but mistakenly 'naps the wrong sister, grabbing Jillian instead of Sabrina. Now Jillian is bound and gagged in a dungeon, learning to submit to the man of her dreams who has her kidnapped for Christmas.
My Thoughts:
*Sigh*....I like a little fantasy with my fiction but this story was just overall quite silly. A BBW is mistakenly "kidnapped" for a kink fantasy orchestrated by her thinner sister. In an unbelievable turn of events Jillian and Kyle are thrown together by an even more unbelievable story set-up but find love through it all. *Eyebrow quirk....Really?!?!?! I didn't particularly enjoy this one. I didn't hate it but it definitely won't be read again.
I have found my way to another of the marvelous Evangeline Anderson's titles. Having read only one series for so long every new discovery makes me glad that I found this author. While not a long story it manages to give you some romance along with a Dom who knows what he is doing and a sub who never knew she was one. The characters are fun and sexy and very well realized. The settings are good and make for easy visualization as well as the props alluded to. I will admit I knew what was going to happen fairly quickly but it did not take anything away from the story. It actually made me want to see exactly how it was going to play out.
Sabrina and Jilly are sisters but while they have similar hair color and eye color their body types are completely different. Sabrina is super skinny while Jilly is a plus size girl. Sabrina is impulsive and headstrong while Jilly is a bit straight laced and responsible. When Sabrina makes a plan for herself and then flakes Jilly gets a chance to walk on the wild side.
I cannot say anything more or I will give it all away. This is super hot with a hunky Dom who made me wish I was a sub. If you like a hot read read and do not have a problem with a little BDSM then go for it. You will find a lot to like.
This was a very lightweight, sweet, Christmas erotica story. Lately I've found Ms Anderson's female leads to be quite annoying but this was one different. Jillian was likeable, even if she was a major sucker when it came to her obnoxious sister. Overall I enjoyed the story.
That beind said, there is an aspect of the book that I didn't like at all. The heroine in this story was supposedly a 'curvy' size 18 and I have to say I wonder what planet the author's sizing chart is from. The picture of the person on the cover of the book depicts a woman who is probably about a size 12-14. Also, in the story, the male lead, Kyle is effortlessly picking Jillian up and hauling her around. As she's probably close to 200 pounds that is highly unlikely. I applaud a book that realistically portrays a woman as sexy even though she's not stick thin but the way its done here is a bit insulting.
