Menopause: Aging & Caregiving: An anthology for the woman in the middle of aging and caregiving.

Rate this book
We are women in the middle who encourage, inspire, and empower each other to live lives of meaning and purpose before, during, and after menopause.

This book is for you and me who are, in media res, in the middle of things—of aging and caregiving. We are women in the middle.

The first part of this book is about women speaking from the spaces and places of their lives. Women in menopause who hold hands with a dear friend they embrace or sometimes fear–aging.

From the reality of painful knees to the wrinkles on their face. Perspective can determine if they believe life gets better, or ponder the blessings/curses of invisibility in the public eye. Some ask the age-old do we still desire our youth, and to dye or not to dye?

The second part explores women in menopause who give care to spouses, children, or grandchildren. One author offer tips to people who have friends that are overwhelmed caregivers because she was one.

Two others write letters of unconditional love to their daughter-in-law and granddaughter, respectively. While the last story is a humorous reflection of a caregiving incident.

They inspire us to love ourselves as we are—strong and resilient. Debbie Walker and her team proudly present the Women of Middle-Pause.

I have a piece in this anthology so I'm biased.

And this is the first anthology I've ever been in, so that's fun.

My piece is about appreciating my broken-down knees.

There are some great stories in this anthology, especially if you're of a certain age.
