Rebel After My Heart

I want her and now that I forced her back into my life, I will have her.
Lush Rebel is the perfect start to an amazing new series. Billie truly never holds back in delivering a world that’ll have you addicted right from the start. I mean, I was already obsessed with Knox and Sam in the Eastside prequel and here is a full length novel packed full of bad boy deliciousness, a badass heroine, suspense and danger, all leading up to a thrilling ride of a story. It’s safe to say I passed being just obsessed and totally in love.
Honestly, when I first read the prequel and then Lush Rebel, the story went in a totally different direction than I thought it would. Here we get a second chance romance with a touch of that mafia goodness that Billie brings, PLUS a little cameo from my favorite Wolfe brother. What could possibly make this any better? Oh, maybe the fact that Knox is an alpha bad boy that’ll leave you breathless? And Sam is truly a rebel without a cause, being completely sassy and fierce, keeping Knox and everyone on their toes. Readers included.
With personalities like that, it comes with explosive chemistry. After breaking Sam’s heart years ago, Knox must force Sam into marriage between the two to protect her, and boy does she not like that. These two create a force to be reckoned with and the intensity they bring that Billie created is just phenomenal. We see the way these two characters fall back in love with each other, even though they weren't ever really out of love.
I truly never wanted this book to end. I love how these characters, not just Knox and Sam, but everyone involved, were bonded and loyal - well some of them. Some will make you wanna pull teeth but you know, whatever. Billie truly never ceases to amaze me. This book will leave you wanting more. If you’re looking for a steamy, angsty, world building story, this is it!

Addicting Short Story

I could drive around with him for hours, not doing anything, not talking. Just existing.
A short story about street racing with some forbidden love that was written by Billie Lustig?! Say no more.
Billie always knows how to bring it, and she did it perfectly with Knox and Sam. Within a short time, you already feel so much for these characters. I was intrigued from the very beginning, and their burning passion had my heart rate up. Like goddamn ok, I see you.
Now this is an introduction to Lush Rebel, and I just know I’ll be completely obsessed with them by the end of it.

Buckle up this one will have you hold the sides of the seat a wild ride, suspense, dangerous man, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a delicious story. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Wow where to begin Knox sexy as all get out alpha with a little mystery surrounding him …wait what am I saying a lot of mystery, a bad guy with a good heart for those he loves, he will die to keep them safe and loves hard. He met his soulmate when he was twenty-one, she was seventeen and as fate would have it they hooked up for a while but it wasn’t meant to be until a little later. Sam strong, can be sweet when she needs to be, stands up for herself, has a mouth and temper that will have you running, she doesn’t back down even when she should. She found her soulmate in Knox at seventeen, sneaking off just for a few moments with him until it all came to an end with him breaking her heart and his own to be honest in the process. But at the time he had corrupt police who threaten to lock her up, so he did as request left her alone breaking both their hearts. Fast forward Sam has traveled with her own gang, got into trouble, got out of trouble until the day she stole from one of the most powerful, sick man big …big mistake and now she is back home and after drinking herself the night before she has to drop her best friend off at the airport and deciding to steal a car but the question is whose car and you guessed it yep Knox’s car this is where the ride gets a little bumpy. When she goes to return the car, Knox forces her had into marrying him not out of hate but out of love oh and yep, he wants her back in his life permanently, but the main reason for this sham of a marriage is to ensure her safety. See he deals with the man after Sam, but they had a deal not to go after each other’s family and since Sam is his family know he thought it would protect her but boy was he wrong in this number you have suspense, danger, betrayal, hope, love but will there be a HEA?

I was very happy to receive this in my email yesterday morning via Billie's newsletter because I was genuinely concerned as to how I'm going to cope until Franklin is released without another Billie book😂
This was great, I read it straight after going to see Fast & Furious 9 in the cinema last night, so was still on a bit of a fast car high, and this honestly just had all the OG Fast and Furious vibes, from the street racing, to the pink slips, I LOVED.
Such a vibe, such an epic little short story that I'm very happy to have in my collection now. Once again, can't get enough of the characters, I need me some more Knox with his midnight blue corvette please.
Although, that being said, I do now have Eastside by Benny Blanco stuck in my head, so thanks for that Billie 😂

This is book one in The Sister's of Sin series and it is Knox and Sam's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Knox and Sam have history but when he broke her heart five year's ago she left town as she couldn't stay where she would see him all the time and now Sam is back to help her sister Jane run Lush there club not knowing that unfortunately danger has followed Sam because of the life choices she made while away from her hometown. Sam is sassy, a fire cracker, speaks before thinking and lives to the beat of her own drum that often gets her into trouble. Knox is hard, handsome and loves Sam with every beat of his heart and he knows that he hurt her when he broke up with her but he didn't have any choice but now danger is all around them and he will protect Sam even if it is with his own life and that is why he told her that she either married him or he would take Lush the club that her and Jane owns so Sam didn't have much choice but she will not make it easy for Knox. The chemistry between Knox and Sam is so strong, intense and hot that you can feel it sizzling of the pages of this book and I really thought my kindle would melt with the sparks that are around them when they are in the same room and even though you know that they love each other you wouldn't believe it with how they constantly bicker and are at each other throats all the time. WOW WOW WOW I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner with twists and turns along the way and that is what makes it so addictive and the storyline pulled you in right from the start and kept your attention throughout the whole book and kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next and how it would end. Billie Lustig is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely loved everything about this book!
The plot and storyline were fast and furious.
The characters are all freaking kick@$&.
And the writing is done to perfection.
I loved Knox.
That man is bad boy mixed with alpha traits and pure sex appeal.
He’s charming and will have any female handing over her panties in minutes.
He walks the very dark gray line of the law.
But has a heart of gold.
And I adored Sam.
She’s sassy and tough as nails.
Loves wholehearted and without conditions.
Her one downside, which I did not appreciate was her lack of sympathy and not taking stalk of the situations and circumstances around her.
But her and Knox together are pure TNT!
Everything with them is explosive and intense.
I loved their dynamics, from their banter to their sexy encounters.
Their sexual chemistry is so freaking hot!
It’s a living palpable entity.
With an energy that is combustible.
Everything about them just fit perfectly.
“Like a broke glass, split evenly in two pieces. We are damaged together, yet with the right amount of glue,
we are still a perfect match.”
This is precisely what Sam and Knox are.

This is the first time reading one of this author's books other than eastside (the short story/prologue) and I went into this book blind and I really have to say I'm impressed. Truly. I loveeddd Sam! Strong. Fierce. Gah, how can you possibly not love her? :D Knox on the other hand, I wanted to despise him at first since I believed he was a total jerk, but I was proven wrong. He's so bossy, sexy ahhh I adore him. The ending? I LOVED. SO not your typical cliche where the boy saves the girl, in this story it's the badass woman that saved the boy We love a badass and feisty heroine! Though some parts were a bit cringe to me. Nevertheless, I loved this book. ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5⭐
and the spice? ✨holy water please✨ ️ ️ ️/5 ️ The chemistry between Sam and Knox is off the charts.

I found this romance to be fun, suspenseful and dark. Sam returns to her hometown and is forced to marry her ex Knox, except that she hates him as he threw out their relationship five yers ago. However, other factors are in play that will either strengthen or destroy this relationship. I love Sam as she is bold, fearless and speaks her mind, though I wasn’t sure about Knox as he seems to really love her but I couldn’t fathom why he ended the ire relationship until everything is revealed. I admit I had to laugh at some of the outrageous things that came out of both their mouths, especially Sam’s. .

Lush Rebel absolutely blew me away. Whenever Billie puts out a new book, it becomes a favourite of mine. Each book gets better and each couple gets hotter. It is the first book in the Sisters of Sin series, an arranged marriage, second chance, mafia romance. Expect sassy heroine, possessive alpha, cool supercars, viscous crime lord with a ton of spice, twist and action. I am so in love with this story, especially the connection to the Boston Wolfe universe and my Reign making a cameo appearance.
Sam was orphaned at a young age and has lived with her sister and aunt. She pursued Knox when she was seventeen and they had been inseparable since. One day, Knox broke up with her. She fled home with a broken heart and decided to join a crew in stealing supercars around the world. When she returned home, trouble followed too. Sam and Knox’s path crossed again when she stole his car. He offered her two options as repayment - to marry him or sign over her sister’s club. Little did she know, Knox was doing everything in secret to protect her from harm.
I absolutely adored Sam. She was genuine, brave, strong and has no problem speaking her mind. That is what gets her into trouble. She might be a pain in the a$$ but Knox loves her all the same. The way she teases and torments him, I live for those moments. Knox is the bad boy who lives on the wrong side of law but he has the biggest heart. His feelings for Sam run deep and he is so ready to risk his own life to safeguard Sam’s. Their chemistry, sexual desire and connection is so strong you could feel it from the pages. Their relationship is unconventional, thrilling and beautiful.
A special mention to Sam’s sister, Jane. I can tell she is a feisty one and I love the strength she exhibits. I adore the bond between her and Sam and enjoy reading how they reconciled and teamed up in the end. Billie went above and beyond with this story and I am super excited for Jane and Brock’s!

Billie is one of my auto-buy authors and this book proved why she's worthy of that title!
Sam might be my new favourite FMC! A couple of months ago Billie published the short story Eastside, in which we were introduced to Sam and Knox. Sam and Knox, the modern embodiment of Bonnie and Clyde, are multiple shades of fucked up, but they are mostly fucked up about eachother.
After a passionate romance during their teens/early twenties, Sam and Knox have spent 5 years apart. both of them have grown into their wicked selfs and made enough enemies to last a life time. When Sam returns to town Knox makes up a plan to win her back.
This book is explicit, but not over the top kinky. Billie is giving us all our favourite dominant man moves, and tops it off with big-tits-energy given to us by Sam.
This book is funny, grabbing-you-by-the-front-of-your-neck-hot, and is served with a side of mafia plot. Nobody is as cool as Sam is and I want to be her when I grow up! I was sucked in immediately and didn't stop reading until I fell asleep.

Billie started this series off with an absolute BANG!! I can never get enough of her writing, every story blows me away.

Sam is my HERO. I love her. And I reckon there isn’t a person out there who would disagree. She’s sassy, loud, a complete adrenaline junkie and always speaks her mind - regardless of how much trouble this brings her. The relationship between Sam and her sister Jane was so special. I really loved reading their scenes 🤍
Knox is a bad boy with a heart of gold. WE LOVE TO SEE IT 😍😍 He tricks Sam into marrying him and forcing her to live with him, but little does Sam know, it’s all for her own good. He would literally do anything for her and knows exactly how to handle her smart mouth.
Knox and Sam have such a special chemistry. The connection they have is unreal and the spice in insane. It’s a total “ride or die” kinda love and I’m all here for it!

Sam is my HERO. I love her. And I reckon there isn’t a person out there who would disagree. She’s sassy, loud, a complete adrenaline junkie and always speaks her mind - regardless of how much trouble this brings her. The relationship between Sam and her sister Jane was so special. I really loved reading their scenes 🤍
Knox is a bad boy with a heart of gold. WE LOVE TO SEE IT 😍😍 He tricks Sam into marrying him and forcing her to live with him, but little does Sam know, it’s all for her own good. He would literally do anything for her and knows exactly how to handle her smart mouth.
Knox and Sam have such a special chemistry. The connection they have is unreal and the spice in insane. It’s a total “ride or die” kinda love and I’m all here for it!

This book contains the tropes arranged marriage, second chance (lovers-to-ennemies-to-lovers) age gap of 4 years between the MC and the LI and is set in the universe of the mafia.
We follow Sam's story since she is 17 years old, and she's a badass. We also meet Knox her past lover and now her enemy well until he gives her an ultimatum and forces her to marry him. In the past she played a little too much with fire and burned the devil in person, what's gonna happen when her life and those of her loved ones is going to be threatened? But above all, will she get by on her own or with the help of a person she would rather forget.
I liked the character of Sam, she is independent with a big mouth wich is rare for a female main character and as a strong temper, which will often put her in compromising situations. Her relationship with Knox is complicated, but they go so well together. I also loved the characters of Jane, Harley and Brock. I'm excited to read the second book :))

This is the 1st book in the Sisters of Sin series featuring Knox and Sam's wild second chance romance. Knox is a bad boy with a heart of gold and him and Sam together are explosive! Sam is fierce,sassy she doesn't back down even when she should. Knox fell in love with his soulmate when he was 21 and she was 17 they were together briefly until he was forced to walk away from her to protect her. Sam thinks that Knox just broke her heart by walking away from her like he did but he was heartbroken as well. Now all these years later when Knox has the opportunity to force her into marriage he takes it since he's never stopped loving Sam. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this wild exciting second chance romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This was a great way to start off the series. Sam is a kick butt and take names later type of woman. She and Knox had something special once but it ended poorly for them both. Knox is back in her life, bold as can be. He is her match in every way. Sam has a lot riding on the line and questions her judgement where he is concerned. He knows that he has her right where he wants her but can he keep her there. The sparks that fly between them could combust sometimes. This story has a little bit of everything. Drama danger, surprises, stubbornness, family, acceptance, lust and love. A possessive, alpha man and the only woman strong enough to stand by his side.

Lush Rebel is a fast paced book full of drama, action, and a smart mouthed heroine with all the steam that Billie always delivers. Sam doesn’t hold punches, literally doesn’t hold them. The first one she threw had me laughing and thinking she was brilliant. I really wanted to hate Knox at first, I thought he was an epic jerk, I was proven wrong about that. For the most part at least. He still had some punchable moments. I love that Billie of course gave us looks at Reign, if you don’t know who Reign is you really need to. I loved this book and like with anything this lady write, it should definitely be read!

I picked up this book after a TikTok recommendation. It’s truly becoming a trend for me lol.
I ended up giving it 4 stars because I just couldn’t get on board with the main couple, particularly the FMC. The whole grand theft auto side of things fell a bit flat. The author however did make me like the depiction of the characters’ past, which is a first for me.
The driving force behind the plot was the FMC being protected from someone from her past and, despite the MMC strongly expressing his will to get back together, I wish it had been explored a bit more.
Overall, I realise I simply didn’t click with her. Doesn’t mean other people won’t, it’s honestly a good book.

When Knox broke Sam's heart she left never planning to return but her sister Jane needs help at Lush sp she returns, but trouble follows. Knox never stopped loving Sam he know he hurt her but his need to protect her, leads him to give her an ultimatum, be his or lose Lush. Well written the characters ooze chemestry and you can feel all the raw emotions that drive their decisions. An engaging read and I'll be back for more

This book was so good. I cannot wait to see what happens in the future. With the next book release being a year away, I am so glad it did not end on a cliffhanger. I loved all the characters, they were well written and had depth. I love the love Knox had for Sam. Their fire and chemistry was off the charts. The banter was fun and exciting. Knox did not let Sam get away with her snaps, he gave it right back and vice versa. Such a great book. If I could give more stars I would.

C'est bon!
Being from Louisiana, I loved that this was set in my home state. The relationship between Sam and Knox reminds me of my relationship with my husband, raw and real. We give each other crap, and we may fight, but at the end of the day we've got each others back. Sam and Knox's relationship felt real, and not manufactured like it does in a lot of books. You don't always see couples that aren't afraid to call each other out. I love that about this book and I can't wait to see what happens in Jane's book.

I will admit I did skim a lot with this book. I noticed a holes in the story or that too many things were focused on things that didn't need to be. While I loved Sam for being a badass, it still didn't make up for the whole book.
One thing I ALWAYS hate is the oh I only slept with her because of missing you or the I was thinking of you line 🙄 I wanted to read through the pages and punch Knox in the throat.
I did like how Reign is brought in to this story. I truly cant wait for his book.

I think I really liked it at first, but then the characters and story became a bit more dull to me, and by the end I was thinking “that was good. What’s next?”
Wasn’t that big of a fan of Sam, because she just made some stupid decisions that made me what to shoot her. Knox also had his own problems, like lack of communication and arrogance.
But, overall, good story and romance. Was cute and hot, and I definitely enjoyed it.

This is a second chance romance with Noah and Sam who were in a relationship until he broke her heart by breaking up with her making her leave. Five years later she returns only to get involved with Noah again when he tricks her into marrying him which is the only way he can think of to get his woman back. Sam is sassy, strong and takes no crap where Noah is hot tough but also tender hearted.

I actually enjoyed the quirkness of Sam almost as much as the possessiveness of them both. It was a great start to the series and I can't wait for the others
