Imogen is a woman on the brink. Due to her mother’s medical condition, she’s been forced to live out of her car, in her workplace’s car garage, no less. She can barely make ends meet, and her only focus is how to survive just one more day.
Tobias and Theo are her bosses, and it doesn’t take them long to discover her secret, but unbeknownst to her, they have a secret of their own, one that could change everything.
She’s their mate, and they’ll do anything they have to in order to keep her for themselves, even if that means breaking her first.
Imogen knows she will never be free of them, and being human against a Lycan and vampire, she might as well give up;
Only now, she was not only fighting to escape her mates who kidnapped her but fighting for her humanity. Forced into a world she never knew existed, one thing becomes clear. No humans allowed! Imogen soon discovers the safest place for her may actually be with her mates, but at what cost?
Will Imogen really just let them take whatever they want, or will she fight back? There’s more on the line than just her heart. If Imogen doesn’t watch it, she’ll lose her life to her Sinful Mates and become a creature of the night herself.

DNFed at 78%. This started out so promising, but from the moment Imogen found out she was their mate, her whole personality became "bitchy brat". She got furious about the dumbest things and just stayed angry, bratty and bitchy all the time. It fell into a rhythm of her blowing up at them, they have sex, they fight, they have sex, she runs away, they find her and bring her back, then they have sex. I started skipping sex scenes because as many as there were, they weren't meaningful at all! You didn't feel tension or anything. She TELLS you there's tension, but you don't actually feel it. Then at 78% this suddenly becomes a surprise pregnancy where she goes on the run to save the baby, even though she knows it will kill her and then it starts to get very twilight esq and everything becomes about the baby and I realized I just didn't care what happened from then on, so I stopped
didnt feel the love bond. toxic relationship, abusive at time, though trying to come off as alpha type men just didnt work for me, difunctional. extremely unnecessarily long.
DNF at 28%. It’s just so badly written and gives off teen diary instead of adult smut. Very simplistic writing with no research. Advil and ibuprofen are the same thing. *big sigh* The “brothers” in the threesome trying to convince the fmc they aren’t “inbred”. *serious eye roll* The last straw - one of the mmc dangling the fmc over the stair railing to teach her lesson. It made zero sense even with context. I wish I hadn’t paid for this book.
Okay so the for the first half of this book, I hate it so much. It started off really well with her being homeless and sleeping in her car so she could be able to afford her mother's medical bills. But then her mother dies and Theo and Tobias finds out she's living in her car and so they get her an apartment and she was a little upset about that because she doesn't like handouts. But I feel like the author didn't give her time to mourn her mom at all when she died because everything moves so quickly. Because as soon as her mother dies she's having sexual encounters with her 2 love interests. Then it quickly turns to them kidnapping her. And all she wants to do is to go back to the city and work and be a normal person but they are not allowing it.
Another thing that kinda irked me is when they first kidnapped her she overhears a conversation with one of her love interest parents about them wanting to kill her because she knows their secret. After that encounter there is no talk about it at all. I feel as though if somebody was talking about killing me I want to talk about that immediately but they just gloss over that, there was no questions, no bringing that conversation up until they meet with their parents again later in the book and overhears the conversation again and she finally walks in the room and confronts everybody. And she has a civil conversation with the parents and the parents give her lots of vital information because let's not forget these two, her mates, have not told her anything to clear up the confusion and miscommunication as to why she cant leave ( which by the way she never even ask them why she cant leave which is weird.) So at this point because we're missing so much vital information her two mates especially Tobias seems like the biggest douchebags you have ever met and made no sense in why she would be have sex with them when all they did was terrify her and kept her caged up. But you know what, even with having the information they still were the most agonizing douchebags I've ever came across. First of all before kidnapping her Tobias literally bites her and gives her the mate bond without even telling her what he did. And he knew the consequences for giving her the mate bond because she was human and humans were not allowed in their world and he forcefully gave her that bond without her consent (reason 126 why this man sucks.) Secondly I thought Theo was gonna be my favorite because he actually listened to her and tried to advocate for her to have more freedom and come to work with them but because he doesn't want to disobey Tobias, he doesn't give into her demands. That's okay we get it he doesn't want to cross Tobias but then he does a 180 in the book and just like Tobias he is doubebag #2. Because when they let her come with them back to work and have some of type of normalcy it lasted a day and they left her at the house the next morning. And she steals a car and goes to work anyway and she talks to Tom.
Now the whole Tom scene is wild. They tried to kill Tom in front of her. And in that scene they really showed her that they were monsters, they were cruel, and they didn't care that they were going to kill the man that helped her while she was homeless and essentially somewhat of a father figure to her. She begs them to not kill him and told her they already did and throws his body in the trunk and she fight them in car like physically and only when they told her he wasn't dead she stops. But they didn't care and was still planning to kill him until they were literally were on the road taking her back to the house (well her prison) and she jumped out the car when it was moving. She open the trunk for Tom and she fought to get to Tom and her mates realized they were hurting her so they gave her an ultimatum, if she agreed to never leave the house again they'll let Tom live and go back home to his family. (And this is not the only ultimatum they had because she wanted to leave her "prison" so badly she told Tobais that Theo could give her the mate bond exchange for her freedom to work. And so the whole bonding scene for them did not feel genuine when it happened because of that information it just felt like an obligation for her to leave the house. It felt like coercion sex it didnt feel like they bonded for love, it felt like prostitution.) And I thought after them treating her that way and trying to kill Tom, she wasn't going to be talking to them or put space in between them because she was literally terrified to death of these men. But it's like every time they do something horrible or terrifying and she's angry at them the author uses a sex scene for them to make up but it doesn't make any sense to put sex scenes after them literally terrifying her to death and using their mate bond to have sex with her. Reading it, literally felt like, again, coercion sex because she can't help the mate bond and they trigger her mate bond so she can forgive them but it just seems like it's way too rush on the forgiving part and there is not even really a forgiving part because there is no talking about what they did. They just keep doing stuff that's terrifying her, making decisions for her that she doesn't like. I honestly skip majority of the sex scene (and that says alot coming from me because I'm a huge smut girly) because majority of time there is no lead up to it and comes out of nowhere and some of the sex scenes happen literally militseconds when she's was either angry or crying and only thing Tobias and Theo do so she's not mad at them is trigger her mate bond to have sex with her and they don't address the issues afterwards at all. It's like being in abusive relationship and there no repercussions for the abuser at all.
Now for the second half of the book that is where things got interesting and there was a lot more communication and a lot more of them figuring things out together and working together. Her mates actually does a 180 in the second half and they're actually bearable and nice and taking to her needs and trying to take pressure off of her. They really created a great family unit. They are so much better in the second half, so much more lovable. The story was overall good in the second half but the first half felt really weird and rushed. It's nothing like the second half but it still kinda felt rush. Its like somebody else wrote the first half and then a different person wrote the second half that's the only way how I can explain it. Overall the book was good but it wasn't great and as some people have mentioned in other reviews that there is something wrong with the grammar. There are some but it's not a lot. But yeah the story was pretty good if you keep going until the second half and Imma see what the second and book is about.
Read on Goodnovel App- WARNING The first 15 or so chapters were free. After that, you pay 15-35 coins per chapter. The "book" is actually a set of 3 different stories. I had enough coins to read the first book (100 chapters), but I will not be buying more.
I know for some authors this is the first step in getting your name out there, but as reader (who does not have a budget), I still cannot justify spending $20-40 reading 1 book. It is also shameful that the author probably sees very little of that money. Anyway, onto my review.
In a world where vampires and werewolves live among us, Imogen works for a pair of them and she is unaware like the rest of the humans. They are drawn to her and it appears that she is their fated mated. Well, Tobias can't control himself, and marks her, whereas Theo is waiting and wants her to make the decision. One problem- humans are not accepted into their world. So, she either dies or dies, and comes back as a werewolf or vampire. She doesn't want any of these choices. The guys use the mate bond frequently to manipulate her with scorching hot s€x. Frankly, there was a bit too much of it towards the end. I never thought I would type that sentence.
Of course, there is other woman drama, a pregnancy, and Imogen finding out about her own paranormal DNA. I was really engaged in the first 50 chapters, but the story slowed down after that. There were quite a few shorter chapters after this (hence why the whole coin thing was problematic) and some of the plot got lost in the sex. I want to give the author credit for a great idea and the hot s€x scenes. The story could be cleaned up/shortened to stay focused on the plot and proofread better to make this a 4-5 star read. Overall, it is still a solid 3.

The story's beginning is very intriguing, with a girl living out of her car, hiding it from her employers, and paying her mom’s expensive medical bills. Only the janitor knows about it. There is chemistry between her and her bosses, although she saw them “kissing” and assumes they are in a relationship. Things escalate quickly the moment her mom dies. Then she does the runner because she eavesdrops and only hears half of the story. She is a bit immature, hates them, and doesn't believe in the mate bond but is always too eager to blame the mate bond when she is over-eager to have orgys with them. Then she tries to run away, and they rescue her. She is thrilled that they have saved her. Then she gets her panties all in a twist when they tell her it is not safe to leave home because of her heat. It gets tiring to read the whole saga of her hating them, fighting them, and sex scenes (skip a few because, honestly, you want to know what the point of the book is). Is she going to be turned or not? Then the curve ball, who is her dad, and shocker, pregnancy because if you have constant sex with no protection, wow, you didn't know you could get pregnant? Suddenly, the alcoholic mom becomes more than that. So anyway, then she runs away. Quite a few books by the author have the same underlying plot: a girl gets pregnant and runs away. So yeah, she runs with her mate's mom, and they can not be found. She dies but comes back miraculously. She is more powerful than her mates. She gets more annoying, too, but finally matures and gets a handle on her crazy mind, and yeah, they all live happily after because her dad is not dead, and she forgives her for killing her.
There is room for improvement, but very intriguing
I really enjoyed the story line and I think there are many ways this story could continue. Before it could continue though it needs to be edited again. There were many grammar and plot issues. Most of the scenes all read the same. The more I read the more I felt that the story was just being rushed to get finished. The beginning started with so much information and details, but it ended with me wondering what was even happening sometimes. If a second one were to come out, I would definitely read it because the story is intriguing. I would love to read this story again if it were to be edited and the plot errors fixed. Maybe it even needed to be split into more than one book so the author could focus on one part at a time.
I'm confused on this one. One one hand, I speed read it so it must have held me to it somehow but on the other hand, I wasn't thrilled. Everything was way too long and when that happens, it always seems like the ending is rushed or just not the best. This could have been two books with the 100 chapters being split in two but I doubt I would have tried the second book if that was the case. I happen to like the Authors other series, so I tried this but it didn't hold up to the dark romance part. For me, this had a Christian Grey possessive Alpha male type but nothing more. I liked the leading men but sometimes I wondered why she even cared about them. Stockholm and a mate bond was the jist of this love story. I think I needed more for me to enjoy these characters. That being said, this wasn't for me but it may be for someone else looking for a lighter take on a dark romance.
I like Jessica’s other books better the ones I have read at least. I just found some things of it very disturbing like when Tobias forsefully marks Imogen, to me it sounded like rape, and I don’t like that in my books. I also thought Imogen was a little bitchy and/or sassy, while Theo and Tobias was some assholes sometimes, like sometimes I just wanted to throw them out the window. I liked how Imogen was really powerful, but I didn’t like how the darkness took over her and Theo when he drank her blood. In the scene when she was gonna fight Bianca for a seat at the council it was almost no fighting cause Imogen used her powers like I swear it was over in like 2 minutes. I just got to say though my heart got stuck in my throat when Bianca stole Imogen’s newborn son from her while she couldn’t do anything. I think this book was good but I just wish the big scenes where a little longer and that there weren’t as much spice it the book as it was, 3.5⭐️.

I found this on anystories under the name Forbidden Mates. Was absolutely hooked. I honestly wish there was more of their story to read. I will be starting book 2 on the son soon but it does sadden me to not be reading about Tobias, Theo, and Imogen. To my shock, it made to realize I didn't mind MMF reads. But my main reason in not giving it 5 stars though is because of all the grammer issues. I by no means have any room to talk but it does make it a bit hard to smoothly read through it. I just feel like if you are a author publishing, you would take a bit of time to make sure everything if okay.
⭐️ 3 She was so prideful, to the point of idiocy. It was hard to read. I almost feel like authors who let their character’s pride stand in the way of surviving haven’t ever really been poor. You cannot be picky when you’re at that level, and the fact that the main character lost her ever loving mind over her hospital bills being paid makes me lose mine.
DNF unfortunately. I thought to get angry at an author who writes things like this but then I re-looked at her books and realised I’ve actually read a ton of Jessica Hall books, and liked more than a few, which means it’s just this one which is a miss for me. Obviously I’m overreacting sorry!
Imogen began as a fierce Female but then when she was mated to Tobias pretty much the bond controlled her and she became a shell of her forme self
Tobias was first a real asshole but then he showed up some good I never imagine Theo the fun one could be the more ruthless of them! I didn’t like they took away Imogen choice and also they never truly work for her forgiveness they always felt she was wrong and they were right! They even question her motherhood skill when she made the greatest sacrifice but they always thought less of her, they controlled her through sex.

I've been reading this book just for fun, and although it shows I'm almost finished, the online version I'm following seems endless.
Honestly, I was really enjoying it, especially the dynamic between Tobias and Imogen. Despite how dominant or commanding he was (I might need therapy for liking that), their chemistry was my favorite part. The spicy chapters hit just right and were deeply satisfying at first. But over time, the story started to drag, and those moments became repetitive and lost their spark, and not to mention the bratty behavior that Imogen started to show would be a crime.
So, I’m putting this book down for now. Who knows—maybe I’ll pick it up again someday, or maybe not.
The book just went on and on. Seriously, it could have been shorter by a third if you cut out the repeated statements that went on and on over and over again. Like the same sections repeated about her mother as if the author just cut and pasted paragraphs. I struggled to finish and I’m a hard core reader. The tempo was just Slooooooooow and not the good kind. The sex scenes were good but at one point I just started to skip even them just so I could get to the end. Plus, I dislike heroines who do or think stupid illogical things. Sigh.
This book is not worth $8. It should be on kindle unlimited, then maybe I wouldn’t be so upset. The story line was ok until they basically force her to be marked and mated. Then they basically abuse her and guilt her into doing what they want. She has zero backbone and the guys are constantly gaslighting her into have sex. I read 1/3 of it and am still trying to get through it, but it’s very difficult. I have started skipping the sex scenes because it’s about her being defiant, them abusing her, and then her succumbing to what they want.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has depth in plot and character development, laughter, tears, anger, frustation. Doesnt follow a straight or expected path. It however is not BDSM - some bondage and yes touches both discipline and has even a pinch of sadism but no consent is ever sought or given there is narcissism, abuse even ??slavery and possibly some Stockholm. BDSM is a lifestyle, a choice, involves honest communication, consent and safety it should never be confused with or by abuse - they are not the same.
Had a strong beginning, but that was about it. I forced myself to get about 30% the way through, and I was just over the whining and abuse. I skipped ahead to see if it gets any better, and it just doesn’t. The main character whines about the little things and brushes off the abuse, and the men just don’t seem to care about their so-called mate, and are constantly mean to her. No one gives loving vibes, but the mothers, at all. I’ve read dark romance, but this just doesn’t give romance-vibes, only Stockholm vibes.
I won't rate this because I should have DNF'd. But I want to read the next book, so I continued. This book was way too long. The version I had is 630 pages and goodreads says it has 416 pages and I think if it had only 416 I would have liked it a lot more. She should have stopped it after the first storm (no spoilers), but it dragged on so much that the characters didn't even make sense anymore. It was a good start, but after the main people got together, everything became pointless, the mysteries weren't good enough and the twists weren't really exciting.
Dnf'd more than halfway through. The chemistry is good and has spice practically every other chapter which is good if you're looking for that, but there is almost no plot or character development. More thought out side characters could have added to the story. Also the main female has the memory of a goldfish, she's rational one minute, then gets d*cked up and forgets her thoughts & resolve the next. It's tiring seeing the characters fall into the loop of finding new info, getting mad and distrusting, sexy time, forgiveness, repeat.
An easy reading book. There were many grammar issues. Most of the scenes were the same. The whole book was a constant repeat. The story for the main character goes as sleeping a lot, next having a lot of wonderful sex and then getting immersely angry and having a fight and running away getting caught and again sleeping having sex get angry an so on. l have to admit it was funny to read at first but then you really knew what was going to happen next.
Great book, I really enjoy reading Jessica Halls books. This Supernatural romantic erotica book is exactly that and brings you through Imogen’s journey, it kept me hooked and wanting to find out what happens next. It’s the first of a series. Even better you can read it on AnyStories for free by doing daily reading challenges! Check it out here…. https://m.anystories.app/stories/5fbc...
I think would have to be my least favorite book I have ever read.
It is without a doubt the only book I have skipped sex scenes in. It was completely infuriating how many times they treated the FMC like absolute shit and then had sex with her and it was like *POOF* problem gone. No conversation. No solution. Sometimes no apology.
The FMC is far too forgiving when absolutely nothing has been done to explain or mend things.
I struggled reading this book. The grammar was horrendous the main character could have been a stronger female lead, but the author continuously kept her flipping back and forth and facing to everything. I'm disappointed that I wasted money by buying this book, it wasn't worth it.
After the first few chapters, this book bored me. She just kept repeating their sec spaces in different environments. I found very little interest after halfway through the book. Just kept hoping for a better storyline. There is none. I will not do a repeat of this author.
Jessica Hall takes you through a range of emotions. Dark becomes light, light becomes dark. This book was an incredible journey of growth. All the characters learn valuable lessons of love and trust. A story of redemption, trust, love and forgiveness- with a lot of steamy often brutal romance.
I think the author is a very writer. I enjoyed the story but couldn't give it 4 stars because I thought her mates sucked. Honestly they seemed like the worst ones I've read about. Harming her emotionally and physically but story acts like it's kind of ok. And the lying over and over. Aweful! I actually stopped at 95% because I found I just didn't care about the final ending anymore.

It was slow in the beginning. I kept thinking it will pick up when we come to the point that will have me enthralled. But I’m glad it was on Amazon because I would not have bought this book on Dreame or anystory app. It would cost too much. So thanks Amazon🤗
I got halfway through the book and gave up after the stomping, eye rolling, petulant and immature female lead got too much. How the male characters put up with her constant childish behavior is beyond me. Plus, the author uses commas when she should be using periods. The punctuation is atrocious. She needs a better editor.
a rewrite of Twilight if the werewolf and vampire grew up together and became a couple and then added the girl. Only they are both childish assholes, disregarding her wants and needs and forcing her into what they want, even thou they are both over 200 years old so they should know better.
Sooo many takes from Twilight Sooooo many, mostly the final book.
