Omg! This book tugged at so many emotions! I loved this series as a whole but this book took the cake. The toughest decisions are made in this book and so many favorite characters go through tragedy. The final battle happens and not everyone survives. Sophia gives up something close to her and she gains something as well. I cried, laughed, and got mad while reading the finale of this series. This is definitely a book for the mature of mind and heart because it does tug at the heart. For students it is best suited for high schoolers as an independent reading book.

THIS SURPASSES EVERYTHING.
this is my favourite book of all time and that's the best praise I can give for most books are my favourite, but this... this is exquisite... have can I function after this... 'I love you like the sun love the moon' this whole series is so dear to my heart I can't comprehend nor explain it... it's a feeling like I have never had before... this was life changing...
The story begins with baine and Liam searching for the Azaimperiai, in the anichi temple. - many booby traps!! AN OTHER CAVE-IN AND THEY ARE TRAPPED!! Julian flew to sophia to save them!! Emotional scene!! But the azaim DOESN'T WORK!!! sophia questions if she is the chosen one, they seek madame wells for she is a descend of Showana!! But she only tells 'you will get awnsers when you are most desperate' like that helps!!
Sophia trains with Luana and liam teaches his students to become soldiers!! Sophia spars with liam and tries to take his powers. Its effortless for her!! SHE TAKES EVERYONE'S POWER (transfers it into her and esis) with so much ease it's scary!! IF SHE IS THIS STRONG IMAGINE WHAT SHE AND AVA CAN DO!!!
Sophia had a nightmare about the future, the world was buring and she was the source!! Doya helps with Ava Marie and they work on their mother daughter relationship!! One time doya gives her her Regalia (only possession she has of her father) I am growing to love her too!! AND HE IS TOGETHER WITH BAINE!!
-one time maddie gets a vision and a seizure!! She completely went crazy!! Ezra discovered her cutting her wrists!! No one seems to break trhough her, not even her boyfriend drew who was literally tortured because of her!! She screams that winning the way is far more horrible than you can imagine!!
-sophia visits her and talks about her own experiences and tries to help her 'you can't poor from a empty cup, mads, your cup is empty..' she breaks down and agrees to seek help!! SOO EMOTIONAL AND REALISTIC
liam and sophia as parents IS BEAUTIFUL AND ENDEARING I LOVE THEM SOO!!!
Imogen is doing way better and she and cade even decide TO LIVE TOGETHER, same for Jonah and Jake!! They are building their own lives!! But still go over sophia and liam ALL THE TIME!! NOTHUNG CAN BREAK THEM!!
Lira is the traitor who told oleander about the resistance for he was torturing her familiar. Liam agrees banishment. She tells them about the anichi cave where sophia found the totem, go on the mission to save all the mission familiars- IT IS A MADNESSS SLAUGHTER!!! the familiars are noxited like death and the task force attacked them!!! THEY ALMOST WENT DOWN!! their familiars who are monstrous attacked, but Hudson's familiar who was a little snail, HAS EVOLVED INTO A MONSTER SNAIL AND ATE THE TASK FORCE!!! the teams managed to save a good number of familiars but not enough... many died and therefor elementai too...
But when they were escaping, they find 2 boys, IMOGEN'S LITTLE BROTHERS!! JAYMIN gave permission to EXPLODE THE CAVE!!! but before they could SHE SENDS AN EXPLOSION AND THE BOYS ARE HIT!!! HOW MANY MORE CAN IMOGEN HANDLE!!!
they hold a funeral, after luana and imogen hold a ceremony to let her cope, this is so beautiful, emotional, inspirational... i have no words... she plants a seed in a cup her brothers gave to her in rehab, she grows the tree, it symbolised new life...
Suddenly esis runs away and they find HIS HOME!! OMG THEY FOUND HIS FAMILY!! ALL KURBLES ARE THERE!!! IT IS THE CUTEST!! IT'S A SIGN OF HOPE!!! HE EVEN HAS A GIRLFRIEND (Buttercup) SO ADORABLE, the kurbles visit their house all the time
-one time maddie tells about the experiments oleander did on her!! He tried to take her prophet powers in a Darke Island prison were he tried to transfer her powers into evil stones!! It didn't work and he tortured her endlessly. I have no words for this kind of torture. Telling them helps her in her recovery
-they go hunting for oleanders real familiar, he is held prisoner in the Task Force headquarters!! Its a tiny rodent. Everyone hesitate except liam who wants to kill it and get over it. THEY MUST KILL OLEANDER!!! Sophia takes the final decision and tries to kill it BUT IT ESCAPED!!! OMG THEIR ONE CHANCE!!!! they fight the task force and blow up headquarters and managed to escape
-more howkei seek refugee among MIA!! She at last got away from micha after he hit her son!!! Liam agrees to help but Sophia almost sets her fire!! Until she understands her situation and have a long talk.
Liam's health is still shit...
One time they find prof Amber and they find a poster about hawkei zodiac: the children born on the solstice get their powers from the sun (fire), or moon water) because liam and Sophia are both born on those solstice they are extremely powerful AND THATS THE REASON LIAM CAN LIVE WITHOUT HIS FAMILIAR!!! WE FINALLY HAVE AN AWNSER!!!
they also discover symbools on the azaim, the anichi chief tries to read them but its nothing special UNTIL he reads the symbols of the Totem: the chosen one has to sacrifice an innocent soul most important to her or the Hawkei will extinct!!! OMFG SHE HAS TO SACRIFICE AVA MARIE!!! I FEEL SICK, PUNCHED IN MY GUT!!! I AM SCREAMING, CRYING AND I CAN'T BELIEVE OR COMPREHEND OR ACCEPT THIS!!! NO FREAKING WAY IS THIS REAL
The choice is unbearable, her child of the hawkei (family, children, friends, young, old, loved ones) IT'S IMPOSSIBLE
She keeps this to her self for a long time until vanessa does a reading with oracle cards, just like a witch did in book 3, they can't deny it any longer, to say liam was shocked is a huge understatement HIS HEART BROKE AND MINE BROKE FOR HIM
at last he is forced to suggests they give ava away... to keep her safe!!! HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF AGAIN!! I HAVE NO WORDS AGAIN. they decide for vanessa and Bren. (They need Imogen and Jonah too much)
-the tasks force ambushed them AND NOXITED THEM ALL!!! Julian managed to save liam and Sophia and Imogen in the nick of time BUT THEY LOST AMELIA AND JONAH!!! NO WAY!!!
They immediately plan to rescue them. Imogen figure out their location: THE SHIP!!! OMG THEIR HAPPY PLACE WITH SO MANY MEMORIES!!!
the mission is crazy!! So much happend I can't comprehend it all!!! In short, they find amelia being tortured by jill, a traitor student, HUGE FIGHT, Shopia killed her in a vicious way!! Amelia is brought home on julian, next they find prof chevelo, he is captain and a spy for tbe resistance, he leads them to the boiler room where jonah is TORTURED BY HALEY!!! NOT THAT BITCH AGAIN!!! BUT LIAM IS TROWN OFF THE SHIP!!! NO FK WAY I DON'T BELIEVE IT!! AND sophia is atracked by monstrous beasts AND IMPAILED!!! HOLLY FUCK SHE DIED!!! Esis healed her but she SAW NASHOMA!!! he led her to liam!! Who thought she died, he gave up... BUT HE STILL NEEDS TO SAVE JONAH!!! Jake is a madman and fights like crazy, haley ESCAPED!!! they unchained jonah and ran!!! LIAM RUNS INTO SOPHIA!!!
THE ship is turing, THEY PLAN TO SAIL INTO THE FORCE FIELD OF THE PEACE VILLAGE!!! THEY ARE PREPARING TO KILL EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE!! Oleander has spread propaganda like crazy about them dishonour the anchesters, blaming them for all the hate and death in the world and he threatens to kill and torture all insurgents and familairs!! prof chevelo takes to ship over and sails against a mountain. The team had managed to escape but the ship is on fire and everyone good or bad drowned or is on fire...
They bring jonah to the anichi river AND HE IS SAVED IN THE LAST MOMENT!!! I CRIED!!! SOO EMOTIONAL
at home doya asks Sophia to become chieftess for haley is dead. She declines for she doesn't want ultimate power. Vanessa becomes chieftess instead so she and bren can't take ava... Sophia becomes an elder in her council. Her ceremony is breathtakingly inspiring, beautiful, emotional and POWERFULL!!! SHE UNITES ALL THE HOUSES INTO ONE TRIPE!!! She walks fire coals and in her speech she asks forgiveness for all the hate an dmurder the Koigni did in the past and chief anichi, liam and jonah and Imogen (with help of her family) and doya vow to be united!!! and all hawkei unite with blessings from the anchesters in a beautiful Elemental display!!! IT WAS SOO BREATHTAKING, EMOTIONAL AND WONDERFUL!! THEY ARE ONE TRIPE!!!
Jonah's cabaret show: it was amazing, a bit of light in this dark time, jonah owned the show with his dragqueen performance and it helped him heal!! But after- JAKE PROPOSED TO HIM!! OMG I AM SOO EXTREMELY HAPPY!! MY HEART BURST!!! IT WAS SOO ROMANTIC AND I LOVE THEM!!
They choose to elope and have the wedding after the war, Jonah's parents and sister have been locked up, they are so cruel but Jonah is the better man and his sister at last defends him. jonah finally end his ties with his parents forever ready to start his real family
Squaks and Sabor have BABY HIPPOGRIFF'S OMG THE CUTEST!!
Doya and baine ARE GETTING MARRIED TOO!! THE CEREMONY WAS SOO BEAUTIFUL AND ROMANTIC AND EMOTIONAL AND I AM BEYOND HAPPY!! AFTER EVERYTHING!! LOVE WINS!! Liam married them and Sophia gave Doya away!!! Everyone was sooo happy!!!
-madame Wells gave Baine the anichi book of secrets. In it was information about the Azaimperiai the team finds the Azaimperiai isn't working because its powers were tranfert INTO THE SPIRIT TOTEM!!! THEY HAS IT THE WHOLE TIME!!!
She calls the anchesters but they can't help for they need to find it out for themselves, the ancestors are not abandoning then but TRAINING them!!
But then Toaqua hawkei try to kill Ava!! THEY ARE THEIR OWN and they have to give Ava away- doya told Shopia to give ava a chance to live, just like she did!! with all her love despite the agony, Sophia's adoption parents take ava away to Utah, her former hometown
This scene was to DEVASTATING for words, I don't have tears left to cry... imogen and jonah gave them a scrapbook with all their photographs and memories!! They gave little gifts to Ava (Hippogriff and fox night light so they will keep her safe)
In a cave The team finds chests with warrior armory of all houses, Showana LEFT THEN FOR THEM!! SOPHIA IS HER DESCEND!!!
Liam takes Sophia to the dragonvalley and showed her the reason they are fighting: we fight for our friends, family, tripe and for all the hurt and agony the enemy did to make a new tripe!! It was soo extremely emotional!!
But then the battle has arrived... it was the most horrible, torturous, draining, terrifying, heartbreaking, physically and emotionally hurtful, hell ever!!! Death, despair, destruction, agony and everything hell!!! Everywhere!! Literally all hope seems lost!! This battle will haunt my dreams omg
The battlefield took place in the same place asf the Elemental cup!!! In stages: first there were THE MINES!!! And they were attacked in the sky, so many death already!! Then the dragons broke from the sky to help but they were viciously slaughtered too
The task force has HARPOONS!! Esis puts up force fields and Sophia and liam fought on julian!! Elementai and familiars all fell from the sky!!
Imogen SINGLEHANDEDLY HAS SPIT THE EARTH To fire the mines. Fig from the Trenches but the nivita enemy BURRIED THEM ALIVE!!! No matter how hard the hawkei fought back, they were losing!!! The death was described in horrible detail!!
-mia fought micha and killed him,
Renar and mallory OMG NOT THEM AGAIN!!! Jonah gave him his wrath but couldn't kill a man begging THE BACKSTABBER retaliated!! Imogen attacked and killed him by pushing vines through his body!!! And sassy killed the cockroach!! They finnaly got their revenge and evanged Jonah!!
Mallory was killed too by cade!!! Finally they are gone!!! It all was complete madness
Sophia killed the asshole logan (from the club) who was harrasing a girl!! And hurting Esis!! She crushed him in her field!!
Sophia, liam and all their friends has turned into a killing machines!! But still are losing too many people and familiars!!! It is DEVASTATING
They need to retreat but then NOXITE GASS ERUPTS!! HOLLY SHIT!! (Thats why oleander was out of Noxite guns) luana ans sophia tried to put up the force field but was strong enough!! Even esis healing powers Wasn't enough for all the wounded!! The trenches are still being filled by nivita enemies and the Nivita chief sacrificed himself so the rest could climb out!!!
Hope is gone, they can't get to the elders, oleander isn't even on the battlefield and everyone is separated!! They cease fire and Oleander gives them until dawn to surrender... which seems their only option. Onyl jonah and Imogen seems to want to keep fighting... but their is nothing to be done, they will die either way, by being slaves or this war...
But then... wyatt is crying over a body... IT IS EZRA!!! NO WAY MY HEART BROKE INTO PIECES I CAN'T BELIEVE IT NOT EZRA NOOO THIS IS TO MUCH
he was killed by courtney (who was one of the sourves liam committed suicide) I have no words!! Ezra was wearing yellow warrior paint: a sacrifice!! I CAN'T HANDLE THIS!! Liam is in the worst agony ever... but whats even worse, stevie stayed home because SHE IS PREGANT!!! I AM DEAD!! THIS IS NOT HAPPENING NOO!!
Stevie lost the will to live at that moment, but she used her agony to fight back!! She gave the most emotional powerfull heartbreaking speech!! Ahich made all elementai wanting to keep fighting back!! I am speechless!!
Next stage they need to overpower the elders, they have to work together!! The Koigni is the strongest so doya sophia, vanessa and koigni go to fight then of!! But even they aren't strong enough to kill the bitches, doya shows incredibly strong magic like never before and managed to hold 1 off, but kilking seems impossible!! The fire reaches the sky and the heat is buring everyone!! At last doya and Sophia fight until Noami can kill the elder's her familiar!!!
The other 2 bitches have created a firewall so big it unbelievable!! The koigni can't get through or reduce the flames. The only thing is when someone uses all their magic, miranda and Lindsey SACRIFICES THEMSELF!! NOOO OMG I CAN'T HANDLE MORE DEATHS
They must move on, sophia is attacked by FUCKING HALEY!!! SHE HAS ESCAPED ON A DRAGON NO WAY!! Huge fight, haley is so ruthless and madness she burns her own people, anwara her OWN familiar KILLED HER!!! WHOA!! DID NIT THINK THAT WAS POSSIBLE!!!
Liam: he has to challenge oleander to a chief dual!! His team fight the other monsters and task forces!!, they create a HURRICANE!! to kinpago!!! To get oleanders attention!! Perot sacrificed himself so the Hurricane could be moved with his powers!! Julian he fights Skylis!!! Imogen and jonah fight 2 sea serpents!! Wells and her orca helped but were torn apart! The fight is CRAZY!!! OMG, later julian is fighting skylis alone and liam at last fights oleander who WAS TO MUCH A COWARD TO EVEN SHOW UP!!! He was literally the weakest toaqua but his powers even surpasses liam now, THE MOST POWERFULL CHIEF!!! It an unfair fight and viciius till the death!!! Stevie appears, after killing Courtney!!!and HER WAVE SURPASSES OLEANDERS!!!!

Oh My Stars and Garders!!!
The Soul Sacrifice (Hidden Legends: Academy of Magical Creatures Book 6) is the final book in this series. However, it appears a spinoff series is in the works. I'm over the moon for this new series coming out.
My heart my Esis. He is and always will be my favourite character in this young adult paranormal/urban fantasy series. I absolutely love all the characters especially the familiar.
The writing style is captivating and the writing is impeccable.
These two authors are extremely talented and sure chose the right genres to write in. Together they write fabulous stories with exciting characters and storylines, lots of plot twists and magical fun.
The epilogue was so flawless and perfectly written. So happy with the ending.
I'm not going to lie, I cried several times reading this end of the series. Its was captivating, heartbreaking and intriguing all rolled up to be a top notch read. Looking forward to reading more books by these two talented authors.

The Soul Sacrifice is a powerful and emotional installment that brings the series closer to its climax with intensity and heart. The magical school setting is still present, but the world feels even bigger now, with higher stakes and deeper consequences. I’ve always loved the theme of learning magic in a structured setting, but seeing how far the characters have come—from students to powerful, capable individuals—is one of the most satisfying parts of the journey.

The dual POV continues to be a strong point, offering a balanced and heartfelt look at both main characters. The male lead’s story remains particularly meaningful—his disability is never brushed aside, and it continues to be portrayed with strength, realism, and nuance. It’s refreshing to see such thoughtful representation in a fantasy series, especially when combined with elemental magic and magical creatures.

This book leans more into the emotional weight of everything the characters have faced so far. Without giving anything away, the tension and urgency are definitely building, and you can feel that the end is near. The Soul Sacrifice is full of magic, growth, and heart—it’s both a reckoning and a deep breath before the final leap.

I HAVE NEVER FELT SUCH EMOTIONS BEFORE OMG. I’ve never cried this much during a book series before but I’ve done it. The feelings I have for poor Esis can never be outmatched. That boy could burn down the whole world and I’d root for him endlessly.

Ermmm guys? I just finished the craziest book-series I’ve ever read. This shit is so addictive- it’s both amazing and entertaining, but it also sucks so bad. I love it.

This series escalated from 0-100 REAL QUICK. The first book was like «lalala I have magical powers, am going to Hogwarts and is going to participate in the Hunger Games, lalala». Second book was like «Oh Romeo, I cannot believe that our love is forbidden!», third book was like «Let’s play Indiana Jones and look for pieces of a prophecy!», fourth book like «HITLER, GENOCIDE, HOLOCAUST, CONSENTRATION CAMPS, AAAAHHH», fifth book like «We are on the run and find out that everyone who have died just pretended whaaat!! Also I’m pregnant and my enemy is my mother and my father is my teacher», and the sixth book is like «WAR!!! And death of like every loveable side character».
The plot twists of this series are very predictable, and the writing is so and so, but the idea, the world and the story is super creative and addictive. It’s not groundbreaking or especially GOOD, but that is what I love about this series😂
The characters are super interesting and loveable (except Liam), and I love that the series has a focus on disabilities, native people’s rights, LGBTQ and like, that Holocaust is bad.
This last book was a ROLLERCOASTER!! I think it was a bit rushed and could dwelled more on certain aspects (like important characters’ deaths), but non the less I liked it. I MIGHT have cried a bit the last 3 chapters. Maybe. A little.
Once again I repeat (from my other reviews): this series is a combination between Harry Potter, Avatar the Last Airbender, Hunger Games, Romeo and Juliet, and Indiana Jones.

This war went on forever. Way too many characters died. Even when it ended, the tragedy didn't. I know they won't live happily ever after, but I hope Sophia and Liam have a reasonably decent rest of their life. I bet everyone left suffers from severe PTSD.

I don’t know what to say as the Academy of Magical Creatures is coming to a close with the last book The Soul Sacrifice except that The Soul Sacrifice just may be the best one yet. I hated so much to see it come to an end. I am going to miss all the characters and their familiars. I am going to miss the magic and all the different kinds of magic and the cute familiars or magical creatures.

Sophia and Liam have faced battles and made sacrifice in other books but this time around their sacrifices will rip your heart right out. The Soul Sacrifice took me down roads I never saw coming. In The Soul Sacrifice Sophia and Liam will have you chasing after them as each page is turned rooting for them and wanting to help them. Most of the time The Soul Sacrifice will have you in tears but there are times when our sweet characters will have you rolling on the floor in laughter.

The Soul Sacrifice is filled with action from the first page with so many twists and turns that will keep those pages turning with never a dull moment in between. Sophia and Liam will have you racing after them as they fight to rescue all the familiars that elders have taken as well as fighting a war hoping to save the world and their family and friends.

I so love the world that was created for Academy of Magical Creatures and The Soul Sacrifice. The Soul Sacrifice answers a lot of questions as the story comes to an end on many levels. I hope to see more of these characters and their familiars in other stories.

I highly recommend The Soul Sacrifice to all paranormal and urban fantasy fans but I definitely suggest that you read the first five books in the Academy of Magical Creatures before reading The Soul Sacrifice. One click your copy today!

The Soul Sacrifice (Hidden Legends: Academy of Magical Creatures Book 6) ~~ Let me start by saying this — if you haven’t read the Hidden Legends universe by these two authors, you are absolutely missing out on one of the most spectacular, emotional, brilliantly written fantasy stories out there. I actually read ~~
This finale… good grief. Absolutely everything. Emotional. Devastating. Breathtaking. Hopeful even in the pitch black. The sacrifices in this book sliced right through me, and I cried more than once ~ real tears, not the cute kind. Watching these characters claw their way from pain to power was inspiring and honestly felt personal.

The friendships in this series are something I’ll never get over. Seeing bonds that carried forward all the way into *Soul Sacrifice* ~ and even referenced years later in the **Prison for Supernatural Offenders** books ~ gave me chills. That is the kind of storytelling that sticks with you.

And that final battle? **Epic doesn’t even touch it.** Magic exploding everywhere, life-or-death decisions, courage that shakes you to the core. Listening on Audible during the last chapters felt like standing right inside the fight ~ and I had to force myself not to pause just to make the ending last longer because I truly didn’t want it to end. The ending was brutal… and perfect.

If someone can read these books and not feel something deep, I don’t know what to tell them.

I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next series ~ Hidden Legends: University of Sorcery !!!. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

Already the final chapter in the Academy of Magical Creatures by Megan Linski and Alicia Rades. That great serie close with The Soul Sacrifice.

The finale battle againts the Elders. Sophia and Liam are prepare but they still need to make the Azaimperiai work and find the missing familiars that were stolen by the task force. And the meaning of the prophecy is finally revealed. Sophia will have to lose her life to save the tribes. She's not prepare to leave her daughter. Liam is also not prepare for his wife to make the decision between saving the Elementai for extinction or saving their family.

A really great book. I had a hard time put it down but at the same time I wasn't ready to say goodbye to those great characters. A lot of actions in this book. I really recommand this serie.

Everything comes to a head in this book. Sophia has everything she needs to fulfill the prophecy, but still struggles to put the pieces into place and follow through.

As you’d expect from a 6 book series that keeps getting darker, there’s a lot of character death, loss, and grief. I didn’t even remember who some of these characters were, because they’d only been mentioned briefly in other books, so the emotional impact was lessened.

Overall, I do think this series could have been shortened by a book or two and would have been better for it. But the world building, Native culture and magic, and familiars were enough to sustain me through the entire thing.

Yes, I'm a little mad contradicting myself here, but here goes:


I found the writing faultless, and the imagery divine (be prepared to cry) the only fault I could find was the amount of battle scenes and fights there were. It took me so long to read the book because I just couldn't take a fight anymore and I'd put the book down. (hence the four month read time)

I only read this book because I read the other 5 in the series. I may try Ava's book when I have a chance, but I'll definitely need a break first.

I'm satisfied with this end to the series. I don't know that I'm ready to start Ava's story. 😏 But the battle and resolution here felt complete and that's the best one can ask for with a long series like this.
A lot of things came together in the end. When the battle was winding down, I wondered about the key and if it had just been forgotten 🤷‍♀️ but they mentioned it.... so perhaps it's time just hasn't come yet? So in all it was a decent series. There's definitely things that I liked about the world.

The final book of the Hidden Legends series and by far the best. This book and my emotions ALL OVER THE PLACE. From joy, to sorrow, to stress, anger and then gut wrenching agony…. I cried so much through this story. The war went on for what seemed like ages and when Sophia realized what she truly had to give up? I lost it. Though there were some positive notes in this story and new growth coming into their lives, they still have a lot of rebuilding to do. I’m excited to see how Ava-Marie’s stories play out.

6 Great books, many pages read, lots of tears shed because i was upset and because i laughed so hard. So Many emotions went through me while reading this series. Im upset that it is ending but the next generation is to come i cant wait. Soul Sacrifice was just amazing to read. Liam Sophia Imogene and Jonah along with their familiars and companions will always be loved by me and i will reread this series many time

God, I loved this series. This book was way difficult to get through. There was so much death in this book. So many of my favorite characters died in this book and it made my heart hurt. But the death that hit me the hardest was her dondded animal. So many of them died but this one was one that got to me because not only was it meant to be it was a heartbreaking death that caused me to cry while reading this story. I can't wait to read the compain books to go with it.

I was not expecting the Shonda Rhimes level of heartbreak with this book or really series as a whole 😳 After the first book I immediately bought the rest of the series. I would’ve just sped read through the entire series in one sitting if I could’ve but I had to take a break to read some lighter stuff cuz of the heartbreak 😭
This is an absolute must read & the ending with the spin-off is perfect! Now I’m off to read that series 🤣

A beautiful but bittersweet ending

I can't believe that it's over! 6 books later and Sophia and Liam's story has come to an end.
It was beautiful, agonizing, magical...this story was EPIC!
A storyline that is so compelling, you can't put the book down. You just want to find out what happens next! This series will stay with me forever!

What a series

I listened to the first couple of these books as audiobooks and found the characters draw you into their world of elemental magic. If you love animals the familiars in these books will make you laugh, cry and just want to take home. These 6 books are a testament to finding your strengths and utilizing them to there fullest. A great read, I recommend this series.

I have to say this fast became one of my favorite series! Very well written and great world building and character development! This last book was an emotional rollercoaster! There was lots of sniffling and blowing of noses and then full on ugly crying. Ugh little Esis! 3 I cant wait till the series about Ava Marie comes out and see what her familiar is and learn her story after shes grown up!

Great series

Because I only write one review for the whole series it a summary. The first half was hard to put down. The middle dragged just a bit, but the final books in the series will keep you turning pages. In book 6 you will laugh, you will cry and be glad to have read this wonderful series. Thanks to the writers!

The dialogue tags were just as painful as previous books, and it took me a long time to get through it. The ending was worth trudging through the adverbs and “she said”s and “he balked”s. I am guessing there are several Easter Eggs in the series I missed because this is the only one I’ve picked up.

This book series as a whole was so much better than I ever anticipated it being. The characters all grow and evolve so much that they’re nearly different by the end. The plots of the different books were so good, and the subject of dealing with trauma and genocide was handled very delicately and well.

I cried so hard. thus book broke me and put me back together in a new way. the scene where ezras spirit came back to them and he put his hand on stevies stomach I was bawling. he knew. in his heart he knew yet he still went and got himself killed in battle. I think about it alot. but overall absolutely glorious, this series is my roman empire and is so under rated.

This book neatly wrapped up all the loose ends. It was perfect and gut wrenching and I loved the ending. I can't wait to read the following series about their daughter. This author really knows how to perfectly balance romance, action, and magic.

Brutal

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. Lots of death. Will need Kleenex at least once if not multiple times. War is brutal and the violence is pretty gruesome. Holes through chests and hooves through brains kind of gory. Then the hard part starts, rebuilding!

This series took me on a wild ride. I felt every emotion while reading this series. I cried with the loses and reveled in their joy. This is one of the best things I've read this year. Wow!!
