Alana and Dylan Norwood were young and carefree. After moving out of their childhood home, they were finally able to get from under their father’s ruling thumb and start a life of their own. But living alone proved to be more challenging than either one of them expected. With too much pride to go back home, it causes them to make impetuous decisions—thrusting them into a world of chaos.
Shiloh “Blaze” Parker and Ethan “E” Lewis are men with brains and all about their business. With a thriving construction company and prime real estate, they are now ready to transition out of the drug life and start the road to legitimacy. But, that proved to be easier said than done when their supplier refuses to let them out of their contract, coercing them into what they tried to rid themselves of—gunplay.
When a few unfortunate events places the four of them in each other paths; Alana, Dylan, Blaze and Ethan find out the hard way that lying by omission is still lying. Together they’ll see just how twisted untold truths can be.
This book was so good. It was the perfect first read of 2022! Alana and Dylan definitely met their match in Ethan and Shiloh! I love how the girls were about their money, smart but not afraid to get ratchet if you took them there. I loved the relationship between both couples. Great read, and perfect ending.
This was such a great collaboration. From beginning to end no stop laughter with a little drama and action sprinkled in. Ethan and Blaze definitely met their match with Alana and Dylan. Who knew chance encounters would lead to a match made in heaven! Also that little London was a ball of fire and sweetness! Great job ladies!
This collab was well written and held me hostage from beginning to end! All the chaos kept my emotions on a roller coaster ! London was hilarious and I loved Lani and D bond and their new found love for best friends/brothers! Ethan and Bkaze definitely them niccas! Great collaboration!
This was a decent read that I finished fairly quickly yesterday. The story kept my attention, making it an easy and enjoyable read. While it wasn’t my favorite, it was still a solid addition to my reading list. I’m currently working my way through this author’s catalog, and I’m excited to see what the next book has in store!
From start to finish I loved reading this story! The characters were hilarious and just down right family🥰. PSA don’t think you not gonna embarrass yourself reading about these sisters because you will laugh, cry, and downright curse them all out while reading through their journey in this thing we call life. Storm and Nesha have penned one for the record books 🤣🥰.
This story was a roller coaster! Just when I thought I knew what was going on, plot twist! Really enjoyed this collaboration about these two feisty couples forgoing their stuff out! Great job ladies!
This book was crazy had me laughing crying being mad at the men and that damn crazy baby mama I wanted to crawl in the book and strangle her myself I love this book I wish there was more
Didn’t like how fast this story was then the sisters were so annoying. They made they self struggle when they have a daddy with money who they claimed wanted them to move back home. How he wants y’all to move back home so bad but won’t help y’all? How y’all claim he won’t give you money and y’all don’t wanna ask but as soon as you get into an accident he was ready for pay whatever for you? How y’all acting like y’all daddy so tuff but ain’t did no helping through anything dangerous y’all went through? X was just unbelievably the boss and that whole situation was just lame and unbelievable. The girls AND men fell inlove at hello and what a coincidence they fell inlove with friends after 2 seconds.. you held yo virginity for 23 years, only to give it up to a Man U met a hot second ago.. fell in love off lame 10 minutes phone convos and 1 date. Just unbelievable. Fresh in the relationship all this bad stuff started happening and everybody have to save everybody cause everybody so inlove after 1 date… it’s just unbelievable. Then all you see is Blaze and E say “Nobody knew about this spot” but yet EVERYBODY knew… like you couldn’t even hide from yo nobody baby mama, let alone yo enemies and that’s sad.. why that lady was so inlove? Idk but you didn’t build a story in detail of neither of these people lives for us to even understand why everybody was so in love and that’s annoying.
This was a good ahhhh book! It kept me laughing and entertained. I love the characters and how it ended. There was never a dull moment and I’d read this one a hundred times over. Love love loved the collab! Very good story.
While I know this was a collab and I feel like I recognized some distinct Ladii Nesha moments. Overall for me, this lacked in a lot of areas. I know this is fiction, but I like some level of research when you’re speaking on certain things. For example: Lani being a medical student, who’s graduating after completing an “internship”, and all of a sudden she’s a surgeon. The authors actually used the word “intern”; instead of resident. Some details like that makes a difference and really took away from the story. Either way, I felt like the plot was messy and yet predictable. Not one surprising thing occurred, each plot twist it was obvious what direction the authors were going. Just not good. Sorry 🤷🏾♀️
First, I must say Storm & Ladii Nesha did that shhhhhhhhhi!!! Dylan, Alana , Ethan and Blaze are my favorite characters. They’re STRAIGHT HILARIOUS!!!! But the plot twist was wilding tho! I admire their bonds, their strength and their strong ahh head. They got their match, and they were meant for each other. All the laughs, tears, gasp, crying, mad, sad etc is all worth it. Pick the book and read it!
I liked the story but what I didn’t like was those girls couldn’t hold themselves accountable for the situations they put themselves in and always seemed to be someone’s else’s fault, I don’t know too many ppl who chooses stripping especially if they could simply go home. Most ppl I know who have gone down that path have done it simply because that was their last option. So I definitely understand why the other dancers were upset. It was never truly explained why they couldn’t simply go home other than them not wanting to suck up their pride. And admitting that maybe their dad was right.
Also the two main MMCs were cool. I don’t understand how Ethan was ever attracted to his BM like how was it so easy to hide her mental health issues. I liked how Dylan bonded with his daughter. They became a cute family, And Blaze definitely made me laugh and I liked him for Lani.
I struggled to get to 57%. The story is insanely unbelievable. I’m suppose to believe 2 sisters who never ever danced before. Starts dancing with no experience and they become the main event of the club after 1 night. The sisters had a wealthy father who was willing to give them anything, but they chose to struggle. Then Dylan was a mean girl. She was the issue, not the girls in the club. Her head was so blowed up that in her mind she was already saying everyone was jealous of her to the point where she was the one starting shit. Trina in my opinion wasn’t the problem. She wanted Trina to be a problem. I couldn’t stand Dylan. She was just way too cocky and needed to be knocked down a peg or two because she was definitely that chick that walks around saying everybody jealous of her when no one is actually paying her any mind
This book was very cute love story between two sisters and two best friends. I loved both of their bonds between the sisters and the best friends. London was the cutest and the funniest!! I screamed when she asked her dad to plant seeds in her grandma so she could have a brother or sister!!! This book touched different everyday aspects of life that are realistic. Mental health, the dads have a relationships after the passing of their mother, the cougar mother that still is age appropriate to still seek love, Alana still became a surgeon but the struggle with everyday life of bills and life. Everyone had a relatable story.
I love, love the characters and the humor in this book. Yes we got a happy ending and all, this book kept my interest from beginning to end. Blaze and Dylan had the funniest personalities which made their relationships great with her sister and his brother from another mother. Omg and London that little girl tickled me and she is so darn cute. Overall great book to read, bravo!!!
This was such a good read! At first, there was a lot going on, and I was just trying to get familiar with the four main characters. But once I got into it, the story just got better and better with every page. I loved every second of it. And the ending? It was exactly how it should’ve been.
This book was good from beginning to end! Dylan, Lani, Blaze & Ethan had me laughing & smiling the whole time. Little London & the parents were hilarious as well. They way the couples meet was twisted & crazy. Would love to read a part 2 from these authors! Loved it!
This book was so good! Loved the story and the characters. There were so many twist and turns and the book was hilarious. I laughed from beginning to end. There were some grammatical errors but I knew what the authors meant. So I was able to overlook them.
Man oh man, this was great job. ladies. These friends/sisters had me rolling. When you have the enemies they had, GEESH!! I'm not giving a dissertation for a review, just know it was a good book.
