All of us here have a role to play. A role I have voluntarily claimed to watch them crumble. A legacy that's supposed to destroy my family name. But the jaded illusions are starting to break too soon, taking me along with it. So why not play a game while we're at it? Why not just...give in to the cruelty of this town? After all, in our little game, there's no mercy, no friendship, and no space for emotions. The only title we can have is-
K.H. Kate is a University student, occasional painter and author of Contemporary and Paranormal romance books. She loves to venture into the world of action, dark romance, give happy endings with a little bit of tragedy and paint a world full of raw emotions. Born and raised AS A DREAMER, she has been writing for four years. She started writing to give life to her imaginary characters until they become stories themselves.
Ya'll, I have no idea where to start off with this book. So we start off in some tragedy that Kaya was involved in. Which we do get bits and pieces about that whole ordeal. Then we have have her hating on Johan. Why? Geez it takes a while to find out why but was I shocked. YES I FREAKING WAS!! I did not see that tidbit coming. So she hates someone who was her best friend at one time? So she is trying to pick up the pieces of her life since the accident and hiding some information. What is the deal with Johan? Why is he acting so weird and people call him a freak? So much is going on and then we get flashbacks and it kind of throws me off track but it makes sense later down the road. Its like enemies to lovers with Kaya and Johan. Except there is a lot of drama and we get tragedy. Do you keep guessing on what is going on? Yes! Will you keep reading? If you are like me then not knowing what happens could throw your whole day off! So the question is what will happen between these two characters. I was surprised with how it all ended but you are left wondering about the other characters. So check it out and let me know how you felt about this book. It is a pretty good start to a new series.
Amazing read! I love how the characters are so relatable to experience some of us had in high school, to some degree. Johan might seem like a bad boy but you can see just how broken he really is. I was so surprised with the love triangle in this book. I had no idea until it was actually mentioned i thought it was completely different. I loved every single one of the main characters. I don’t want to say to much since it will give away a lot of the story but you don’t be disappointed if you do read it.
Rival by K.H. Kate I really enjoyed this book . I literally devoured this this in one sitting. A lot twists and turns and there were time I was gripping my kindle but I don’t want to give anything away. I am definitely looking forward for book 2 come out !
