The Devourer's Oath is a fast-paced, full of detail story and with a very intriguing question, such "What would you do to safe your loved ones?". Meaning: how far are you willing to go for them? So, of course, Norindra, the MC, could be read as more of a villain, than a hero. Though, the more you read, the more you're unsure who's the actual villain in this universe.
And, talking about the universe, I want to credit Phoenix for her creativity. It was little, but the universe of Norindra felt so real. The different worlds and its people, the backstory of it all that is leading our characters to their destination...
I also enjoyed Norindra's and Ryonn's relationship. I would have liked to know more, but what we get made me smile for them.
I would like to say more: talk about Norindra's abilities, the battle, everything, but I want you to enjoy it without knowing much and, then, getting hooked in by the story (or, at least, that's what happened to me😅😅). I mean, it was short, but it felt like a lifetime adventure. Nevertheless, you could say I *devoured* The Devourer's Oath in one afternoon 😉. What's that? People leaving because that wasn't funny? Oh mate, I guess I'm sorry (not really).
Ejem, returning to the point: I really liked Phoenix's short story. It captivated me. It was not very hard to follow. The universe and emotions felt vivid. And I really recommend it if you enjoy villains MC/more dark leaning characters like me (mix up with my sci-fi/fantasy🙌).
