About the author

Wayne Jordan has been reading authors’ bios for years, and often dreamed of having his own Web site as a published Harlequin author. Years passed, and his dream of being published finally became a reality in 2003 when he received the call just two days before Christmas. In November 2005, his debut novel, Capture the Sunrise, was released by BET/Arabesque as part of a special 2-in-1 volume entitled Slow Motion, along with prolific author Devon Vaughn Archer.

Along with his career as a published author, Wayne is a high school teacher of literature, language arts and theatre arts. He’s a graduate of the University of the West Indies, and holds a B.A. in literature in linguistics and an M.A. in applied linguistics.

Wayne lives on the beautiful tropical island of Barbados, which with its white sands and golden sunshine is the perfect setting for the romance stories he loves to create.

Wayne loves reading and his favorite authors are Brenda Jackson, Maureen Smith, Lindsay McKenna, Tami Hoag, William Bernhardt, Nora Roberts, Tami Hoag, Catherine Mann, Delores Fossen, Julie Miller.

A good read

I liked and enjoyed the romantic mystery. An undercover police officer gets caught in a trafficking scheme. And she finds love in a fascinating way with an unlikely source.

BY HER COMMAND is a timeless story that blends romance and suspense. Taking the spotlight as the hero is Dane Richards. One of the coolest things about this character is he is not your usual billionaire, business mogul, CEO, hero type, but he is a high school teacher. I love it! Sharing the spotlight with Dane is Alesha Franklyn, aka Ebony, a police officer. Ordinary people? Nah, they are people who find themselves facing extraordinary situations.

Dane, the untrained, easy going teacher, and cinnamon roll hero goes into full blown action after Alesha is kidnapped while leaving the club. Believe me, fans, he is on it! There’s no question in his mind that he has to do something to help Alesha. No spoilers! Without a lot of flash and fire power, Dane does his thing. I love it! The HEA housed in the Epilogue is wonderful!

I thoroughly enjoyed BY HER COMMAND. It’s a compelling read. I recommend it for your reading pleasure.
