This was such a short read that if you blink you will miss something. It was only 61 pages so things moved quickly. At an early age, Elizabeth and Darcy knew each other. Since they were so young, Darcy thought Elizabeth was a ghost and Elizabeth thought Darcy was her imaginary friend. As they grew up, they could summon each other just by thinking of the other. It wasn’t until they actually met at the Assembly that they realized the other was real. They were still connected and could communicate with each other without saying a word.

Editing was a problem. Words that should be capitalized weren’t and that was just part of other problems. However, it was a cute story.

Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy have been 'mind linked' since they were small. They grew up together as each others pseudo imaginary friend, each not knowing the other was actually real. Imagine their surprise when the see each other face to face at the Meryton Assembly. The rest of the story allows are dear couple to deal with all the drama in their lives as they work towards their happily ever after.

A very interesting concept.
Almost a short story, ODC meet throughout their lives in their minds. They have a supernatural connection which gives them the possibility of speaking to each other in their minds and call to each other to meet wherever they are. They think they are each others imaginary friends. This goes one until they almost kiss. Then everything stops.

2 years later Bingley leases Netherfield, Darcy visits and que curtains!
Well there is a little more drama and a love match for Jane.

This works because it was so short. Well paced, the story moved so it didn't give you the time to think - really? how is this possible?!
Enjoyable and worth the read.

Missed the mark

This could have been an exceptional story but the writer hasn't bothered to try to develop the story or even the characters. The plot is unusual - suddenly as kids Darcy and Elizabeth are able to " travel " to each other and communicate through their thoughts. THIS should have been developed but is left as almost an afterthought. In their late teens they suddenly lose contact and were unable to find each other because in all those years they never exchanged full names and addresses?? And to be more unbelievable - they suddenly thought they had imagined these conversations that took place over years? It could use more work to develop it.

This was a quick read, and I forgave a lot for that. There were some instances of anachronisms, the use of the word 'cool,' as in 'awesome,' not relating to temperature, really threw me a page in. There are some editing mishaps, not much distinction in dialogue, and very fast paced, but damn if it wasn’t a cute, albeit sappy premiss. I enjoyed it well enough, though due to the lack of nuance and the straight forward story telling I can't say everyone will be as forgiving with it. Nevertheless, I am excited to see this author evolve, we could use more lighthearted fantasy in JAFF.

While a very unique story, it was in need of editing.

It almost seemed to be written by someone who is not a native English speaker. A few expressions were wrong, and sighted repeatedly used instead of sighed… lots of missing punctuation. The “wiseness” of something instead of wisdom. The story itself was cute and sweet, but under developed. All of the irritating aspects of this very short story could have been fixed by an editor.

Could have been good

Although the idea behind the story is fantastical, it could have been an entertaining read. The story does not appear to have been edited at all. The number of punctuation and spelling errors is astounding. Undertake a professional edit and maybe add an epilogue.

please proofread

It’s a wonder to me that this author has no one who could read the draft of this variation; it would have saved much angst. Secondly, how did Darcy and Elizabeth have this psychic connection and why did they abruptly lose it after decades? Weird story.

Lacking a lot of things

Needs an editor to flesh out the story lines, a proofreader to correct multiple typos, and a better sense of character development.

interesting

An interesting and unusual premise in this variation inspired by author Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice by Manuh Port.
