Draco's viewpoint, Eighth Year, after the war. Lovely story, brilliant dialogues, Draco's confession is wonderful.

"This strand, right here..." Draco reached up and trapped it between his fingertips; it was the long one, his most hated one that liked Potter's cheek. "I dream about it," Draco said. He dreamt about it a lot. Nearly every night.

"It was so bright I could barely see. I only recognized you because of your stupid, stupid hair. Stupid Potter with his stupid hair come to save me."

This fic wasn't completely flawless, but I enjoyed it so much I found the flaws easily overlooked. It felt a little more realistic to me than some other Drarry fanfics I've read: Draco and Harry slowly easing their way from awkwardness, to friendship, to something more. I loved the dialogue and (of course) being inside Draco's head (his thoughts never fail to entertain me). The entire fic was far too quotable. Here are some of my favorites:

The most popular theory was that Potter ran off to shag some oh-so-fortunate girl. If he were truly shagging someone for hours every day, it would at least explain the state of his hair.

As though through some unspoken agreement, they always ended up trying to out-nice each other.
Draco wasn't about to lose now. "Really, Potter, there's no need. You're studying. I only came here to stare at the empty walls and brood."

"Why is it," Draco said when Potter spotted him, "that you can stand your ground when facing a Dark Lord, but run like the wind when a little girl wants to give you chocolate?"

Potter looked up and stared at him for so long Draco had time to think of fifteen different ways to describe the brightness of Potter's green eyes.

"Maybe I should cut it. That never really worked well in the past, but who knows?"
Draco's grip on Potter's hair tightened. "Don't you
dare. Not ever, Potter."

Absolutely adorable 8th year story.

Harry's in the habit of using his invisibility cloak to escape his fans at school who follow him around trying to give him chocolates. Draco has taken to trying to find him... just to help him fix his hair, of course.

Draco comes across Harry in an alcove on the 4th floor, claims it's his special study spot, and they both proceed to try to out-polite each other into letting the other stay.

Even though it wasn't really his special study spot, after that day that's what it becomes. Harry keeps coming there too, and they settle into studying together.

An accident happens that makes both boys question what's been going on. Hilarious and just totally adorable.

Fun, fun story.

Favorite Quotes:
"Why is it," Draco said when Potter spotted him, "that you can stand your ground when facing a Dark Lord, but run like the wind when a little girl wants to give you chocolate?"

"Oh? Who's your fantasy person?"
Draco had to consider it. "A blurry, sort of undefined thing," he decided. "It gives good head."

But then Potter was nearly eaten by the grass, and Draco had to rescue him, which was kind of pathetic of Potter too, so Draco thought this thing between them might just work out in the end.

I think Harry's hair is the villain of the piece! Very cute story!
