I could not put this book down and I was not ready even when it got to the end. A vampire so modern yet so very sexy. Zand and Chanel were brought together based upon attraction and the air of mystery between them. Chanel was new to Chicago and in hiding from an ex who turned out to be absolutely nothing as he seemed to be. When she moves to her new building she immediately notices Zand due to his nocturnal nature and his revolving door of women. On a drunken night she begins to leave notes to the man she deems Mr. Vampire. Things strike up from there. Zand is sexy, mysterious, and forever the gentleman. He and Chanel connect immediately and one night turns into every night. Their relationship is steamy, fun, and flirty. Zand is a provider and protector and with Chanel he feels a craving beyond anything he has imagined before. Together they navigate this newfound relationship and each others fears. I loved every moment of this book, and its a perfect late night read.
This book was just what I was looking for! I really enjoyed this book and the banter between the characters. It was refreshing to read. Much different from the usual stuff I read. I really have a deep love for paranormal romances. Ms. Lace this was awesome. Looking forward to your next book.
3.00 Stars. (BW/WM). Kindle Edition 193 page novella e-book. Mr. Vampire, Alexander 'Zand' Valentine, is a wealthy real estate entrepreneur and owner of an upscale nightclub, The Castle. Zand has been estranged from his family and has abstained from ingesting human blood for many decades. The heroine, Chanel 'CoCo' Taylor, is a nurse who has fled to Chicago seeking refuge from her murderous crime lord ex-boyfriend. After seeing several women leave Zane's during the early morning and seeing that Zand only leaves hi apartment during the night, Chanel jokingly concludes that he is a vampire. Encouraged by her best friend, Chanel imitates a flirtatious exchange of notes with Zand calling him Mr. Vampire and him calling her Day Walker. This exchange is the prelude to the two meeting, dating and having a "one nightstand" that leads to a romantic relationship. The drama starts with entrance of Chanel's ex-boyfriend and Zand's ex-wife and ends with Zand killing Chanel's ex and with Zand's ex-wife secretly witnessing it and promising revenge. Zand lets Chanel know that he had always known that she was the one leaving the notes, he viewed her on his surveillance camera and is owner of the apartment building. I think there my be a book where Morgan, Chanel's best friend, and Harlen, Zand's brother have a romance and where Zand's ex-wife is the villain.
This was my fist Vampire book…….I have read books by this author in the past it has been a minute so I decided to purchase her latest book and I enjoyed it all the way through……Mr. Valentine and DayWalker were fire……Zand did not play when it came to Chanel they were fire together….I want to know more about Gilliam Teresa and Harlen…..I really felt bad for Morgan she is one of those best friends that you love to link up with……If Lolah Lace is reading the views….I hope their is a follow up book that is a bit longer so we can find out what will happen next to Zand and Chanel plus I have some unanswered but will not give away any spoilers their is a few errors but is nothing to distract from the enjoyment of the book…..I recommend this book and looking forward to the next….
What a book! I loved that Chanel wrote letters to Mr. Vampire because he never went out during the day. He covered that because he owned a nightclub and was there until wee hours in the morning. (SPOILER ALERT) The book was light hearted until the last chapters when the drama went into overdrive with Craig’s not “accident” which was caused by no other than Alonzo the psychopath. Zand was there to save Chanel and the first time she knew he really was a vampire. There’s one more kink, Zand has a wife, ex-wife, who shows up to see him dispose of Alonzo’s body. Is there going to be a Part 2 for us readers who want to know the full story?
Dear Mr vampire is a highly entertaining novel featuring sweet pediatric nurse, Chanel & 💯alpha apex predator Zand in an epic supernatural ❤. Channel had the misfortune to unknowingly have a boyfriend- Lonzo, a murderous drug Lord gangster . She left the state to get away from him & he came after her with evil intentions for leaving & being a potential witness to his crimes😨 Well, he made a big mistake😯. Zand saved her &mercilessly sent him pushing up daises😉I can't wait to read the rest of this 🌶🌶🌶📚😄
Chanel is supposed to be thirty something, but her actions were quite childish and undeveloped. The narrative pacing moved too fast for me. I was hoping for a slow burn, but instead we get a fanciful one night stand that implausibly turns into a relationship. The length of the book was too short. But WOW. This was a good one. A few typos, but overall I’m quite intrigued. There’s going to be a Book 2, right?
I love paranormal romance but the stories started to so similar that I just stopped reading them. This was a different take on vampire love story. I couldn't put my Kindle down. I can't wait for part 2 and 3. Thank you Ms. Lace you just become one of my 1click authors 💯💯💯💯💯💯
This was good! It had a couple of spelling errors but it was still enjoyable and the errors were not that distracting, at least to me. Please write a second book because this felt like a cliffhanger plus there's more question like how did he turn to a vampire? Where's his brother and whats his EX-wife planning. Yeah there's needs to be a 2nd part. Please don't leave us hanging.
When I read the excerpt, I knew it was going to be a good book! I was not wrong at all! It was a fun read especially the interaction between Chanel and Zander and the little love notes. I think there will be a part two, I'm hoping there is and I am looking forward to it along with other books from this author!
I had this book on my TBR list. It had everything. It was funny and new. Channel the daywalker and Mr. Vampire we're the perfect couple. I wish Zander was able to keep his secret. I would love to read more about these two. I hope there is a baby for Chanel she really wants one.
The book was very good well written I love the story I would love to read part two since Mr. vampire ex-wife seen him dumped a body of Chanel‘s ex boyfriend the next book should be really good I want to know if Chanel gonna let-him bite her she can turn into a vampire or she’s just gonna stay human. really is a good read
Although I could have done without some modern day references, this book was pretty good. I would have loved for the last couple of chapters to be the starting point for this book. It would be nice if there’s a second book because I certainly want to continue following this drama!
I read this story because of a review I liked. It lived up to the review. I really liked the letters. Such humor. Chanel moved to Chicago to get away from an ex. Zand is Mr. Vampire. They exchange letters that are humorous. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. If you also liked this story please leave a review like I did. From a New Fan... Pam James.
I enjoyed the progress of the relationship and how the writing was easy to read and follow. Wanted more relationship building maybe in next book. What will Teresa or his brother do?
This was very good plot and great characters I'm hoping for a book 2 will read more from this author, I will say the ending came quick almost like incompletion but I still enjoyed it
I enjoyed but would like part 2 or it will seem unfinished. It would like to see how the characters play out and develop. I would like to see a pregnant coco and more of the ex wife.
Please tell me there is a book two. This book was amazing and the last two chapters eluded to more. I really hope there is at least one more book I have so many questions. I’m looking forward to this story continuing.
I love the originality of this romance, suspenseful, paranormal story! Chanel and Zander story has all these elements and more in it. Can’t wait for book 2!
This book is the bomb. I don't usually read these kinds of books, but this was awesome. Please don't leave me hanging, I'll be waiting for book 2. Thanks
3.5 stars It was funny and entertaining but somehow, it felt like the story was missing something. I guess we will get a chance to fill in those missing pieces as it was an open ending.
