I've been on an accidental pregnancy/surprise baby romance novel binge lately for some reason, so this book was perfect for me to sink into. We get to see Mike from Book 1 as he navigates the situation, and his love story with Andie is fraught with lots of learning and growing. It was nice to see them grow into their relationship and figure out their happy ending. Looking forward to reading more in this series!

The cast of characters in this book is unbelievably amusing and neurotic, but always for either those that matter to them or, causes that matter to them. Mike, unbeknownst to the majority in the security firm, is co-owner of the business with Jason. Jason is the frontman, the wine, and diner, the one that secures the contracts normally. On this evening, Mike is the one stuck in the penguin suit securing a contract with a female client. She is more worried about scoring with Mike than a good deal in with the contract.
So, when Mike spots, Andie one of the servers, he tracks her for a while and then, notices her talking to a past client, a general. He secures a drink and, heads their way. Since the rescue of the general’s son was a success, he was on first name basis. But, given they’re both past servicemen, Mike gives the man his honor of the title, garnering respect, and a hug from him, like family. Impressing, Andie. The General introduces, Andie to, Mike. When she excuses herself to go back to work he asks the general if he’s known, Andie long?
With humor, knowing, Mike's interest in her, he explains that they had just met that evening. She is just a sweet young lady honoring a nice old man by talking with him so he didn't feel lonely. He said he could tell Mike was interested so he should go look for her but have a good cover story she went into the kitchen and hadn’t returned. What neither knew she was having a panic attack in the bathroom. She had been eyeing, Mike all night but she felt bad because he's married.
Does Mike get his shot, and when he does? Will leaving the country on a mission affect them getting to know each other? This is funny their friends Jason and Christy are great, I love his mom, and feel for her twin. Red is going down but it's going to be a hard sell I can tell.

Mike is the second in command of the security company, well he is co-owner but would rather be in the field rather than in the office doing business side, that was what Jason, his best friend and co-owner did now that he was married and had a baby. Mike was at a fundraiser when an angel caught his eye.
Andie was a server at this fundraiser and she could not keep her eyes off of this green eyed giant. He did something to her but he was there with his wife and she was not a home wrecker.
They were introduced and had a brief conversation until she excused herself because she had to go back to work. What she really did was hide in the bathroom because shouldn’t stop thinking about Mike, the green eyes giant. After the event he was waiting for her outside and after talking a little more he told her that the woman he was with at the fundraiser was a client that hired the security firm he worked for and not his wife. He convinced her to allowing him to drive her home so she was t walking home alone in NYC. When Andie woke up the next morning she was pleasantly sore and Mike was no where to be found she was shocked and sadden. 10 weeks later she was able to track him down to tell him so news. The news will change both of their lives. I really liked this book and showed how not so tough Mike really was.

This is the second book in the series which I was hoping for a little more than what was written. Andie at times was a little annoying and I didn't care for her much. At times she was funny and other times she was downright aggravating. I could have been one of the characters in this book I'd slap her completely. Mike was somewhat over the top also. I know men can be too much however, he was just that. Overall I still enjoyed this story and look forward to reading Avery and Red's story next.

Loved this story, especially the "off the page" sex. As a result, the story was center stage instead of the usual sexual aerobics!
That being said, the emotional chemistry between Mike and Andie, had a chance to grow and develop before their "surprise" made an appearance.
Mike's mother is hilarious and added lots of laughter to the story!

Steamy Surprise Baby Romance
Unstoppable, book 2 in the Heroes of Calvano Security series. Mike met Andie at a work function and they spent one incredible night together. Due to work commitments they were apart for a few weeks when Andie found out she was pregnant.
This was a great read and I read it in one sitting.

Tough Guy Comes Through
Fun story following two people that had a challenging beginning. I really enjoyed seeing the tough guy rethink things he thought he didn’t want until he did! Appreciated the epilogue and an expanded HEA. Highly recommend!

A lovely romance, I wasn’t happy with the one night stand and how Mike behaved, but Angie made him pay for it big time, and I loved that. A sweet story, with a little drama and no angst.
