T.K. Leigh, otherwise known as Tracy Leigh Kellam, is the USA Today Bestselling author of the Beautiful Mess series, in addition to several other works. Originally from New England, she now resides outside of Raleigh with her husband, beautiful daughter, three cats, and special needs rescue dog.
When she’s not writing she can be found training for her next marathon (of which she has run over twenty fulls and far too many halfs to recall), having impromptu dance parties with her daughter, or planning her next trip to parts unknown.
Angstful, age gap with older heroine and Hawaiian setting. The last two I truly loved, the angst is on me, because I haven't read the blurb properly... the whole series with cliffhangers which I discovered now too... so obviously a wrong pick for me at the moment because I hate to wait for the last book. Maybe in June I'll come back to it. Now it seemed too slow for me, but I liked the characters, so let's see what mood I'll be in in 5 months...
T.K Leigh has done it again. Attraction: Appeal, Allure, Magnetism this story encapsulated all of this and more. So we have sweet 🧁🎂 Julia from the Possession Duet. She is the adopted sister to Weston Bradford an architect in his family's firm in Atlanta. So things happened in Julia's life 🧬 which brought her to a working vacation in Hawaii. She's divorced her husband and her business The Mad Batter has taken off and become a worldwide 🌍 sensation. So we meet Lachlan a baseball player in Atlanta whose sister has just died and the reason, suicide, he can't come to terms with. Claire was the last of his "family" and he has not been able to shake the feeling that she didn't commit suicide. So he is back in Hawaii where his mother is from. His father was Australian and mother grew up in Hawaii so he has people still there he considers his family. So he is in Hawaii to clear his head. So this story is definitely intriguing with the chemistry between Julia and Lachlan Hale. I can't wait to read the first book 📖📚.
This is a sneak peek at T.K. Leigh's upcoming 4 book series. If you ever want to know if a series of hers will interest you, just check to see if it has one of these free prequels. These little books usually set up the series and give you a good idea if you would be interested in purchasing the books.
Attraction sets up book 1 in the Temptation series, Temptation. I was immediately hooked in the story. We are introduced to the main characters of the story, Lachlan and Julia. Lachlan is a professional baseball player going through a hard time and sent home to come to terms with his situation. Julia is divorced, about to be 40, and reflecting on her life. Lachlan and Julia meet while in Hawaii and the stage is set. The attraction between the two is undeniable.
I can't wait to see how their story plays out in this series.
A prequel to a new series that's already being announced gonna be a four books series, this prequel is a slow Mo. An introduction to the characters. Not nearly enough to wet my appetite though. How ever, their sizzling initial connection is a promise to more sizzling chemistry. Let's see what happen when the first book is out.
I had read the ARC for Temptation, and downloaded the prequel after hoping for something that wasn’t in the book. It really was just the first 5 or 6 chapters, if you aren’t sure, check it out. If you’ve bought the book, don’t bother. It is a good lead in if you are trying to decide.
We are truly in for quite the ride with this story. The angst is already flickering and stoking the fire. This prequel sets the stage for the epic story that will unfold with Lachlan and Julia. Better buckle up. It’s going to get bumpy.
I think the title of this book is very fitting. The stage is set for an epic story between Lachlan and Julie. The chemistry is oozing between these two people. Will Lachlan and Julie give in to temptation. You got to read to find out.
3 stars. Digital book. I feel like I read this out of order? It was basically the events of the first third of book 1 but it used different words than book 1 does. Not entirely sure what the point was here but marking it a prequel feels misleading.
No one does a cliffhanger better than T.K. Leigh. She leaves me dying to know what happens next. She leaves me pondering the possibilities. I am the one stalking my kindle on release day for the next book. My family will be warned not to bother me. I will be reading, no, devouring the next book.
Attraction is the prequel to Temptation. We are introduced to Lachlan, a baseball player, going through troubled times. He has been told to go home and chill. He goes home to where it all began.
Julia has arrived on the island, lost in her own success. She is doubting all that she has done. She is exhausted, finding peace on the beach of Hawaii. Her friend is pushing her to open up, to live, to celebrate turning 40.
One chance meeting after another has me screaming they should be together. Is Lachlan too troubled to let her in? Will Lachlan's past control his future? Will Julia learn to let loose? Will Julia find the happiness that she has been evading for too long? I cannot wait for Temptation to release so see if I get to happy dance, cry, or both.
