Sienna

After the death of her parents, Sienna has grown up under the thumb of her cousin Lucien, the Italian mafia boss. In return for a college education, she must marry a man of his choosing and become a pawn in his alliance with the Russian-American mafia.

Now her deal with Lucien has come due.

Sienna finds herself surprised by her new husband, Viktor. He’s quick-witted, surprisingly gentle, and undeniably attractive.

But beneath it all, is he the same brutal, ruthless killer as every other made man she’s ever known?

Or is he willing to sacrifice everything for her and set her free?

Viktor

Born into a restrictive mafia world, Viktor has risen to hold his place as a mafia godfather. But deep inside, he wants nothing more than to be free of the world he was born into.

Except, there’s no way out without destroying his family’s legacy and destabilizing the organization.

But when he marries beautiful Sienna Esposito to form an alliance with the Italian outfit, he finds himself rethinking everything.

When it comes down to it, can he make the choice between a future with his wife or abiding by centuries of restrictive tradition?

Sienna: too naive and I hate women in the mafia that play dumb like they don’t know the circle and the men they grew up with.
She betrayed him when she should’ve asked her husband that never gave her any reason to doubt him.

Viktor :this man was perfection. He was caring, loving, considerate. He always putted her first before his needs he gave her the first thing that any human could possibly want.

Story: like any low rated book there is always the potential but it’s not exploited as it should be.
The writing that just gave major wattpad and 365 vbz which is unacceptable for a published book.
I didn’t feel the passion, I didn’t feel that they love each other. the on my thing I feel reading this hole thing was the smut, Al dough am not complaining it’s not the only thing I wanted to feel

Disappointed and I honestly think I’ve been fair.
What I enjoyed was their relationship, it started as a marriage of convenience but turned into cute love.
I didn’t mind the age gap, I loved it.. it may be a lot but I just love a good gap.

What I didn’t like was how in inconsistent they felt. First they hated each other, then loved and then wanted to tear
Each other’s clothes off.

“Then he got up without bothering to clean up the mess he’d made and ordered room service.”

WHAT?????? HE DIDNT BOTHERED ??? (OG comment on book)

“Are you going to clean your cum off me at some point.”
He glanced at me. “What’s the point? I’m going to fuck you again after breakfast. And probably before lunch, and then after lunch too.”

So!! I get the breeding kink but anything else, nop.
Semi liked the book

Wow I loved this one so much more than the first one, the had all the steam and enough plot to keep me engaged. I think this book was well paced and didn’t feel too rushed for me although I will say the ending was slightly unrealistic for a mafia book although I didn’t really care. My only “issue” was the slight ow and om situation(no cheating), I just felt as though it wasn’t needed and the comments made by the hero and heroine about other people left a sour taste. Super enjoyable short mafia book and would definitely recommend.

The smut in this book was hella hot & highkey surprising and I did like the MMC but there were way too many typos for me. “Wandering” when it was supposed to be “wondering”, “lair” instead of “liar”, “forgot” instead of “forego”. I feel like this could’ve been even better if it was just given the proper attention.

Also if I had a nickel for every mafia arranged-marriage book I read where the FMC is obsessed with birds, I’d have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

DNF- Honestly i was soooo dissapointed. I kept trying to get through it but i just couldnt. I previously LOVED captured light but this book felt like a huge step back especially for Lucians character in the way Sienna describes him. I felt like the author cannot make up her mind on if Siena was innocent or if she was adventurous in her sexuality, and the flip-flop was too much for me. I just did not feel a spark between these two characters it was a lot of dialogue but nothing that gave me any chemistry between the two. I was really rooting for Viktor for most of the book, he seemed very gentle and caring for Sienna but I honestly could not stand her this was a DNF for me

Misogynistic MMC ✔️
Man whore MMC ✔️
Dumbass FMC. ✔️

um he’s a man whore it made me sick to my stomach when he told the bar owner he wouldn’t turn her down if he wasn’t married WHY MAKE FICTIONAL MEN SO GROSS WHEN REAL MEN ARE ALREADY GROSS 🤮 and the mmc was so misogynistic it was disgusting and revolting how he disregarded the fmc. I just wanted the FMC to like run away or something that man did not deserve her even though her character was BLAND and like stupid . THE MMC WAS SO FUCKING DRAMATIC ALL THE FMC WANTED TO DO WAS PREVENT WAR BUT HE HAD TO BE A FUCKING DRAMATIC ASS BABY ABOUT IT AND LEAVE HER WITHOUT LETTING HER EXPLAIN. There was zero chemistry all they did was have sex i found myself skimming the smut parts as they were so repetitive. Viktor is one of the worse mmc i have read in a book. This book made me mad i hate you tiktok for recommending this to me

Captured Solace is the story of Sienna and Viktor.

Tropes:
-Marriage for alliance between the Russian and Italian Mafia.
-Age gap
-Pls don’t read if you don’t like mentioning of blood and also having sex while on period because that happens in this book like I’m all for no judgement but like really you couldn’t wait a 5 days to a week for your wife to stop bleeding and fucker took her the night after claiming her with his giant dick.
-Insta love I think or insta obsession on Viktor’s side but he hid it well.
-She betrayed him because he kept secrets from her about war and it apparently wasn’t womanly of her getting into mens business. Then the shit walked out on her without giving her a chance to explain as to why she did that. She deserved to be left alone and them separating for a while but not for 6 weeks with no contact at all jus him on his boat watching her from across a distance. He left her with nothing but am I love you and squirts of cum of the floor from their emotionless fucking.
-Alpha-hole, godfather mafia boss. He degrades her and praises her and says good girl and it made me melt until he turned into dickhead mode. Barely any BDSM but he likes blindfolds and tying her hands up. He’s very possessive and secretive. Her first time was nice with the roses and how caring he was. Also hated his past with Yulia and that kind of played a big role as to why he couldn’t love her and how secretive he was. Like he got her pregnant and then his father snapped her neck right in front of him until he was killed by Italian invaders. Faking forgiveness wouldn’t have worked with me. I wouldn’t forgive my father if he killed the love of my life right in front of me.
-Innocent, confident, happy, fiery heroine. I honestly loved how she was so confident one minute then her husband came and she melted. I hated that she betrayed him but she was trying to prevent an all out war between her cousin and her husband due to Viktor secretly conversing with the Irish mafia.

In Lucien’s and Olivia’s book I thought he was older and like a dilf but the author made him seem young and lively but also cold and disconnected at the start. I loved Lucien but he seemed like such a dickhead in this book. Like full turn off. I liked Viktor and the smut didn’t hurt which was good. But most of the time it was then worrying if she was going to get pregnant and all like I’m all for protection but like use a condom and don’t risk the chances. After she betrayed him, he couldn’t trust her so he essentially left quickly with a quick fuck that was emotionless and one sided. For 6 weeks she was in a depressive state till she finally went out with Magnolia, a nice middle aged lively woman who lived beside them. She was going to fuck some Australian dude but instead Viktor was there as well and got instantly jealous and was like “He looked up at me, his jaw set. “I gave you romance the first night I fucked you, baby. You won’t be getting that here.” Like I fucking get you’re mad and shit but don’t take it out on her like she made you breathe again and be a decent person while also making you open up and finally realise that this mafia bullshit isn’t for you. And they were at the bar and the first 13 chapters of their relationship was awesome and very smutty but towards the end I would jus say it was forced and I felt like the writer extended it for so long. Anyways we get a HEA and they have a kid Porter until they figure out the don’t want anymore since she got sick and on bed rest while preggers so he gets the snip.

Solid 4.75/5, only got these points for the start and the smut.

Not a fan of the ending.. but it worked. 🤍🤍

Captured Solace by Raya Morris Edwards is the 3rd book (standalone) in the Captured Mafia world.

Tropes:
✔️ Mafia
✔️ Forced Marriage/ Virgin 👰‍♀️
✔️ Kinks
✔️ Age Gap

D**n Viktor and his dirty mouth!!! 🤍👄 so hot. The spice is so perfect. Sienna on the other hand got on my nerves sometimes. This was the more traditional forced marriage for a mafia alliance tropes, but I still enjoyed it and the evolution of the relationship. I really loved the chemistry they shared and the banter was perfect. It was very hard for me to hear any bad mouthing about my LOVE Lucien, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Also not a huge fan of they ending and I was without much closer, but it definitely worked for the characters and their story.
A few inconsistencies from Captured Light, nothing earth shattering but there.

POV: Duel 👩🧑
🌶 starts: About 20%

✨“Is that what you need, baby girl?” he said, his voice husky. “Do you think you could behave if I made you come…work all that attitude out of you?”✨

3.5 Is That What You Need Stars ⭐

Although I wouldn’t say that this book was brilliant, Captured Solace was an entertaining, age gap, mafia read that kept you flipping pages and devouring it. I prefer when the dramatics of mafia ties are in the background and the relationship is at the forefront and this delivered.

“What can I do to tame you?” he said, his pale gaze boring into me. “I have a feeling orders and punishment aren’t going to work with you. So, what do you need?”

You could understand why Sienna has such a pissy attitude. When her cousin / guardian marries her off for an alliance, it’s never going to be hearts and roses. However, Sienna is aware of the misogynistic values of mafia life and should have been more appreciative of landing Russian Boss, Viktor.

Could a mafia don be as perfect as Viktor? No really the guy oozed sex appeal and charm and had patience in spades. His relationship with Sienna was awkward at first but he took the time to gain trust of his new wife (more then she deserved at times). Their official wedding night was divine!

“Maybe I like the idea of keeping you,” I murmured. “Spoiling you, giving you what you want, keeping you satisfied. Putting you in pretty clothes and fucking you until you’re pregnant with my babies.”

I wasn’t pleased with Sienna’s immaturity at times and Viktor had his hands full which I guess ruined it for me. But I intend to binge the entire series since I’m a sucker for good girls getting it on with filthy bastards. And I know that’s exactly how its going to play out with the other characters!

Cover: Nothing much
My Rating: 88/100
Overall: Great
Page Turner: Definitely
Recommend: MATURE READERS ONLY

COMMENTS: I've had this on my to-read list for a while and I'm glad I finally got to it. There wasn't much to the plot of this story, and I both like that and didn't like that. Liked it because it was so hot and steamy, and that's what I like about these books anyway that I loved all of those moments and there were so many of them, from both perspectives. Didn't like it because the conflict that tried to be the problem didn't make so much sense. I don't know if there are other books to this that may make the conflict make better sense or more meaningful, but it just wasn't enough to bring that umf or actually seem like a problem. It just seemed like two spoiled brats who didn't get their way and decided to through hissy fits that didn't benefit anyone. Also, I usually love epilogues, but this one seemed a little out of place. One thing I couldn't do was imagine the two characters, I couldn't put a face to them for the entire book, I don't know why. I saw their individual features (like hair and eyes) when they were described, but I usually like to see the characters while I'm reading, but I couldn't do that with this book. Overall, I loved this book, very spicy and smutty. Would definitely give this a thumbs up and would definitely recommend anyone to pick this up and enjoy.

I am not gonna lie I skipped a large chunk of this book. It seemed promising at first but once I got half way through I found myself quite bored. Don’t get me wrong the spice is this book is very good but I wasn’t a big fan of the character development. I’m not sure if my review is misinformed as I am going through a different reading phase but it just wasn’t enough to keep my interest. I might try again at a later date when my reading phase is within this genre. Spoilers!!!!I am also not a fan of a third act breakup where they try to sleep with other people just to get back at each other, like come on now!

Mixed Feelings 😬😬

Lets start with the obvious deal breakers here. The spitting in one’s mouth is grotesque! I have never in all my life knew that people did that! I guess I learned something new. Also, there is a thin line between sexy talk and downright degradation. Some of the things Viktor said to Sienna was appalling! But, I kept reading due to my ever growing curiosity.

Those were the key points I wanted to focus on. Other than that it was a typical mafia romance. Domineering husband with a wife he controlled to no end. Yeah, Sienna had a mouth but, ultimately she fizzed out like most heroines in these stories. Also, I had no clue you could literally write about sex in EVERY chapter? Heck ! I thought I may of been pregnant after I completed this book! It was just a tad overkill and I only

It was okay I give it 2 stars , at the beginning of the story it was kind of good but after he had sex with her literally they had sex every two seconds when they were angry when they were sad when they were happy with the way because it was too much sucks like I couldn’t see the relationship of the characters become better about there was sex and the ending was that he left the mafia and they live in another house now he wouldn’t let her work, also it was 90% Smut and 10% Plot , it’s starting to get a tiny bit boring because of how much smut was going on

This book was surprisingly very very good. It was angsty and beautiful. Who could have thought a mafia romance would be deep and poetic? I was afraid Viktor would be a horrible man but thankfully he was the sweetest, kindest ever. He sacrificed his whole mafia thingy for sienna and always supported her

If I was in a better mood, I would have written a very detailed sophisticated review but it is 3:49 am and I am tired. this book was a wonderful experience and I wish it hadn't ended so soon. 4 stars cuz they named their son Porter.

ending was ok

Enjoyed the book; sweet and short. However; I think the last few chapters ruined it for me with the new girl character being introduced. It felt like the main character would have been interested if he didn’t meet his wife, so left a bad taste. Especially when he was complementing her body the same day as his fight with his wife. Felt like being set up for a new relationship.

I fucking regret reading this book even after reading the reviews. He was literally manhandling her and she was Ok with it? I never felt the connection between them and hell I didn't care when they got separated!! I felt like he never really care about her. And whole book was just fucking smut! This book was not for me. I am so disappointed. He was literally controlling her in the whole book. And there was no plot just freaking smut.

Viktor and sienna

So this doesn’t have much mafia drama in it. It’s not a dark romance. It is arranged, older man, Russian/American, virgin, and many kinks. There is tons of spicy pages tons. It was more of a love spice romance than anything. Very descriptive, but there is intense love. In my opinion the HEA. Could have been a bit better. it seems we went through pages of drama and then poof done.

I was wrong to think reading the second book in this series (I think) because it’s a bratva romance would redeem the Italian mafia one. But it didn’t. I regret reading this as well. I’m pretty sure I lost brain cells reading the book and knowing damn well some readers will find it amazing and romantic also made me rethink my life choices. It was better than the other book. But don’t be fooled. It’s still not a good read and it’s still just boring misogynistic smut.

I liked the different approach to the MMC being in the mafia. I also liked that the MCs talked extensively about what they wanted in bed before actually committing to the act. I would have rated this higher, but the mafia plot felt badly resolved. The mafia plot was built up very well until the MCs had the third act breakup; then the plot was wrapped up too quickly without really fixing the issue.

It was pretty good if you're looking for something spicy, mafia and still a little sweet. Though there isn't a huge plot regarding the mafia businesses.

If you like mafia, arranged marriage, age gap, he fell first, bratting, hand collar, period spice, breeding, toys, virgin/experienced... Go for it

Five Star Worthy

Holy smokes! I’m an avid reader & this is one of the hottest books I’ve read! SO good! I love how it’s not the typical ******* controlling mafia hero. Love how Sienna is reserved and doesn’t just immediately turn into a simp. I loved everything about this book. Can’t wait to read more by this author!

Not your ordinary Mafia story

So this story picks up towards the end of Captured Light. Viktor collects Sienna and takes her straight to his place in the States. Sienna upset at being used as a bargaining chip is not happy even though this was something she agreed to.

Viktor who is the Russian Godfather isn’t like Lucien and the other Dons. He’s older and wiser. Knowing that Sienna is a virgin he takes his time and makes sure that she’s ready to be his. He acknowledges that he has particular tastes and it wouldn’t be easy for someone with no experience to fully enjoy or appreciate his taste. He takes it slow so that Sienna can enjoy sex like he does.

This book is mostly about Sienna’s and Viktor’s love story. With lots of spicy scenes, I don’t know if I would classify this as a mafia book. Yes Viktor wants to start a war with the Irish but there is very little story surrounding this.

wow just wow!

Wow, so I figured this book was going to be good, but I didn’t realize it would be as amazing and emotional as it was! I loved this book so much! And as steamy as it was there was so much more to it than that! I loved watching their connection grow and seeing them fall in love while they both fight and wish for something other than the mafia lifestyle

Hot & Interesting

I enjoyed all the smutty scenes. They were super spicy. The grammar and sentence structure could have been better. It made some of the story hard to understand. But an overall good story. I’d suggest it to anyone looking for a fast burn and easy short read.
