This novel was written to wrap up the stories of the characters I'd been writing in Portals to Whyland. It was fun to wrap up everyone's arc while at the same time leaving things open for the future. I want to think that these characters will still live tons of adventures, regardless whether I write them down or not.

Wow this is a real page turner right from the start to the finish. If your a lover of fantasy and Magic and twists and turns as well as adventure. This is definitely your read.

This has been such a wonderful series!! This book did not disappoint as an addition to the series. I love the characters and the storyline. I was hooked from the beginning and didn't want to put the book down. The author is such a fantastic writer. I highly recommend reading this series. For me this book deserves 4.5 / 5 stars. I really wanted to give it 5, but something was missing. I had a hard time understanding what it was, but I think I already know. It could give much more. It is a very good book, but the created world and the characters presented are so many and so good, that there isn’t enough time to cover everything.

As in the previous books, so many things happened that some of them simply lost relevance along the way. At least most of my doubts from Kissing Magic got an answer.

I liked the style of Day very much. I love that there is so much humor and sarcasm in the book. But above all I admire her imagination. From creating a new world, she went on to create dimensions, creatures and powers. With a really endless resource of imagination.

This book, and the whole saga are totally recommended for spending a pleasant time, in a world surrounded by magic and wonderful characters.

I really enjoyed this book! Karina who is one of the main characters is easy to identify with for me. She is kind, and will go to the ends of the earth for her friends. She ends up going a bit farther though and getting in some trouble. This she has to be rescued from by mainly Sian(who loves her), Cayla(a friend), and Darian( a friend).

A short breakdown of the characters would be. Sian is a bit of a smart mouth with a good heart. Cayla is an annoyance for me. I'm not sure if the author wants her to be good, or a thorn in Sian's side. Either way, I find myself agreeing with Sian, and disliking Cayla most of the time. Darian is an ok person. He is someone you would want on your side with a calm head.

Mostly, this book goes back and forth between what happens to Karina and then Sian. With some of the happenings of Darian and Cayla. It was a good book to end the way to take you through adventure like this writer's style and end on a high note.

I didn't like the bad guys and I know you aren't supposed to. I just really didn't like the city of Lumina. They seemed stuck on themselves. I did feel a smidge sorry for Satwak, but that was it. I didn't like what happened to him either.

Although, the book is still a 5 in my opinion. There were good things to. Like getting Karina and Sian back together. There is some major thing between Darina and Cayla. That is all I will say. I don't want to hand out anymore spoilers on this wonderful book!

Looking for a portal lands Karina in trouble. It was a fun ride to listen to see what she goes through and in a way she forgets herself. I liked how in a way we circle back to kissing!! I enjoyed catching up with Sid, Darian and Cayla. For a group or teens it’s mind boggling how much trouble they find themselves in. I certainly saw character growth in this book and it was fun to watch them grow up essentially.
I listened to the audiobook, it was narrated by Winona Owen. She narrated the precious book and as before she did a fabulous job!!

I loved this series, and this book. I hope you do another to follow it with lumina in better conditions, both Sian and Karina further along with their abilities and training. I'd like to see where they lead to with their relationship. actually married. Darian and Cayla too!

That was EPIC and AMAZING! There were some "OMG"moments but other that, Within Magic was the best ending for the series. If you haven't read it or the others, do so. You'll probably like it.

Within Magic (Portals to Whyland #3) by Day Leitao is the well done conclusion to the Portals of Whyland series. This conclusion is action packed and emotional conclusion. Stranded across dimensions, what will they do to reach each other? Karina finds a new portal but instead of going to Whyland she ends up elsewhere, breaking the defenses against a sinister city putting Whyland and her friends in danger. She ends up trapped and helpless with even her mind not safe.

In another location Sian has an impossible task: defeat the Maris king. Victory doesn't mean a ticket home. . While this is going on intruders in Whyland force Cayla and Darian to the Light Gardens where more secrets are revealed. Old wounds are about to be opened-and cleansed but the process might be painful.

It was an okay book. The ending though I just didn't find believeable at all and that coupled with the weird illustration - nope.

Overall, while I am glad to see what happened to Sian and Katrina - I'm kinda left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. I think this could have been a great series but this book just failed for me.

Satisfying ending

It started to feel like I'd never get to the end, but I made it. So many things were happening. I have really enjoyed this series, just the grammar bothered me at times. Can't help it, I'm a teavher.
