When sisters Maggie and Kiera McBride bring their friends together for a night of fun, they have no idea what it will lead to. Neither of them expected this crazy group to become like family.
Throughout the next year, follow this group of friends as they navigate ten years of life and love together.
*This 10,000 word novelette is book one of an LGBTQ+ twelve-book series*
Erica Lee finished writing her first book, Dear Santa: I’m Gay, in December 2016. Erica currently lives in Pennsylvania with her wife, dog, chinchilla, and bunny. She spends her days working as an optometrist and her nights snuggled up on the couch with her furry family, binging on netflix or youtube.

This is the introductory novella of The Six Pack series and the first of twelve books. This series has a core group of six friends - Hannah, Keira, Maggie, Amelia, Sarah and Ryann and each friend gets a little bit of air time in this novella. I'm not sure what to think about them individually because it's simply too short for me to form a serious opinion but this feels like a fun group so I'm looking forward to the rest of the eleven books.
4,5 ⭐️ Very short read. Some friends are introduced. Only a short glimpse. Looking forward to see how the stories unfold of the women in the future. Reading book two next.
I’m excited about this! This is book one of twelve and we’ve been introduced to the six friends! This reminds me of a little L Word meets Sex and The City. Bring it!
I know it's silly but this could be the whole novella and I would be happy, lol! Kidding there are too many unanswered questions, still an amazing introduction to this group of friends. I loved the dynamics and that actually convergence as a group is in their twenties, yes, first there was a small group, then came another even smaller group and that's nice because making friends past their twenties or thirties isn't easy but this is very refreshing.
Honestly, I don't know which character I liked more but I'm sure I will discover that before this weekend ends.
I still can't decide who my favourite character is, it may take awhile! I love the idea of having something every month I am literally going to be counting down the days to release! This is an amazing idea and I can't wait to see how the story develops.
Erica Lee is writing a new 12 part series being released this year (2022). This is the first in the series and sets up the original group of friends. Amelia, Sarah, Ryann and Maggie are joined by Maggies younger sister Keira and Hannah who are both still in college. I assume each book will allow for a romance for each of them and follow them in their friendship and life in Philadelphia. I enjoy Lee’s writing and can’t wait. I will add this intro was almost a teaser it is so short.
so, i finished the 1st six novellas, im counting all 12 as 2 separate books since theres so many, and i had a great time with these! i’m not sure how to rate them to be honest, but ive been having a great time and i feel so connected to all the characters even though they’re not long at all. each relationship brings different challenges, different dynamics, different chemistry and events and im loving it. excited to continue the rest🥰
As a standalone book, eh, this was all over the place. But since it’s meant to be part of the series, it was a great intro! Now I know a bit about all the characters, and some of them even got their own mini adventures here. I just have a few questions:
* Keepin’ it straight, huh? We’re going there, lol? * Brett, what were you even thinking? Just tell me how that played out in your head…. Inquiring minds want to know. No actually, wait, just… just leave. * Am I the only one in the world who can’t lift only one eyebrow? Except virtually? 🤨 * Why don’t redheads get more love? I can’t be the only one who has a thing for them? Can I? * Hannah, you didn’t even get her number? * Oh, Hannah, I suddenly have a feeling you’re not going to need her number after all. And that little white lie? Yeah, I don’t think that’s going to be much of a secret either.
Anyway, ended with a great setup, so I sure hope the next one is going there!
The Six Pack introduces six women who will be featured in a total of twelve stories. Maggie and Kiera are sisters who attend a New Year’s Eve party at a bar in 2012 with predominantly Maggie’s friends. They include Amelia, Ryann, Sarah, and Hannah, who are introduced in one chapter for each person. That evening there is one hookup and a one night stand. These events will lead to subsequent books. At the conclusion of the story the friends gather for brunch to recap the previous night and to schedule future get togethers.
This was a satisfying short story to set the stage for more to come.
I am a fan of Erica Lee. She has grown so much from her first book. This books concept exceeds a traditional storyline. It has a little L Word feel to it. Since this was an introduction to the characters, there was no plot and it wasn’t enough to make me love or hate a character. It was missing a hook that pulls you in. It was pretty obvious where the setup is. I will try the next book and see where that takes me.
After reading this set-up novelette that introduces the main characters, it appears to be a fun, new adventure for several friends navigating life after college. I've enjoyed other books from this author and look forward to reading more about these women!
I like the story of a bunch of friends who are there for each other through thick 'n thin. They all seem like good people. My only complaint is how short the story is.. More please!
I usually don’t like cliffhangers, but this one is great. I like that each character is just introduced to us. It did feel short, but maybe it’s because of the other books. I like the varied characters too.
I have been eyeballing this series for a while. I'm glad I picked up book one of The Six Pack. I can't wait to read more about the women introduced in the first book.
I wasn't sure about this concept and put off reading for a while, but I finally got around to it, and I am hooked for sure, and willing to be reeled in at least for book two!
One of the best beginnings of a series I've read this year! The best cliffhanger to date. And amps up the interest adrenaline! So I can begin the next book.
